The unisom is a category A and benedryl is a category b. Both considered safe but A is safest and down to D is unsafe. Zofran is also a category b and phenegren which I have had too is a category c. So i quit taking it unless I really can't stop throwing up.

is zofran safe to take during pregnancy... im 9 weeks and 4 days and the nasuea has been so bad i cant keep anythinf down at all...

If it's possible to go to the doctor before your trip, I suggest maybe getting some Zofran. It's safe to take during pregnancy and is like a miracle pill.

This is my first pregnancy. Im now 23 weeks and still vomiting. Its so bad they prescribed me zofran. Ive been taking it ever since I entered my 2nd trimester.Ive been told there is lawsuits with this medicine as it causes birth defects. Any advice?

m not saying its not safe, just that safety has not been established. I personally am on Zofran which is a category B, there are a few other Rx ones as well also category B. As for OTC I know Benadryl is safe as is Dramamine.

ve taken Zofran, and it was the only med helped me with my nausea. I talked to my doctor about it cause I did see the TV commercials about it but my Doc said that patients that had taken Zofran had healthy babies so I'm not to worried. Besides can't believe everything you hear.

Well I was on omeprazol and my OB took me off because it wasn't super safe and tested during pregnancy! But the doctor that confirmed my pregnancy told me it was fine. I think that there are some medications that are on the edge (like zofran) and had many different opinions. I always choose the natural route during my pregnancy though and I've suffered with GERD or acid reflux my entire life!

Zofran is category b drug. Your baby is safe :) I had to take that as well in the beginning and now I am 34w4d with twin girls who are very healthy. Also I work in a pharmacy. Congratulations on your pregnancy.

Taking zofran can cause birth defects, and a serious, life threatening reaction in the mother, called serotonin syndrome. That's so funny! My husband and I are flying to Florida on Thursday and it's also about a 4 hour flight for me! I just called the clinic to see what I should do as I am only like 4 weeks and although I don't have morning sickness yet, I get severe motion sickness when I fly. He told me to take an over the counter, generic, travel sickness medication. The active ingredient is "Meclizine" The pills are 25 mg but they said a starting dose would be 12 mg or half a pill.

We all sound like a bunch of drug addicts on here like "Yes! Yes! More Zofran! I need it" ... But its funny how much people who don't get morning sickness just don't get it. My insurance was being finicky about covering the Zofran so for like a week I stopped and I was so sick that I couldn't work and on Monday was in the ER. It really is a life saver especially if you are working or have other children to take care of and can't spend your days in bed.

m stable now and baby is fine, thank God, but I am now on Zofran and Phenergan. I was very concerned about the Phenergan because it's a pregnancy category c drug, but my Dr. has eased my worries slightly by saying it's not their first choice, but they do prescribe it all the time... What meds are you on, are they helping??

5,yr old I spend 80-90% of my day in the bathroom...its horrid. Zofran helps a little bit and is a category b med. Diclegis is a category a med for pregnancy but it didn't touch my nausea and vomiting...good.luck hun!

I had miscarriages my past 2 pregnancies. I can't prove it was zofran related but I think so. Both occurred about a week after a started taking it. This is my 3rd pregnancy and I refused the zofran and so far baby is perfect.

I used diclegis in very early pregnacy it Category A and did wonders my sickness went away around 12 weeks. If u cant keep anything down even fluids than you need something to relieve the sickness your doc wouldn't prescribe something they didn't feel was okay.

Yea i took it with my daughter and shes amazing and healthy it really did help alot too.

It is perfectly fine to take while pregnant I took it threw out my first pregnancy and I'm currently taking it now threw my second pregnancy :)
