zofran motion sickness

I was at the OB today as he wanted to check on baby xyz before I headed from my home town 8 hours away for 6 days of camping, then back home for 48 hours and then 8+ hours in the opposite direction for more camping. I asked for Zofran as I am familiar with it due to the beginning of my pregnancy, I am 14 week + 6 days now, and I was unsuccessful in getting it. (I do have 5 or 6 left from my prescription).

Are motion sickness pills alright to take for pregnancy nausea/morning sickness?

Sorry I just realized you are only talking about morning sickness not the motion sickness. That being said I think if the zofran is supposed to work you should know right away. I could be wrong but I don't think it's something you have to build up in your system or anything....Anyway again good luck to you!

If your not able to get to the doctors right away i went to Wal-Mart and got motion sickness pills. They were very safe to take. I just looked up medicine online that's safe for pregnant women.

Yes and no to be honest they did nothing..the motion sickness chewable tablets by them worked way better but still didn't help me enough..I was to sick had to have zofran.

I'm 7 weeks and my morning sickeness has increased to an all time high. My first appointment not till the 10th. I've been throwing up thick yellow liquid lately. Is this normal? It's never food just this yellow stuff. Taste really horrible. What is it ? How to make it stop? Also is there anything I can take for this morning sickness? I get motion sickness but since I've been pregnant I haven't been taking my pills for it.

Go to the store and by the sea sickness/motion sickness patches...it's a round patch you stick behind you ear...it helps with the nausea.

m sorry you are having a rough time. You may consider sea bands for motion sickness and also the sea band brand of ginger gum. I found relief off and on with them. I've also heard that b12 vitimins can also help with nausea. I found that for me pretty much anything ginger seemed to help me (even though I hate ginger). You can buy Ginger capsules at most vitimin shops. As always, saltines and water, preggie pops, and time. I hope you feel better soon.

m 8 weeks 1 day pregnant and for a good 3-4 weeks now I have been struggling with morning (all day) sickness. My Dr gave me zofran and it helped a little but lord have mercy did it make me constipated. Not sure which was worse! So....does anyone have suggestions how to make it go by a little easier. I'm vomiting 2-3 times a day and just constantly have upset tummy. I am taking a stool softener to help but have been sparse on the zofran. Any possible natural way to treat this feeling?

I had all day sickness and my doctor prescribed me Zofran and I also took Zantac. Those two together worked wonders for me.

Spearmint gum, anything with natural ginger, and worst comes to worst ask your ob or primary for zofran. I have also heard sea band works(used for motion sickness). My morning sickness has gotten worse with each pregnancy, this one I have a hard time keeping anything down. Just take care of yourself!!

my friend had severe morning sickness and she swore by motion sickness bands their like little wrist bands that you wear for travel sickness! but they also work wonders in pregnancy!

I dont believe in meds while pregnant unless its an affection. The bands are for motion sickness, morning sickness and u wear them on both arms.

Sea bands are the acupressure bracelets that they sell for motion sickness.

To me morning sickness...or all day sickness...feels to me like motion sickness or a hangover. Even if I throw up, I still feel just as horrible. Other things help, but not throwing up. Glad a walk and zofran helped, good to know! I'm not sure we are ever over the hard stuff! Always new challenges!

Foods you crave now will probably settle your stomach. I also used motion sickness bracelets from the drug store with my first baby. Might just have to wait it out though.

They are bands you wear on your wrist that put pressure on a spot that helps ease sickness....you can get them at target in the same section you get motion sickness pills. I feel your pain but trust me it gets better and then you will feel amazing!

also ginger tea and biscuits helped me allot, my friend swears by the motion sickness bands for travel sickness!! she couldnt keep anything down not even water but she was able to eat and keep things down after she used them! their en expensive and can be got in most pharmacys! There is a pill your ob can prescribe. Its the same pill people use for motion sickness. I can't remember what it is called though.

Try ginger ale and make sure to never have an empty stomach and eat some crackers or something before getting out of bed..

meclizine is an antihistamine used for motion sickness and b6 aides in nausea. this was dr. proscribed. it definitely takes the edge off. se days are better than others and i still throw.up every morning but afterwards i feel pretty good. let me know if you try it.

Ondansetron is the same as zofran it works really well

t know about zofran, I took (OTC) motion sickness tablets, and b-vitamin supplements and both methods helped. When I saw those ads about the lawsuits I was happy I hadn't taken zofran.
