zantac use in children

Just one word on Zantac it is used in my opinion too much on young children for allergies, it has many side effects especially diarreha , I have also seen emotional problems in children taking it on a regular basis ..

So I've had acid reflux since I was about 8. I've had ulcers in my stomach and esophagus since I was 15. I've gone on bland diets for months at a time and took prilosex and zantac, nothing helped. Then I started smoking Marijuana and it's like I don't even have stomach issues. I'd get the occasional heartburn after certain foods but not horrible. I've been smoking for two years.

I’m traveling for the next couple week and plan on seeing my doctor when I get back. Valium seems to make me feel better… Acid reducers like Zantac don’t help all that much. The tightness in my throat also seems to get worse when I’m out in cold weather. I know this is an internet diagnosis…. But I’m wondering does this sound like Reflux… Anxiety…. Could this be the start of some condition like COPD… or Asthma?

Zantac is the only heartburn med I am allowed to take in my trial with two experimental drugs. I had to give up my proton inhibitor because it might interfere with absorption of one of the drugs. But even with Zantac I have to be careful to take it 10 hours before and 2 hours after dosing with the study drugs. I find that the only way it will help me is if I do not take it near the time of eating. So I try to take it more than an hour after and at least a half hour before eating.

Zantac stopped most of it i then stopped taking 20 tums a day anfld only needed them maybe once every few days (not at all if i remembered to take my zantac first thing in the morning and at night!

I take Omneprozle, it is a generic drug that is also found in Zantac, Dr said it is safe I would call yours and get him / her to prescribe you something

I have acid reflux and I recently stopped taking Zantac since there was a recall on it. I had two episodes of blood in my spit in the morning after waking up.

I ran out of the 75 mg of zantac but I have equate 150 mg its the same thing as zantac but just the.generic brand. Is it ok to take that?

My 7 yr old granddaughter has been to three Ophthalmologists in the last two weeks in which no one can find answers. She has sudden blurriness in both eyes. Can't see close up at all. With or without glasses, no vision change with any prescription. Healthy eyes, can't find anything. She is an avid little reader and can not read.

I took Zantac because I had gastritis symptoms. Now I hear that Zantac causes cancer and wished I never went to pills for relief. How long does it take for cancer to appear after you've taken Zantac? I've heard the NDMA in Zantac causes full body cancers in every organ.... This seems like a intentionally made drug to induce cancer.

Im in my 7th week and my acid reflux is aweful! Does anyone know if Zantac is safe? Tums are not working...

Sir—With the medications you have listed, there are no interactions with Zantac. In regards to indigestion, the recommended dose of Zantac is to start off with a 75 mg tablet about 30-60 minutes before eating food or drinking any beverage that cause heartburn. Zantac will help in preventing heartburn. The maximum amount to take in one day is 300 mg (4 tablets of 75 mg or 2 tablets of 150 mg). You should not use it for more the 14 days or on a regular basis unless consulting with a physician.

My doctor said the zantac 75 is safe for me (I finally asked if there was something I could use besides tums around 26 weeks). It has made a tremendous difference.

You mentioned that your husband *loves his children.* Are they your children together? Just wondering. Are you having a hard time taking care of the children the way you feel? Does he help? My husband of 24 yrs. is not the sympathetic type either. But he has other good points, so I try to think of this when I feel he doesn't care. He does care, just can't show it and he isn't a talker. Maybe your husband is like that?

You can use famotidine for a long time with no consequence, and if this is making you feel better, then stick with it. There is no danger in famotidine; I have taken Zantac 150 twice a day for years. And when I don't take it, I sure wish I had!

We use the solutabs to! I haven't heard anything about the pkts though.

For the last two years, I have had heartburn while sleeping. In the past three months, this has increased to constant heartburn and a feeling of burning in the stomach. I have a 20 year old cat on antibiotic,Zantac 75,Mylanta for constipation,Cerenia for nausea,aluminium hydroxide for Phosphate binder. I am wondering if Tripsy is safe to use and does it help kidney disease symptoms or is it a waste of money?

Give that kid some ice cream or something with carbs in it. Then see what happens some kids use a lot of energy pack that boy full of carbs.

my dr said I could use tums, maalox or if it was bad zantac once a day. it is all over the counter and not harmful to baby.
