460830 tn?1347219306 ), but I never have had any problem with taking a normal dose of Zyrtec...if I go ahead and take a Zyrtec, and it turns out that I did already take one, would it do any harm?
Avatar m tn I took my dosage and quit hookah. 3 days after the steroids had ended I woke up in the middle of the night with the left side of my tongue swollen. I went to the emergency room and they put me back on steroids and benadryl again. 3 days after my steroid dosage had ended my hand and foot only on the left side started swelling to the point I couldn't walk. Got put back on steroids and zyrtec and some antacids.
850029 tn?1238857820 Does anyone know if you can grow resistant to antihistamines? I've been on Zyrtec for a year and feel like it doesn't work as well as it used to. I know that I have more allergens around me but would think I still should be getting relief. I spend at least $100 a month trying to get some relief. I'm thinking with nothing working I should just save myself $100:) the only time I feel someone what better is taking Advil Cold and Sinus, the Zyrtec seems to do nothing......

689528 tn?1364135841 10mg every day for the first five days and then every other day for the next five, in addition he gets a generic Zyrtec everyday. Now he just gets a zyrtec every day, and if his allergies act up beyond the zyrtec's control, like this time of year ,he gets a prednisone per day for 3 or 4 days and then every other day for two or until things calm down. Zyrtec can be expensive, but we actually found a generic brand at the dollar store! $1. for 14 pills, so we clear their shelves!
Avatar f tn She prescribed him Amoxicillin for his ear and told me something about the dosage. All I remember her saying is something about 1 tsp. I figured the pharmacist would write the dosage on the bottle when I got it so I didn't bother asking the doctor to repeat herself. Well, when I got the medicine today is says take 1 tablet three times daily for 10 days. The only problem is that the Amoxicillin isn't in tablet form. It is a liquid.
Avatar m tn Have you tried claritin? I started using that to combat my allergies with perfume, but found that zyrtec worked better. I'm not sure about other allergy meds though, have you tried nasal sprays? Benadryl knocks me out in seconds so I understand not wanting to take it all the time- have you tried using the tablets and cutting them in half? I found a 1/4 of the adult dosage works well enough on reactions my Zyrtec isn't good enough for without causing excessive drowsiness.
Avatar f tn i went through a lot similar before having my surgery this past June. The doctor prescribef me zyrtec which really did help me alot...
Avatar n tn ve visited some medicine dosage conversion sites but I am horrible at math to begin with and this is just overwhelmingly difficult for me to figure out exactly what amount was given to him. So here is the information that I hope will enable one of you to help me work this out. The medicine bottle says this: 3.2 g/ 100 ml He was prescribed/given: 2 cc (which if I understand correctly is 2 ml?) How much was he given? He weighs 27.5 lbs which as I understand it is 12.5 kg.
Avatar n tn PLEASE help. My question is do you think my child's liver, kidney, or heart could be damaged? How would I know? Here is the story: Greyson had a 102 fever for four days straight with no other symptoms while we were on vacation. I called the Dr.'s office in Florida and the receptionist who answered the phone just said to give him tylenol. That is what I had been doing-it would relieve the fever for just a bit but it would shoot right back to 102 as soon as it wore off.
Avatar n tn has zyrtec been banned,i cant find it anywhere,if it has been banned then wot was the reason?
Avatar f tn he has an allergy related skin condition (Urticaria Pigmentosa), seasonal allergies, and food allergies (tree nuts only). He takes the adult dosage of Zyrtec daily and uses Flonase to keep some of the allergies under control. Because of all of these allergies, I assumed the tongue issue would also be allergy related (the allergy specialist disagrees though). We have also tried Benadryl to no avail. He hasn't had a decent night's sleep in weeks.
1194973 tn?1385503904 I have a wellness pack with differentn things in it, It says children on it but is for babies also and the dosage for infants is on the bottle. Herny got a runny nose not sure if it was teeth or cold starting but it was gone in two days and never got worse. I love Wish Garden stuff! All natural and ot works fast without taking them around other sick kids at the dr. OH and you need a humidifier mroe then a vaporisor. They are cool mist and do not casue mold as easy.
Avatar n tn Do not go by his/her age....use the weight dosage. It is more accurate. If the fever continues, rises, or comes with nuerological symptoms....you need to get him to a doctor.
Avatar n tn My son didn't even notice it. Just keep the front of his diaper rubbed down with a lot of Vaseline. Him being that young I would ask your pediatrition instead of us. We wouldn't be able to tell you the dosage and what not. I don't believe babies that young are suppose to take anything though. I know it's hard looking at their little weenis like that though.
