Avatar f tn Hello! Melatonin does not help me. Zaleplon helps to sleep, but it can not be taken for a long time, since it causes dependence. Diagnosis: chronic insomnia with anxiety disorder. I take escitalopram in the morning. Can Rozerem replace Zaleplon?
Avatar n tn I have been snorting 10 mg of zaleplon at bedtime for a few months, and have recently experienced labored breaths, and a tightness in my lungs. These sensations are accompanied with shallow breathing , and I have to inhale deeply to get full, cleansing breaths. I have not been coughing or weezing. Do I need to worry about permanent damage to my lungs, or is it a temporary problem? Do I need to get medications such as an inhaler help me breath easier?

Avatar f tn I am learning so much about bipolar and I have found that I have, in fact, been having mild hallucinations my whole life. I have not talked a lot to anyone about it in my family or any of my friends. I'm afraid they will think I'm super crazy and reject me or not let me around their kids because they think I'm dangerous. I just want some insight about how to approach the subject. I really want my loved ones to understand what I'm going through.
403156 tn?1290150018 Has anyone experienced hallucinations while not being entirely depressed or manic? I have been diagnosed as BP II for almost 3 years and have never experienced hallucinations until now. I feel like I see things in my peripheral vision that are really not there. I have also occasionally heard things as well. Mood wise, I feel very stable. So this is completely alarming.
314128 tn?1226857620 I feel ridiculous asking this question - but had a scarey night. This is probably my 4th attempt at abstinence from vics. Been doing 12-15 5/500 a day for several years. This is day 4 and feeling good except for not being able to sleep to save my soul. Last night I could have sworn the clothes in the laudry basket were moving. (Socks crawling over the edge, bathrobe holding up its sleeves to dance -honest to goodness magic mushroom like hallucinations.
Avatar n tn I thought I answered this post already?? I am BP I, rapid cyling, mixed state. I only have hallucinations when I am manic, as most bp's do. I have speakers appear on the wall and play rock and roll music, kind of cool. Other than that, I see little stuff whizz by in my prefreal vision. I did overdo it playing too much World of Warcraft last year and thought I was living in the game for awhile.

Avatar n tn I have taken up to 120mg of Cymbalta and never had hallucinations and I have never heard of anyone having hallucinations caused by Cymbalta. I looked it up in a PDR and hallucinations are not mentioned, not even one case. You will probably need an antipsychotic for the hallucinations if you continue to have them even when off Cymbalta.
Avatar m tn People with anxiety do not see hallucinations... if they do it's probably b/c they are on something called ACID or LSD. lol. People who do hallucinate, usually are schizophrenic. BUT! Don't let your anxiety start taking over right now and start making your self think you are schizophrenic. lol. I've done that before. I agree with greenlydia and nursefirl6572 on this one.
Avatar m tn Recently she has been experiencing panic-type attacks and possible hallucinations. The doc says her Synthroid levels are not too high--that was her first thought--but I wonder. Has anyone else experienced hallucinations due to hormone imbalance?
1469703 tn?1372041476 I'm wondering if anyone else here has had any issues with Copaxone concerning side effects other then the injection site reactions? I've been on Copaxone for 3 months now, I am agitated, frustrated, quick to anger. I've also been experiencing paranoia and mild visual hallucinations. I'm getting sick at least every 2 weeks, and have a general feeling of "un-well" or "ill".
202665 tn?1248806733 There's a possibility that your latest hallucination was actually a night terror, and not psychosis. One of the signs of night terrors is feeling unable to move, and you can feel like you've woken up but still be hallucinating (dreaming) pretty strongly, and these are things that non-psychotic people experience sometimes. If you're interested, check out Oliver Sacks' latest book called Hallucinations.
Avatar m tn I am uncertain only the Doctor may be able to answer but I do know that some meds prescribed for anxiety, depression and PTSD can have side effects of Hallucinations, so if you are taking anything check out the dose with the prescribing Doc and ask about changing it ..

1039200 tn?1314912008 I have always assumed that I have had this experience since I was about 15 - having regular hallucinations before sleep or just after waking. The hallucinations have been varied from people talking / walking around the house to 'spiders' or writing on the wall /geomertric shapes that change and so on. However I googled it today and the examples I read all talked about sleep paralysis as an accompanying feature.
Avatar m tn I have been on about a million different antidepressants and anxiety meds over the years, and I've never had any issues with hallucinations. Last night I had some very weird experiences, including feeling like someone was pulling my hair and arms, I kept hearing laughter and crying, and it was loud enough that I kept being woken up. I have no history of hallucinations, and I'm trying to figure out if this is the new medication.
Avatar f tn High fevers can cause hallucinations. If you have the flu it could explain all of your symptoms in which case you need to go see the doctor right now.
