Zantac is the only heartburn med I am allowed to take in my trial with two experimental drugs. I had to give up my proton inhibitor because it might interfere with absorption of one of the drugs. But even with Zantac I have to be careful to take it 10 hours before and 2 hours after dosing with the study drugs. I find that the only way it will help me is if I do not take it near the time of eating. So I try to take it more than an hour after and at least a half hour before eating.

I do not experience what you describe. Do you take medicine? Had recent labs to know if dosing is correct? As for burping, GERD can be attributed to/aggravated by thyroid problems. Maybe burping is a symptom of GERD. You might talk to your doctor about a trial of Zantac or other appropriate medicine.

Zantac stopped most of it i then stopped taking 20 tums a day anfld only needed them maybe once every few days (not at all if i remembered to take my zantac first thing in the morning and at night!

I take Omneprozle, it is a generic drug that is also found in Zantac, Dr said it is safe I would call yours and get him / her to prescribe you something

I have just started takeing care of my mother in law who is in stage 4 breast cancer and her dr gave her Morphine SO4 IR 15mg one tablet every 3 hours and Morphine SO4 ER 30ENDO one tablet every 12 hours and I am confused on how to give them to her, she says I can give them to her at the same time and I am worried about it causing an overdose and I am having a hard time reaching her dr for instruction on how to give it to her, do i give her one first and then wait a few hours to give the other

I’m traveling for the next couple week and plan on seeing my doctor when I get back. Valium seems to make me feel better… Acid reducers like Zantac don’t help all that much. I would fall asleep drinking water and slept sitting up in an effort to reduce it, but nothing other than Zantac worked. I hope you get relief soon! Acid reflux is horrible.

Why Has this medication been removed from presription in the pharmacies. They are offering the generic Rannitidine instead and it is not as effective.

You can take Zantac 75 it is amazing, it last for 12 hours. My acid reflux was so bad it was waking me up during the middle of the night choking and vomiting.
