Can Ondansetron HCL be used for my 5 month old Lab. puppies, car related motion sicknes?

There are some lawsuits related to it recently, but my doctor said he's never had a patient with an issue. He's still cautious not to use it though and gave me B6 instead. However, I have several family members who took it for the entire 2nd and 3rd trimester and had no problems. If you're getting dehydrated and can't get enough nutrition, your doctor may have judged that the benefits outweigh the risks for you.

I have horrible motion sickness and pretty bad morning sickness. If I lay still while a fan is on me im fine otherwise I feel miserable. Haven't even been to work because every time I move I gag or puke. I have tried peppermint and ginger ale neither helps much. Any ideas on how to stop this so I can work?

Yes, in MOST cases it works, and most cases works wonders, it is the generic for Zofran, I have been off and on Zofran most my life due to GI disorders which cause severe nausea/vomiting and Zofran, or it's generic, has been a godsend for that AND for my morning sickness in both my first pregnancy and my current one.

Try ginger ale. I had HORRIBLE morning sickness and that was the only thihng that kind of eased it. Eat slower and more times a day but smaller meals. Don't drink as much while eating. Don't move too fast. Try crackers or toste. Preggy pops. Motion bands. Those are somethings I tryed. They didn't really work, but you would always try it. I had to get a prosciption medication and stop my prenatal vitamins. I take Zofran before I eat. It's such a life saver, honestly.

To me morning sickness...or all day sickness...feels to me like motion sickness or a hangover. Even if I throw up, I still feel just as horrible. Other things help, but not throwing up. Glad a walk and zofran helped, good to know! I'm not sure we are ever over the hard stuff! Always new challenges!

Anything prescribed always comes with some sort of risk, if you are really worried about it you can try alternative methods like buy some ginger and chew on a piece or make it into tea, saltiness crackers, 7 up, there are a bunch of things just Google it and see what works for you

Hi I hope u feel better I was like that especially after work felt so awful n couldnt keep dinner down im taking ondansetron 4 mgs tablets love them they are true lifesavers and I recommend them talk to your doc about it they have dissolving ones u put under your tongue tell them u want the regular ones your swallow

I just recently took a long plane trip(6 hours time difference) and since returning I have had debilitating motion sickness plus horrible anxiety. I am on day 6 of this. Could this be hormones? I am 51 years old and haven't had a period in 7 months. I don't know what to do. I can not function because I am quite dizzy and feel sick to my stomach. I am considering making an appt with a neurologist. Help!

I had a bad day with being dizzy and neausa. The only thing I did was a little laundry and washed my car and now I suffer for it. It's the little thing's in life that I can't do any more and it is so hard for me to except. I broke down emotionally today because it does get to you not feeling good all the time. My family doesn't understand, but is alway's trying to help make it easier, but of course it doesn't help you feel better.

I had major motion sickness especially in a moving vehicle when I was 19weeks! Lol it was terrible, I would get so mad at BD for every little turn he made Lol.. it does go away and I was so happy when it did, I would avoid leaving the house unless I absolutely HAD to go somewhere, I just hybernated myself Lol.

ve been Lucky with Morning sickness and only had it a handful of times, but if I do too much motion, I end up sick every single time. Was sitting on a swing earlier and ended up getting nauseous. i am on a few different mixes of meds one being Ondansetron or ZOFRAN as well as vitamin b6 and unisom... and instead of the huge horse pill for prenatal vitamins i take flinstone gummies... i am a day shy of 17 weeks and am still pretty sick... talk to your doctor and they will help as much as they can... sorry for being a bad news mommy but i think its just something you have to deal with.. best of luck!!!

I am 12 weeks and have terrible morning sickness and nausea. the wafers are all that works. i am having trouble getting a script larger than four wafer or tablets. its really started to drive me mental. i am having to go to the doctor every four days just so i am able to function for work. any suggestions on how to get around this problem??

I am not happy with taking drugs while pregnant but I have lost a extrem amount of weight and it has been stressed to me medication and iv fluids are absolutely necessary. So have been taking Ondansetron (Zofran) and another prochlorperazine. I am very scared of what I have heard about these two drugs and my huge question is what medications do you pregnant women out there trust???

I have the same problems! The headache included! It gets annoying, but nothing really has worked wih me so far :( so I guess im not much of a help... I just really hope is a first semster thing only!

I'm jealous! Haha. I can't go a day without taking ondansetron or else I get sick. Even when I do take it brushing my teeth can make me gag and once I gag I vomit. On top of that I'm getting heartburn now and I'm 11 weeks! Oh and my "morning sickness" is mostly in the morning for like 5 hours.
