I just found out I'm pregnant a few days ago. My morning sickness is really all day, all night sickness. Any suggestions on foods or anything?

Hi my morning sickness is terrible.. This is my 3rd child and the morning sickness never gets better can I get some helpful tips on how to relieve this...even if its only a small relief... I'm sick from sun up to sun down...

My question is has anyone else experienced this? Feels like my morning sickness did without all the puking. But can you even have morning sickness the whole time? Advice? Experience with this?

During your next doctors appointment, ask for Zofran. The generic (ondansetron hcl) is usually really cheap, and it's a miracle. I have not just morning sickness, but all day, 24/7 sickness annnnd I work in an ER where smells are abundant. I have spoken with not only my OB, but several ER docs and they all swear by Zofran. The usual prescription is 4mg, but you can take up to 8mg at a time.

Does any of the medicine the docs give for morning sickness actually work? Everything else Ive tried isnt helping and its so terrible! I barely get through work and if it gets any worse Im not going to be able to work I really dont want that!

Ondansetron is the generic for Zofran. Why would you refuse it? It's safe to take or your Dr wouldn't prescribe it to you. There's other meds out there if you don't want to take it. My Dr gave me Diclegis. It helped take the edge off the nausea.

Hello! This is me and my husband's first pregnancy/baby :-) I am 8.5 weeks and the morning sickness is so bad I can't anything! I go from bed to couch back to bed... I work full time and have had to call out several times so far... MD gave me some anti nausea pills they kind of work but mostly put me to sleep...any suggestions?

HG is NOTHING like morming sickness. I had morning sickness with my first and I survived it easily. This pregnancy put me on my back with HG and unless someone has had it to the point of constant hospitalisations they won't get it. I would try not to worry, because your options are to take the medication and be able to eat enough for your safety and your baby's or to suffer from dehydration and starvation which would severely affect you both. When my morning sickness got really bad I lived off of smoothies. And frozen yogurt tubes. Diclectin and ondansetron work really well too.

Take a few sips of coke when you feel sick! Your not supposed to drink pop but when I had morning sickness I was so sick that my doctor told me to literally eat and drink whatever I wanted because I needed the calories that bad. So I wouldn't worry about drinking caffeine if I were you.

Has anyone taken this for nausea? Its generic for zofran which has some medical lawsuits due to it causing clef pallet and heart defects in babies. I was given one at the hospital yesterday after my ob sent me bc of a pain in my side and really bad vomiting. And now I have a prescription for it. The side effects list is soo long.
