Has anyone taken Zofran and what are some of your side effects? My morning sickness has been horrible...the worst ever. I am usually in bed all day and feeling like I can't do anything. My doctor initially prescribed Diclegis, but it doesn't help me. It made me sleep all day, causing me to skip meals and drinks. It also have me bad headaches. So I asked my DR to please let me try something else. At this point, I'm in tears because I can't keep anything down. Dr calls in Zofran.

I took zofran and didn't feel any side effects from it, but I was only taking it on an as-needed basis. It's hard to tell if those symptoms are side effects or just pregnancy lol I think it may just he normal but I'd call and ask my doctor and he/she might recommend something for it to help you out.

I got the zofran pills but the headaches and constipation side effects is not fun at all so on top of that Tylenol and other medicines for constipation i just feel like im putting too much in my body

Every single commercial you see regarding a drug hits the rare side effects at the very end. Zofran is used in labor routinely and safely. I had to have it in both of my deliveries due to nausea and vomiting (seems I am a total wimp and that is part of my pain reaction). Listen to any drug add and they, at the very end, list a couple of things that according to the package inserts on these drugs is are very low but legally they have to mention them in order to broadcast an ad.

i used zofran during my 3rd trimester without ill effects.

My first resort was b6+unisom, advised from doc. Helped most of the time, but in extremes 8took phenergan. Was also given zofran but it can cause severe constipation. If you don't feel safe taking it, don't. Do some research & find out what you feel comfortable taking.

I'm 14 weeks pregnant with my first child and I've had severe nausea and vomiting to where I've lost almost 20 pounds. My doctor gave me Zofran and I was wondering if anyone has had complications, birth defects, or know anyone who has.

Hi there, Ondansetron is used for treating vomiting. Constipation, dizziness and headache are the most commonly reported side effects associated with its use. I'm 13w3d, but had horrible nausea. It's starting to get better, but not gone completely. My doctor started me with b6 & unisom. Take together at night & helps with sleep. Helped some, but not enough. Was prescribed phenergan & zofran (not to take together). Zofran I haven't taken, but have heard it's amazing. Also heard a horrible side effect is constipation, so I stuck with phenergan.

Yours is definitely extreme. I understand now why they gave me only 4 mg tabs. Now the prozac, thats a different story for me. My first round of tx they started me on prozac before tx after interview with wife and then doubled it when tx started. This time I am on nothing but am headed to gp for script before I wake up dead. I have butt head syndrome magnified with the incivik and really need the smile pill. Seems like everyone else has it quite mild and is using as needed.

Love it. Ive used it for migraine nausea and vomiting too. I personally haven't had any side effects. I love that it works faster than promethazine. I would always throw up the promethazine bc it takes alot longer than zofran.

Also, if you go for Zofran, have some sort of stool softener on hand, mirilax, colace, something because Zofran is known for its side effect of constipation. Hope that helps some and good luck!

This does not mean no one has side effects, but I had none that I noticed. I was unable to tolerate all anti Parkinsonian agents because they enduced psychosis as well as alpha blockers such as Clonidine because they enduced suicidal ideations. Has Zofran been regularly used as safe and effective for Zofran? What are the side effects? And also given I read it helped psychosis from Parkinson's could it help what is being studied as tardive psychosis.

Im 13 wks n I stopped taking my perscription of knock off zofran because of severe headaches and constipation which are the side effects. I was taking it almost every day for like almost 3 wks figured it cant b healthy to take it like that. Well without it I puke almost 8-12 xs every other day n bout 4 on the good days. I havent gained a pound yet. Ill take ANY advice any food that helps.

I also take Zofran. It's the only thing that has helped me keep food down. Love it but it does make you constipated.

Some say to take b6 with half tablet of unisom, but keep in mind that will have side effects like constipation and dry eyes/throat. Use caution with any medication.

I think you need to have a serious discussion with your doctor, considering long term potential benefits and the seriousness of the side effects. Many people have trouble tolerating the treatment and if you feel it's too much to take, then by all means stop it. I'm not an advocate of ECT, but my point is simply that in the bigger picture you can't simply write it off as "bad.

I hate the zofran! Omg its a miracle worker for the nausea but the constipation is the worst. Raisin bran crunch worked for me. That and activia yogurt!

Nothing wrong with my babies. I feel like there is a risk with every medicine. If you look up side effects to anything there is always somethi g.But sometimes you don't have a choice. I was puking non stop. Until 20 weeks. Side effects are very minimale to very few people.

I'm taking Zofran for nausea but it's making me constipated. I read that Juice Plus is a great supplement during pregnancy and may help with the constipation. Anyone out there tried Juice Plus?

Iv always suffered with constipation and it gets so much worse during pregnancy it's unreal, haven't had BM in 2 weeks now (sometimes it's longer). I took 1 dulcolax tablet on Monday night, woke up at 4am with stomach cramps. It's been 2 days and the diarrhea is just going away but iv still not had a bowel movement. Went to see a gastro doctor yesterday who prescribed me Docusate 100mg (Colace).

If you can tough it out, avoid the Zofran. It frequently causes constipation. I was on it and in misery weeks 8-19. That being said, if you're losing weight or unable to function you may have to take it. Just a warning on the side effects. I had to take it--vomiting every 20 minutes without it.

I was exactly the same zofran help my nausea but made constipation bad miralax worked for me not right away but I finally had bowel movement.
