Avatar f tn Hello! Melatonin does not help me. Zaleplon helps to sleep, but it can not be taken for a long time, since it causes dependence. Diagnosis: chronic insomnia with anxiety disorder. I take escitalopram in the morning. Can Rozerem replace Zaleplon?
1246883 tn?1285547973 how much seroquel are you taking? try to lower the dose, seroquel is used as sleeping aid at around 25 to 100mg approximately. You can try some antidepressant to control your appetite. I definitely do not recommend ambien or lunesta, for long term treatment of insomnia. They have a very short life in your body and it which builds up tolerance quickly. The so called "z" drugs ambien and lunesta (zolpidem, zopiclone, zaleplon and eszopiclone) are for short term insomnia only.
Avatar n tn I have been snorting 10 mg of zaleplon at bedtime for a few months, and have recently experienced labored breaths, and a tightness in my lungs. These sensations are accompanied with shallow breathing , and I have to inhale deeply to get full, cleansing breaths. I have not been coughing or weezing. Do I need to worry about permanent damage to my lungs, or is it a temporary problem? Do I need to get medications such as an inhaler help me breath easier?
Avatar f tn Hello! Melatonin doesn't help me. Zaleplon helps to sleep, but it can not be taken for a long time, as it is addictive. The diagnosis of chronic insomnia with anxiety disorder. I'm taking ESCITALOPRAM. Now me helps 2 pills Belsomra on 20 mg plus 2 pills Donormila. But since Belsomra is expensive, can I replace it with Rozerem? Maybe one tablet of Rozerem will be enough for me?
382594 tn?1266610613 along with opiates, I was addicted to xanax or any other benzo(valium, librium, temezepam, clonazepam, lorazepam, triazolam etc.) and sleeping pills-ambien(zolpidem), sonata(zaleplon), and lunesta(epizopiclone) for two years as well. I would take the benzos with opaites to add to the effects or while withdrawling to ease it somewhat and i would take the sleeping pills to aid in sleeping while high and withdrawling as well.
906819 tn?1242453662 t stand the weight gain and sluggishness anymore. Soooo, I saw a sleep doc and he has me on a combo of Ambien and Librium (I asked for Librium because I used to have an issue with Xanax and I heard Librium is the safest benzo), but I gotta tell ya, this stuff does nothing for me. I am on 10 mgs of it at night, along with 10 mgs of Ambien and the Ambien works a little, but the Librium I don't think does anything for me.
Avatar m tn Hey Happy First Day of treatment and welcome to the forum. You are wise to consider sleep hygiene as restorative sleep is crucial your overall feelings of well being on these HCV meds - especially the Incivek. If you can't take Ambien then you probably won't want to try the other "z drugs" that are sedative hypnotics (The "Z" drugs: Sonata (zaleplon) & Lunesta (eszopiclone).
Avatar f tn It would be hard to tell which drug is making u feel like this, but from my experience of taking both at the same time like u are, I would say it is more the ambien. Maybe try a few nights of no ambien and see if u start feeling better? And then figure out a way to taper off the xanax.
Avatar f tn Insomnia is temporary as you taper Ambien and stabilize on your present dose. Ambien has a very short half-life, designed to leave no hangover. Nice and user friendly, but wicked when trying to stop! Ask your doctor what he/she thinks about spreading it out; half at bed the other half when you wake up in the middle of your sleep period? I'm sure they'll figure out something to make you somewhat more comfortable.
Avatar m tn Personally I have been able to work my way through a list of meds to find one that works for me; Trazodone, Rozerem, Lunesta, Ambien, and finally Ambien CR which I consider a miracle drug. Hope this helps and hope you decide to see your doc. Good Luck!
Avatar m tn I am horribly addicted to ambien. And before anyone says this, I am seeing my dr. tomorrow. But I wanted to see if anyone has had experience overcoming ambien addictions. I have been taking it almost every night for a year. I am treated for depression with wellbutrin and celexia. I think the ambien started to become a problem this summer, when I would take it on days that were particularly bad and I was anxious.
Avatar f tn I like taking the ambien vs the others with antihistamines in them b.
Avatar f tn My ob prescribed ambien and its the only thing that has given me any type of relief. When i take it i only wake up every 3 hours to pee vs every 2. 60 more days. I swear this is the longest part.
Avatar m tn If nothing works then talk to your doctor. Ambien is good choice for treatment of insomnia. Ambien is intended for short-term use. Elavil/Endep. has sedative effects and is non-addictive. Also get a sleep test done to know present status. Do take Omeprazole. Keep updating your thoughts. Take care.
Avatar f tn How do you get through an Ambien withdrawl? I was taking up to 7 a day> shaking, sweating, nausea and my mind feels drunk. R there any non-addictive meds to help the detox?
Avatar f tn Has anyone ever been given ambien during pregnancy? I just started on it last night to help me sleep. Anyone have any negative effects? Should i be worried about my babies?
Avatar f tn I'm 16+2 my dr prescribed me ambien..I'm scared to take it as I've seen what it does to my mom...anyone not have bad side effects like sleep walking, sleep driving or hillucinating?
Avatar f tn I've looked up a lot about ambien during pregnancy and I haven't found anything saying you shouldn't take it or that it'll harm the baby. Has anyone spoken to their doctor about ambien? I've had ambien prescription for years and it's really hard for me to sleep. No I'm not addicted, I used to take it only once or twice a week. It wasn't an every day thing. But it gets sooooo hard for me to sleep some nights so I'm wondering if it's safe.
491910 tn?1209366193 then 30...and so on until its 5 then jump off. I have ambien, rozerem scripts myself but stopped the ambien and made it a once a week or less thing because it can be bad news. You might want to see if the Dr will switch you to say lunesta and see if you can use that while getting off ambien or when you tapered low enough to jump and switch. Good luck.
Avatar n tn r u sure it is the ambien? it could be a mixture? all 3 drugs aggravate depression and out of the 3 ambien is categorized as the least addictive of the three drugs u r taking.....i would talk to my doctor and find another alternative for sleep....taking these every night could get u into trouble..have u tried the natural sleep aids like melatonin, valerian, etc?
