Zoloft hot flashes

Common Questions and Answers about Zoloft hot flashes

zoloft

Avatar f tn I've heard Zoloft can reduce hot flashes, as can estrogen, of course. You might try a trial of estrace, if the doctor will prescribe it.

Avatar n tn I am on this zoloft medication for two days and have been getting hot flashes all day. I am a 34 y/o male and wanted to know if this is common in men. As well I am super anxious and irritable in only 2 days of taking this medication. Can someone please shed some light?
Avatar n tn Hi Grandma 1964, I’m surprised that the estrogen has not helped you with the hot flashes after all this time. It seems that helping hot flashes is the one thing that almost everyone agrees estrogen does do well. What particular medication are you taking? I took Premarin for four months last year, and while it did help with the flashes and night sweats, it did little to help with my anxiety, stress and mood swings. If anything, it seemed to make things worse.
Avatar m tn Zoloft is supposed to ease hot flashes, or you could go onto estrace.
Avatar f tn I have what they call brain zaps and I'm dizzy and get hot flashes
94902 tn?1330479667 I did start taking lecithin and it helped with the night sweats and eliminated the hot flashes also.
956433 tn?1255977108 while masturbating i started to feel really weird, i started to get like hot flashes and my body felt cold and hot at the same time, and although i did climax it felt almost as if it was giving me a panic attack, my head got so hot it felt like i had a high grade fever(which i didn't)..
2044839 tn?1331255841 I felt like a zombie and almost felt my anxiety comin back once i started thinking more about how the medicine made me feel. I have pressure in the back of my head as well as cold flashes in the am and hot flashes in the pm. Ive never been on anti deprssents before this. I had to take a xanax today to calm me down and i still feel so drained. Is this normal? I dont think i can handle this medicine. Any adivce???
Avatar n tn I started 50mg of zoloft 9 months ago, and the side effects were gnarly from hot flashes to anxiety, grinding teeth to weird vision and losing 20 lbs. About 3 months ago I decided to wean myself off because I felt great, so I went to 25mg to see how I felt, big mistake! The past 3 months have been hell, I'm slowly regressing to how I was. So I slowly got myself back to 50 to try and bypass side effects. Well I'm experiencing them all over again :( is that normal?
Avatar m tn You should not reduce your dosage without discussing it with your psychiatrist.
Avatar f tn Two nights ago after I put my kids to bed and sat down to relax, I started feeling odd. I began getting hot flashes that seemed to go along with a strange mental disturbance... like I couldn't imagine trying to deal with anyone and I thought I was going to go crazy. (I took a caffiene pill once many years ago that made me feel similar.
956433 tn?1255977108 recently i have been takin zoloft for anxiety and i noticed when i masturbate it causes like extreme orgasms to the point where i get hot flashes like im gonna pass out. i was wondering if anyone else heard or experienced this..at the same time i think it could all be in my head and im just making myself feel this way..
Avatar f tn I am 51 and in menopause, and I was very happy about it- no more periods and no possibility of getting pregnant, however, I am now having so many hot flashes/night sweats that I am only getting a few hours of sleep a night. My sleeping cycle is totally disrupted and I don't feel rested in the morning- (well I should be asleep now but I gave up).
Avatar f tn Pregnancy night sweats are similar to hot flashes, although they take place during the night as a woman sleeps as opposed to hot flashes that occur during the day. Night sweats during pregnancy, which is also known as "nocturnal hyperhydrosis" during pregnancy occur because the body´s temperature gauge begins to malfunction as a result of hormonal imbalance that occurs during pregnancy.
5461254 tn?1368376816 I was honestly scared to death. I was having hot flashes and cold flashes in my chest, back, arms, even in my feet! Yuck!!!!
Avatar f tn I have been on estrogen replacement since my surgery in 1998. I still have moderate-severe hot flashes and they seem to be getting more intense with age. I switched from oral Premarin which covered me pretty well but I didn't want to be taking pills the rest of my life. Since then I have tried a variety of patches that are really not very effective on a regular basis and very expensive. At my age, what do you recommend. Is Premarin dangerous (risk of DVT).
Avatar n tn But I am at a lower dose 25mg/day. I am dying with the nausea (sp), and I now now what women go through with hot flashes.
Avatar n tn I too am on 175 - 200mg of Zoloft and I admit when first starting the medication I was feeling quite dizzy and nauseated. Dosage started at 50mg, then after a week increased, and every week increased until I reached 175mg. In the past my doctor has had me on Celexa and Effexor but Zoloft seems to work the best, for me that is. Everyone is different. I waver between 175 - 200mg depending on the kind of day I'm having.
Avatar m tn I have been light headed all day, have almost fainted once, have mild nausea, hot flashes and chills, and I feel singificant lethargy. I am very reactive to medications, anaphylaxis due to zofran for example, and I am just hoping that these are normal side effects of the medication. Any experience that you all have had with Zoloft would be very beneficial!
Avatar f tn Every time i do anything that exerts energy such as cleaning and then i go to lay down i get really bad hot flashes
Avatar m tn I want to know if this causes hot flashes with normal glucose levels at the time? Or with high glucose levels? I get hot flashed quite frequently and my temp rises. Sometimes up to 99.1, other times lower. I am a male so menopause is out. I am on Humalog and Lantus for insulin. Any help would be great. Thank you.
Avatar f tn I'm 18 weeks and I just started having hot flashes.
