s a godsend of a medication lol. I had a double ear infection, double sinus infection, and stage 1 phumonia(sp), and Zithromax had me cleared up and feeling better withen the same night of taking it. I was also worried to take it at first, so I called almost every pharmacy in town and asked about it, and I got the same answer, which is it's safe, and I even called my doc and double checked with him lmao.
Zithromax does cross into the placenta, but not as much as other antibiotics.
About three weeks ago i had unprotested sex with a woman, who I have no idea her sexual past. Aprrox. 2 weeks ago i got a chest and sinus cold. My doc put me on Zithromax, the next day I started to feel burning while peeing, so I started taking cipro with the zithro thinking I had a UTI. The burning did not go away, i went and saw my doc about this and he took swabs for chlamydia and gonorrhea.
t yet developed the infection, as would be indicated by the presence of a lesion or a positive blood test, than it takes for curative treatment. The augmentin taken twice daily for two weeks would certainly cure and prevent development of syphilis. The combination of cefixime and azithromycin would most probably prevent infection but it would not be curative if the infection was established.

I have had unprotected sex with a girlfriend and after three weeks i experienced a cloudy discharge from my penis and also a tingling sensation which I suspect as a chlamydial infection or NGU. I took 1g of zithromax and also took 5days of doxycycline 100mg. bid. After the medication my symptoms disappeared. After a few days however my testicles ached after i drank a large amount of liqour. I took another zithromax dosage and this time 1g on the first day and 500mg for another two days.
I'm female and have had burning and general discomfort during urination for around two and a half months. I thought I had a UTI or a yeast infection, both of which I get pretty frequently. My gp did a pelvic exam, tested for STDs, and did a urinalysis. All of this came back negative, but she gave me a course of antiobiotics (bactrim) and yeast medicine just in case. These didn't work, so she sent me to a urologist.

Today I went to my actual Dr and he gave me a Urinealysis which came back negative for any infection. He also did a culture, which will take a few days to come back. He didn't give me anymore antibiodics since he said the shot I had would have covered any infection..However, I'm still feeling pressure and the constant need to pee. Like every few minutes, but I'm not producing much pee at all when I go...even after I drink a lot...it still seems like there isn't much pee...
Is there a chance that the initial treatments for my girlfriend and I did not clear up the infection completely? Is Levaquin a treatment for these and would the extended course have cleared these up? I do not have the classic symptoms of either of these maladies but my urinary tract does not feel 100% right.
I appreciate any help you can give.
my wide took amoxcillin 1000 g 2 x times a day for a throat infection. She did this for 8 days. And i took 1g zithromax the same time and we didn't had sex for a week.
Oktober: my wife was treated with azithromycine sandoz 1g and 500 mg the next day because she had her wisdom teeth removed. i took doxycycline 100 mg a day for 5 days and also 1,5 g zithromax on day 6. My wufe and i had sex after 7 days that i took the doxy and she the azithromycine.
Questions.
This could be a result of the chlamydia, but it may be worth a call to your doctor. How are you taking the zithromax? You should have taken 1000 mgs at one time for it to be effective. It doesn't sound like that's what you're doing?

Went to the clinic shortly after symptoms appeared and was treated for chlamydia (1g zithromax). Within a week the irritation urinating got seriously worse and I developed a terrible eye infection. My tests for chlamydia/gonorrhea came back negative and the nurse said it could be a urinary tract infection. A week after treatment the discharge is clear but heavy now and urinating is very painful. I have lots of swelling and redness at the opening of my urethra.
It's possible, i'll do a follow up for sure, just wanted to know how long it could take Zithromax to completely cure clhamydia, thanks!
Hello, On July 14, 2011 my 80 year old Dad had two polys removed and one hour later ended up in ICU for 3 days and the hospital for one week. 5 days later he had prostrate problems and ended up leaving the hospital with a catheter. He ended up with an infection and after taking proscar and flowmax for 5 months (and using the single use catheter) he went in for an opening of the urethra. He since has had recurrent bladder infections, terrible gas and bloating.
Had a call from my midwife today to let me know the results of my urine test and they show I have a urinary tract infection (UTI). I've had no symptoms but she said I need some antibiotics. Has this happened to anyone else, should I be worried?

gave me 1 dosage of antiobiotic (methadizole however you spell it) just in case for trich infection. Since then still having discomfort (especially when sitting). I went back again Later Oct to get another swab test done for chlamydia and it came back negative. I intend to go to urologist to see if I have pancreatitis. My question is what the heck could I have? Would the antibitoics Ive had not been able to treat pancreatiitis if i do have it?
If yu think it's a urinary infection try drinking cranberry juice until you can see your doctor. That's what they told my sister to do to treat hers and it worked.
