zofran

Avatar f tn Has anyone taken Zofran and what are some of your side effects? My morning sickness has been horrible...the worst ever. I am usually in bed all day and feeling like I can't do anything. My doctor initially prescribed Diclegis, but it doesn't help me. It made me sleep all day, causing me to skip meals and drinks. It also have me bad headaches. So I asked my DR to please let me try something else. At this point, I'm in tears because I can't keep anything down. Dr calls in Zofran.
Avatar f tn I took zofran and didn't feel any side effects from it, but I was only taking it on an as-needed basis. It's hard to tell if those symptoms are side effects or just pregnancy lol I think it may just he normal but I'd call and ask my doctor and he/she might recommend something for it to help you out.
Avatar f tn Love it. Ive used it for migraine nausea and vomiting too. I personally haven't had any side effects. I love that it works faster than promethazine. I would always throw up the promethazine bc it takes alot longer than zofran.
Avatar n tn Hi there, Ondansetron is used for treating vomiting. Constipation, dizziness and headache are the most commonly reported side effects associated with its use. These symptoms will ware off once you have stopped using the medication. This is merely an advice and not a substitute for clinical examination. I hope it helps. Best wishes and regards!
Avatar f tn I'm a RN and was so sick I couldn't function at work. Took zofran and it was the only thing that worked for me. I would suggest taking a stool softener with it cause it will constipate you really bad.
Avatar m tn I think you need to have a serious discussion with your doctor, considering long term potential benefits and the seriousness of the side effects. Many people have trouble tolerating the treatment and if you feel it's too much to take, then by all means stop it. I'm not an advocate of ECT, but my point is simply that in the bigger picture you can't simply write it off as "bad.
Avatar f tn This does not mean no one has side effects, but I had none that I noticed. Most of the Zofran side affects are the same as I was already experiencing with the Interferon and Hep C drugs, so I would not know anyway, LOL. http://www.drugs.com/sfx/zofran-side-effects.html "All medicines may cause side effects, but many people have no, or minor, side effects.
Avatar f tn Nothing wrong with my babies. I feel like there is a risk with every medicine. If you look up side effects to anything there is always somethi g.But sometimes you don't have a choice. I was puking non stop. Until 20 weeks. Side effects are very minimale to very few people.
Avatar f tn It is true, but there are risks and possible side effects with any medications.
585414 tn?1288941302 I was unable to tolerate all anti Parkinsonian agents because they enduced psychosis as well as alpha blockers such as Clonidine because they enduced suicidal ideations. Has Zofran been regularly used as safe and effective for Zofran? What are the side effects? And also given I read it helped psychosis from Parkinson's could it help what is being studied as tardive psychosis.
7753764 tn?1401853590 ve been taking Zofran the dissolvable tablet every morning and every evening and had only occasionally been throwing up well this morning I woke up with a horrible headache which is sadly one of the side effects of Zofran but it beats throwing up 6 times a day well now even the pill isn't helping. I have thrown up everything I've eaten today and all I've eaten is a bowl of cereal. Anyone else experience this?
Avatar f tn So today my Celexa dose was upped from half a pill to 1 whole pill and the side effects are coming back like when I first started... Sweaty, can't sleep, headache, stiff neck, clenching teeth... Etc. I don't know what to do. I tried taking stuff for it, including an Oxy but still no change. What can I take to make these side effects not so bad? I don't see the dr till Thursday, so I can't ask her... If anyone has any suggestions?
Avatar m tn Since then we found out that Risperidone is know for side effects such as tardive dyskinesia. We are seriously concerned now. Will this be permanent ? What is the best way to examine this problem ? Thanks for any suggestions !
Avatar f tn I never experienced nausea with Topamax but i did experience many other side effects. It definitely cleared the migraines the best. However, over time and with the increase dose of 200 mg eventually I became aphasic, unable to recall recent events, numbness in my extremities and eventually lost my job due to the neurological symtoms. Now i am on Inderal or propranolol which is a beta blocker and only 80 mg and it helps the headaches without the side effects. Talk to your doctor and suggest it.
Avatar f tn Hi everyone, I had a LP last Thursday and everything was ok till yesterday I got a headache that came and went but this morning I woke up with the headache and have also been throwing up, does this sound normal, should I wait it out.
Avatar f tn My doctor gave me a Zofran substitute because the original was said to cause horrible side effects to the baby. But of course nothing is perfect and not worth risking my baby, so I stopped taking the substitute and have just been dealing with the throwing up (I'm now 33 weeks and I've thrown up since the first few days of being pregnant. It ***** but its not impossible to deal with).
Avatar m tn It has a reputation for being expensive and being difficult to get insurance to cover, but it recently went generic so those are no longer problems. BTW, I have had zero side effects from Zofran. Good luck, and congrats on being near thee d of your tx!
Avatar n tn t say the sx bother me or if I notice any. I do from neupogin. There are side effects but much like ones felt from riba or peg. Just a short time for you till the end. I have 6 more weeks myself. On and off procrit and neupogin depending on my labs.
2129735 tn?1336423434 Good Afternoon Everyone, Please excuse my grammar and spelling. I am horrible on my best day now between pain meds and tiredness makes it ten times worse! Since my surgery, one week ago,I have been doing well. I was in a lot of pain but they finally got that magaged . I get hickups almost every time I stand up from either laying down or sitting. Which is quite oain full for the incision. Also I have such vivid nighmares/dreams I have to physically sit up mid-dream to wake myself.
Avatar f tn It has unknown side effects just like every other medication there is on this earth! Do some online research into possible side effects, talk to your doctor about possible side effects, and read the packaging for possible side effects...
4344342 tn?1353282035 I hope you've gotten the Zofran by now. That stuff really saved my butt during the Incivek phase. The form I was given is a tiny little pill that you just put on your tongue and it rapidly dissolves. I was prescribed 1 every 8 hours, as needed. I always took it before my meal and pills, and it quelled my nausea within about 15 minutes. I'd be struggling not to vomit and 15 minutes later I not only didn't have an urge to vomit, but I'd actually sort of feel hungry!
Avatar f tn The risk associated with dehydration and malnutrition due to HG is far greater than the potential side effects of Zofran and Reglan. My little guy is perfectly healthy up to this point. To each their own though.
Avatar m tn I have read of a few others who are having similar side effects. Perhaps they will come on an share their experience. You can also click on the magnifying glass icon near the "post a question" and search.
Avatar f tn I have terrible morning sickness and I was given a prescription for ondansetron 4mg which is the generic version of zofran. I'm scared to take it because of the possible side effects and the warnings I've seen on TV. I don't want to take any risks when it comes to my baby. Any thoughts on this?
Avatar f tn s helped me and it says there are no side effects to me and my baby but some thing I was reading online says about causing cleft palates has anyone else taken this and is your baby perfectly fine?
