Is zofran safe to rake during pregnancy? I've read some stories and some say it's not and can cause heart defects is this true?
Hello! I am 34 years old for the past 2 years I have been getting nausea with constant headache for 6 days before my period. It's to the point where I'm on zofran and have maxalt for headache. I can't leave my house because I feel like I'm going to vomit but I don't. I guess that's a good thing, lol zofran works. Once I get my period it goes away! Anyone experience this or have any feedback thank you!!!
Any mom's to be out there with really awful morning sickness that are taking Zofran? Is it helping you through the worst of times?
I am 35+5 and I took zofran at the beginning of my pregnancy. I have heard awful things about birth defects recently and now I am worried. Are there any mommies out there that have had any positive or negative experiences with zofran?
Has anyone taken Zofran and what are some of your side effects? My morning sickness has been horrible...the worst ever. I am usually in bed all day and feeling like I can't do anything. My doctor initially prescribed Diclegis, but it doesn't help me. It made me sleep all day, causing me to skip meals and drinks. It also have me bad headaches. So I asked my DR to please let me try something else. At this point, I'm in tears because I can't keep anything down. Dr calls in Zofran.
My Mom doesn't let me take any medicine..i would take zofran 3 times a day for nausea, but reduced it to 1 now..As for the headache i sleep through it too.. but jus doesn't work! So I forget the headache n keep myself busy..
I had cortizone epidural 2 weeks ago got spinal leak horrible headache with vomiting got blood patch 1 week ago still have headache and vomiting I'm scheduled for second blood patch in 2 days what do the doctors do if it doesn't work my brains feel like they are coming out my neck
I was prescribed Zofran to help and it wad truly god sent. Lol. I haf stopped taking the medication around 23 weeks cause the nausea and sickness subsided. But all the sudden today i feel beyond tired, no strength, really bad nausea to yhe point i had to take a Zofran. It helped i wad able to eat anf start feeling better, well now i have this horrible headache between my eyes, diarrhea (to the point i couldn't hold it in, sorry tmi), and lower abdominal cramping.
Am I the only one who doesn't understand why doctor keep prescribing zofran and its on commercial saying it may cause birth defects in your baby. Sorry but I don't wanna stop throwing up that bad.
I think it is worth it. What have you tried so far? Many people with mild nausea get a lot of help from ginger (tea, candied, or capsules), and keeping your fluid intake very high is helpful too. If the nausea is severe those measures probably won't do it and you should try prescription meds. Most of us have had very good results from Zofran, though there are occasional people who get nothing but a headache from it. For me, Zofran is nothing short of a miracle.
Has anyone taken zofran for hyperemises? What was your experience with it? This is my third pregnancy and the first time I have experienced severe morning sickness. I have two boys and only had mild nausea with each of them. It is getting worse. To the point where I can't keep anything down. My midwife suggested I take zofran. I'm nervous about it but also need to be able to function and not be hospitalized for malnutrition or dehydration.
I took zofran and didn't feel any side effects from it, but I was only taking it on an as-needed basis. It's hard to tell if those symptoms are side effects or just pregnancy lol I think it may just he normal but I'd call and ask my doctor and he/she might recommend something for it to help you out.
Im thinking that this is my worst symptom lately, so I spent hours reading about it last night. I learned that I should take Zofran or phenergan at the first sign of it, because it most likely won't go away by itself. The home remedies don't really do the trick.
Except for ice cream, go figure.
Funny how when you go to the dr. there's a pain scale, but there's not a nausea scale. (I have my own though).
Ive had morning sickness before,but this time ive had to be put in the er twice for iv fluids. The dr put me on zofran but without that im sol....any one else have a similar problem?
was given Bendryal, Zofran, magesium and torodol (iv push): No help again, not worse. Also gave him 50mg of Seroquel to sleep.
*On THursday (day 5) iv meds again: Zofran, Depacon, steriods, Torodol (iv push): No help, not sorse but not all any better. All of these drugs were iv fusion. Also gave hime 50mg of Seroquel to sleep.
*Friday (Day 6) Called neurologist, went in ER was given: Torodol & rofran: Nothing no help.
She is tonite extrememly ill with nausea and headache . Zofran nor Emend bring relief. I take Zofran prn during chemo, along with the E the first 3 days and have not had much of a problem. Is there something else out there aside fro Compazine, Zofran, Emend that she may speak to Doc about? Thanks in advance.
I am in my 15th week...n all d problems which were unbearable has just disappeared for me..except headache which are still der whole day but apart from that all is gudd now...so all the mommaz who are just sick coz of the frst trimester can hope to feel bttr soon by this time just like I m feeling...it feels wonderful to feel normal eat normal..
Some times she remains normal for 2 to 3 months but some time headache occurs twice a week. The headache usually changes its position i.e. some times on right side of head and some times on left side. Some times in Forehead and other time in back of the head. She takes PONSTON tablet for relief. During Headache its blood Pressure becomes low. She is also Low Blood Pressure Patient. Some times vomiting also occur during headache. Please give me your expert opinion for this problem.
