My culture comes back positive for staph. I had never heard of a vaginal staph infection. My doctor prescribed Cipro (tests showed the staph was resistant to penicillin) and after two rounds (three days each) it has finally cleared up again (again, about a week after my cycle has ended and after two three-day rounds of the cipro). She also recommends having a herpes blood test done because she wonders how I contracted the staph and why it is recurring with my cycle.
But do you think that a staph infection could be behind all this (I have already been tested for gonococci and streptococcus; and it was negative…; but not for staph) ? The doctors I have seen told me it was unlikely because staph is commensal and symptoms don't match … I don't have found very much information about staph and sore throat (or chronic infection) in the scientific literature or elsewhere. What is your opinion about that ? Thanks.
I have been treated for a staph infection I caught from unprotected Oral Sex 7 weeks ago in Thailand. (Coag Neg Staph). It had infected my penis, testicles, bladder, ureathera and probably prostate. The doc first treated me emperically for the regular STDs. Nothing worked and it spread. Eventually I got a swab and was given Ceftraxone 1 shot 500mg the same day. 5 days later the lab reported staph and gave a sensitivity analysis.
s a godsend of a medication lol. I had a double ear infection, double sinus infection, and stage 1 phumonia(sp), and Zithromax had me cleared up and feeling better withen the same night of taking it. I was also worried to take it at first, so I called almost every pharmacy in town and asked about it, and I got the same answer, which is it's safe, and I even called my doc and double checked with him lmao.
Zithromax does cross into the placenta, but not as much as other antibiotics.

Since you are having staph infection, so if your girlfriend has been diagnosed with staph infection then chances are there that the infection got transmitted during physical contact like sexual contact or skin to skin contact. It is very surprising that the infection has not shown much results with antibiotics, In such cases, it is advisable to get the culture sample from the sores and a biopsy skin done which will confirm the diagnosis.

The combination of cefixime and azithromycin would most probably prevent infection but it would not be curative if the infection was established.
So a few weeks ago I got this big boil on my waist that was like an ingrown hair and eventually after about a week went away on its own. You could still see discoloration there but there's no bump and no more pain. However, now I have one on my butt and it's almost the same thing. I have had unprotected sex with a girlfriend and after three weeks i experienced a cloudy discharge from my penis and also a tingling sensation which I suspect as a chlamydial infection or NGU. I took 1g of zithromax and also took 5days of doxycycline 100mg. bid. After the medication my symptoms disappeared. After a few days however my testicles ached after i drank a large amount of liqour. I took another zithromax dosage and this time 1g on the first day and 500mg for another two days.

If it was contact dermatitis (soap, new clothes or washing detergent), there wouldn't be under-skin fluid, I guess.

This doesn't mean you definitely have it, but it's possible.
Oh so I looked it up and that is just a cute name for staph infection yeah people with HIV get staph bumps but so do people without HIV. I got it last year it is a pain to get rid of see a dr cause staph is dangerous. When I had staph I thought maybe I had HIV and I got tested and I did not have HIV. I learned symptoms don't mean anything !
