Is zofran safe to rake during pregnancy? I've read some stories and some say it's not and can cause heart defects is this true?

I have headache and shoulderache almost 24/7. Even sleeping doesnt help me out. Is this normal during 17 wks if preg ??

Hello! I am 34 years old for the past 2 years I have been getting nausea with constant headache for 6 days before my period. It's to the point where I'm on zofran and have maxalt for headache. I can't leave my house because I feel like I'm going to vomit but I don't. I guess that's a good thing, lol zofran works. Once I get my period it goes away! Anyone experience this or have any feedback thank you!!!

It worked really well for me, it made me very loopy an sleepy and can cause a headache. But taking it was sometimes the only way I was able to eat a meal during my first trimester.

I am 35+5 and I took zofran at the beginning of my pregnancy. I have heard awful things about birth defects recently and now I am worried. Are there any mommies out there that have had any positive or negative experiences with zofran?

Has anyone taken Zofran and what are some of your side effects? My morning sickness has been horrible...the worst ever. I am usually in bed all day and feeling like I can't do anything. My doctor initially prescribed Diclegis, but it doesn't help me. It made me sleep all day, causing me to skip meals and drinks. It also have me bad headaches. So I asked my DR to please let me try something else. At this point, I'm in tears because I can't keep anything down. Dr calls in Zofran.

I'm in 14th week and have severe headache. Anyone else has it? What do you do about it?

I was prescribed Zofran to help and it wad truly god sent. Lol. I haf stopped taking the medication around 23 weeks cause the nausea and sickness subsided. But all the sudden today i feel beyond tired, no strength, really bad nausea to yhe point i had to take a Zofran. It helped i wad able to eat anf start feeling better, well now i have this horrible headache between my eyes, diarrhea (to the point i couldn't hold it in, sorry tmi), and lower abdominal cramping.

ve been taking Zofran the dissolvable tablet every morning and every evening and had only occasionally been throwing up well this morning I woke up with a horrible headache which is sadly one of the side effects of Zofran but it beats throwing up 6 times a day well now even the pill isn't helping. I have thrown up everything I've eaten today and all I've eaten is a bowl of cereal. Anyone else experience this?

Zofran was like a miracle drug for me. I was so nauseated and bloated and very sick. As soon as I got the Zofran I felt 1000% better. I used Zofran 8 mg. every 8 hours.

Now i am on Inderal or propranolol which is a beta blocker and only 80 mg and it helps the headaches without the side effects. Talk to your doctor and suggest it.

I had the same problem but got worse in a couple days were everything I drank and ate came back up, because my headache was bringing on such bad nausea. Doctor fave me zofran and told me to take 1 Tylenol 3 to get rid of the headache one and for all. He suggested that in the future the instant I feel a slight headache coming on to take regular Tylenol right away. Works better and gets rid of it a the root before it can escalate, because once it dies it can regular Tylenol is no help.

I just ate lots of fruits and drank water and trust me when you start throwing up its no joke

Has anyone taken zofran for hyperemises? What was your experience with it? This is my third pregnancy and the first time I have experienced severe morning sickness. I have two boys and only had mild nausea with each of them. It is getting worse. To the point where I can't keep anything down. My midwife suggested I take zofran. I'm nervous about it but also need to be able to function and not be hospitalized for malnutrition or dehydration.

I took zofran and didn't feel any side effects from it, but I was only taking it on an as-needed basis. It's hard to tell if those symptoms are side effects or just pregnancy lol I think it may just he normal but I'd call and ask my doctor and he/she might recommend something for it to help you out.

Ive tried several of the anti nausea medications and zofran worked the best for me depending on the headache. Some headaches or migraines I get none of the anti nausea medications work I end up sick anyway. Hope you can get some and it helps you.

Gel phenegran did the trick for me! Zofran just gave me a headache and didn't help.

Ive had morning sickness before,but this time ive had to be put in the er twice for iv fluids. The dr put me on zofran but without that im sol....any one else have a similar problem?

was given Bendryal, Zofran, magesium and torodol (iv push): No help again, not worse. Also gave him 50mg of Seroquel to sleep. *On THursday (day 5) iv meds again: Zofran, Depacon, steriods, Torodol (iv push): No help, not sorse but not all any better. All of these drugs were iv fusion. Also gave hime 50mg of Seroquel to sleep. *Friday (Day 6) Called neurologist, went in ER was given: Torodol & rofran: Nothing no help.

I hope you've gotten the Zofran by now. That stuff really saved my butt during the Incivek phase. The form I was given is a tiny little pill that you just put on your tongue and it rapidly dissolves. I was prescribed 1 every 8 hours, as needed. I always took it before my meal and pills, and it quelled my nausea within about 15 minutes. I'd be struggling not to vomit and 15 minutes later I not only didn't have an urge to vomit, but I'd actually sort of feel hungry!

She is tonite extrememly ill with nausea and headache . Zofran nor Emend bring relief. I take Zofran prn during chemo, along with the E the first 3 days and have not had much of a problem. Is there something else out there aside fro Compazine, Zofran, Emend that she may speak to Doc about? Thanks in advance.

Even losing one or two doses to vomiting could put you at more risk of viral mutation and breakthrough. The Zofran is a tiny tablet that you dissolve on your tongue every 8 hours as needed and it works very quickly and without sx in most people. For me it was a miracle drug – I was vomiting and 15 minutes later I had no nausea and actually felt a little hungry. Other anti-nausea drugs tend to cause some sedation (severe in me), but not this one.

I took it at night before I went to bed and it made me sleep all the time. I stopped it because I don't want to sleep this whole pregnancy. If u don't have insurance it's $98 bucks for the prescription.

Try making your self some tea made from ginger (without the caffeine ) helps with the nausea. I took zofran and it did help a little plus it taste good but it made me super hungry after which didn't really help with the nausea since I gobbled everything down.

I was unable to tolerate all anti Parkinsonian agents because they enduced psychosis as well as alpha blockers such as Clonidine because they enduced suicidal ideations. Has Zofran been regularly used as safe and effective for Zofran? What are the side effects? And also given I read it helped psychosis from Parkinson's could it help what is being studied as tardive psychosis.

ve been taking vitamin b6 and unisom tablets at night before I go to bed and I wake up feeling completely normal. And later when I feel nauseous I take zofran and a preggy pop and drink some ginger ale! You'll feel as good as new!!
