I am currently on zoloft 75 mg. I have felt less of a sex drive lately and have had just a blah feeling all the time. Although I am not stressed as much, I feel like I am lacking emotion and the desire for sex. I am going to go to the doctors soon, but is there any anti-depressants that do not effect your sex drive?
i am taking zoloft, I have heard of many natural remedies to battle depression. kira St johns with 5htp, etc. Does anyone have a recommendation, specific brand and product?
I am currently 24 years old and taking 100mg of Zoloft once a day. I am vegetarian but am careful to get a complete diet.
Any thoughts on what's causing the spasms?
they are giving him 90mins of resource and speech daily. The dr. has prescribed him zoloft for the anxiety. I have ask the dr. about maybe him having a vitamin defiency or low cholestrol because i ready these things help develop myelin in the brain. My son also has generalized seziures and a chromosome abnormality. All the people i talk to says that they think he falls in the autistic spectrum but the dr says no.
I'm having the same issue! I'm glad I'm not the only one. I think it started when I came abruptly off of Zoloft, which you're not supposed to do (I ran out). Maybe it has something to do with certain drugs in general, pharmaceutical and recreational?
I also have hypothyroidism, generalized anxiety disorder, and depression. I don't see how those would factor in, but who knows?
I have recently developed panic/anxiety problems and I have a prescription of zoloft that I take every day and .5mg of xanax I only take when I feel a panic attack coming on. Other than that I am a calm person and handle my stress very well.

s appointments. My family doc put me on Zoloft 50mg, worked great!! Drove again! Not long distance~but enough to get me around. Took them for awhile, then figured I didn't need them anymore. Well, they started back up after I quit. Soooo, now I'm on 100mg. and not going to stop taking these...lol.
I went to a therapist, I already new that I was sexually abused when I was young. Also in my tween years. Physically/mentally abused by my X-hubby.
This so new to me. I have had mild depression for about 10yr. and always relied on a med to help. Last Feb '10 my dr. put me on abilify and boy did it perk me up. however, the side effects were worse then the depression. no sleep!!! unable to concentrate, overeating, restless legs. So I stopped. I then plunged into the WORST depression and my first panic attack (lasted for 4 days) no eating,heart palpatitions, etc.
Are there any studies with substituting Tryosine or SAMe while trying to get off of zoloft? I cannot cold turkey the zoloft without withdrawel effects. Would I have to gradually add these and take simultaneously with Zoloft? Is it safe to take one or both of these with zoloft? If so, what dosage? Also, is it safe to take zoloft while taking natural harmones ( cream)?
Today I took 1 Vicodin (Labeled M367, 10/325 norco) I took my last Zoloft 14 days ago. I was on 50 mg Zoloft. I took my first Zoloft pill on December 19, 2014 and I took my last Zoloft pill on January 19, 2015.
I'm currently going through Zoloft withdrawals and have many of the typical Zoloft withdrawal symptoms. I was just wondering if taking a Vicodin will interfere with the recovery of my Zoloft withdrawal?
She decided to switch me from zoloft to Lexapro. She said I could immediatly discontinue the zoloft and start on the lexapro 10 mg. I have been feeling a little out of sorts since I have switched and i am wondering if perhaps I should taper off the zoloft and ease into the lexapro.. or does it not matter?
I have taken both Zoloft and Effexor for long periods (not any longer because I am on differnt AD's now) What I can tell you is that (at least in my case) I found Zoloft to be far LESS effective than Effexor.
Zoloft is a one trick poney and effects only Serotonin. Effexor effects both Serotonin and Norephinepherine. Big difference in the two drugs. I am pretty sure you will find Zoloft much less effective, as most people do.
Thank you so much! Today I had a 99.6 fever and bad headaches that are some of the worse headaches that I've had. I've had some trembling in the hands. I'm sleeping well because of the Elavil I am on which is also for depression and neuropathy. It's helped a lot since she switched me. I'm on the highest dose of Zoloft and normally you start out lower. I will feel aweful in the morning and 30mins after taking the Zoloft I feel much better. So it is definitely helping.
New doc says Effexor is a good drug for very depressed people but not for primary anxiety. She is taking me off Effexor 75 mg and onto Zoloft. I have only been on Effexor 6 1/2 weeks. My taper schedule is 37.5 Effexor 1 week, 37.5 every other day plus 25 mg Zoloft 2cd week, no Effexor and 50 mg Zoloft 3rd week. This sounds reasonable to me but I have myself a nervous wreck anyway. I'm scared of withdrawal. I'm also scared Zoloft won't work and I'll feel this way forever.
I am taking Zoloft daily.I still have Ativan,and only take when needed.Which is about twice a month.And the dosage is 0.5mg.
In general, Lexapro has fewer side effects than Zoloft and Luvox. Zoloft causes more nausea, and sexual dysfunction. Sexual dysfunction is also common with Luvox, but less than that caused by Zoloft.
Withdrawal symptoms are highest with Zoloft and Luvox. However, due to lower protein binding in blood, Luvox gets cleared from the body pretty fast compared to Lexapro and Zoloft, so withdrawal symptoms can abate faster.
