You get those BEFORE you get the symptoms that are like allergy symptoms but they also can be signs of a cold. :>) How often does this happen?

Hi, welcome to the forum, it typically suggests atopic dermatitis with allergic conjunctivitis which is exaggerated or precipitated during cold season or timing. This condition is sometimes associated with asthma. The triggering factors like dust, fog, pollens etc. can cause the precipitation of these symptoms. Hence, you need to maintain a diary of tings you are and you are not allergic to. A vigorous search for allergen is required.

Hello, My question is the following. A couple of months ago my fiance and I got a cat, the first day I had an allergic reaction immediately, red eyes, sneezing and nasal congestion.

m a 20 year old male and about 2 weeks ago I had unprotected sex with a female. About a week ago I developed a sore throat and then got cold-like symptoms (a stuffy nose and a slight "itchy" cough). The problem is I still have a sore throat, it becomes much more prevalent towards the evening/night, and is the worst when I wake up. It currently is centralized on the left side of my throat for some reason.

Clariton is an antihistamine that has something in it to keep you from getting drowsy (antihistamines normally make you sleepy and can be used for insomnia). I suspect it is the additive in the Clariton that gave you the headache. Some people react badly to it. If you want to try a standard antihistamine get Benadryl. If your symptoms go away then you know it is an allergy and not an infection. If it doesn't work, go to a doctor.

My daughter has nearly all the classic symptoms for celiac, but her bloodwork came back negative. Is this unusual? I had to request an endoscopy to confirm it - the GI dr agreed to do it but says she probably just has a wheat/gluten allergy and that an allergist will have to diagnose that. I thought celiac was an allergy to gluten...any input would be greatly appreciated.

on my last blood work less then a week ago my tsh was 35 but i have the symptoms of being hyper. vs hypo. i am taking synthroid 175 mcg every other day and also 200mcg on the other days. my thyroid was removed 12 years ago and i have been on therapy since then. i see my dr. in 2 week but I'm confused as to why when my tsh represents hypo i seem to share symptoms of both such as weigh loss, trembling in my hands, diahrrea, palpitations but on the other hand I have zero tolerance for cold.

I didnt feel too bad this morning but after changing the bed and dusting i then felt bad but it could just be a coinsidence, i felt really ill and tired, thats not the usual symptoms for dust mite allergy.

3 months back I had sex with my old schoolmate. She is very interested in me from the undergraduate days, but showed cold shoulder on her. Hello there, Welcome to the allergy forum. I see you joined Med help this month. You say you have taken the xyzal tablets for 5 years. That's a long time to be taking a medication. Here is what I would suggest. I would make an appointment with the doctor who prescribed the xyzal tablets for you. I would tell your doctor what you just shared in your post. That if you do not take the tablet for more than a day, you experience itchiness all over your body especially on your arms and legs.

Then that same year during the winter I started getting hives when i get cold. For a few years I had no new symptoms but I dealt with those 2 the best way I could. In april I was shopping when my legs became heavy and I had an overall strange feeling. I came home and went to bed and basically I have been in bed since then. I was haiving severe muscle pain, twitching in my legs. Those last two have ceased but I still cannot walk very well.

I have had cold symptoms for weeks. I finally broke down and went to med express where they pretty much treated me like a criminal for wanting to feel better. I has tried all the home remedies but nothing worked. They ended up giving me an antibiotic at med express. I felt better for a few days but now I feel worse then I did before. I feel like someone is scrapping my throat with a knife everytime I cough which is like every five minutes.

My hands always feel cold after i take allergy medication. Does this happen to anyone else? And why does it do that?

10 days ago, I woke up with sore throat kind of symptom (with pain in neck, normally i will get such pain in neck in allergy season), headache, etc. Dr prescribed me antibiotics which helped me a bit. 4 days ago i went to allergy Dr to get Kenalog steriod shot for my allergy treatment. I woke up that night with night sweat and it has happened few times in last 5 days. I also logs 4 pounds weight in last 10 days (i was 172, now 168).

Stopping dairy may cure you.
