I also consume a lot of alcohol, especially beer till i feel i am drunk. Can this add up in stress and does it lowers the immune system? I also use a lot of air conditioning, does it cause being in cold and flu continuously?

Avatar f tn i am 23 weeks and really havent gained weight however i dont think it is from the yoga i think its just me that im not gaining weight. I have a great instructor and it really helps with the stress and crazness of being pregnant. And its a wonderful bonding experience with your baby. I feel so close to my son. A lot has to do with the yoga intsructor, the way she relaxes the class and she knows just the right positions for pregnant women. I highly recomend it.
Avatar n tn it may be dust or pollen, stired up by the air conditioning. if you check/clean any filters the air conditioning system may have, it could help. if you increase the frequency of dusting, there will be less dust to be circulated in the air make you ill. there is a chance that even if you have not had hayfever previously, it is possible to develop it, especially now what-ever pollen is in the air, is being well circulated.

I do my best to control my stress through exercise (yoga), good sleep habits, and meditation. You have to go with what feels right for you. Take a bath, light some candles, get a massage, whatever you need to feel less anxious.
1794671 tn?1338795391 The buttock to the leg cramping sounds like your hamstring is tightening. Mine have been doing that since the second or third month, mainly my left hamstring for some reason. It sounds like your symptoms are much more severe than mine but on your good days I would try some low impact lower body stretching. Prenatal yoga really helped me, yours hamstrings shorten in pregnancy so that's why they hurt so much.

Avatar f tn I was doing hot yoga for several weeks one or two times a week for a month and ended up with extreme pain while breathing. I thought it was my kidneys but my urine was fine. Then this year, my work doesn't have air conditioning and the room was 98 degrees on several days for two weeks. The same pain came back and the doctor now says I have pleurisy.
Avatar n tn Zone 3 is 70-80% of your target heart rate and results in increased aerobic and cardiovascular fitness. Sounds like you are training in high Zone 4 or even Zone 5. This level is for elite athletes and should only be visited for short periods by normal folk. You may want to spend more time doing light cardio. I agree with greendave, as a lot of us go full out and end up sustaining an injury or something worse. Get a good flexability program going to.

It was 176/99 is this danger zone and not ok to exercise with? I'm 22 years old male, normal weight, don't smoke or drink I eat decently healthy. Just need to now is this ok to exercise with? Not sure how high it gets with longer exercises.
Avatar f tn m now 32+3 weeks and been so stressed because his dad promised to send some money for groceries for him ( he is on their food stamps and gets 674 dollars in disability) well no money has come and we have had to spend so much money on him and skipped two major bills this month to get extra groceries and make sure he had a good birthday. Well today my hubby text me and said his check was almost 300 dollars extra for money his job has owed him since last year!!!

I just need some stress relief techniques i've tried walking, talking to friends but none of its working it just leads to me feeling depressed for some time. Mind you i've picked up on my bad habit of smoking cigarettes but not a whole cig or not that often but it makes me feel like crap so I need something else beside the just breathe technique.

Avatar n tn I've just had a SPECT stress test. The cardiologist report stated that I have apical ischemia. The size is small, the severity is mild and the reversibility is partical. I'm a 51 year old female ~ on the tread mill for 8+ miniutes, at 172 HR (100%). I'll be speaking to my cardiologist. How serious is this? It doesn't sound so bad?? The only other peice is that I've got a heavy feeling on my chest - not always and not painful.

Avatar f tn I’ve realized that when I’m in a calm state and I’m in a stress free zone people do not get reactions towards me. I don’t pay attention to people anymore. I just make sure my mind is relaxed and I’m breathing normal and my anxiety is controlled. It’s very easy to overcome. I think my issue is stress and when it activates people can feel it. Also, my patm is odorless. It’s just the itch and cough sneeze clear throat. I’m a dude with good hygiene and proper health as well.
Avatar n tn I had a normal ekg and echo. They said not to worry about it. I also had a normal stress test back then. (Without the dye.) I also developed "short runs" of SVT's. They only last a few seconds. It is like my heart stops beats very fast for 3 seconds, then goes back to normal. Sometimes, I can make it happen by laying on my right side. Anyway. I have recently had a normal ekg, also, I wore a holter rmonitor during a 13.2 outside run. The report came back normal.
Avatar f tn pregnancy yoga certainly helped me with my lower back pain. Usually just resting for thirty minutes would help with the lower back pain but when that didn't work I'd do yoga at home. And after 20-30 mins of exercise I had relief for at least a few days. Now that I'm 37wks the relief lasts about a day. I have YouTube'd it and just done it at home.
Avatar f tn During the faux spring, which is sort of a "gray-zone" between spring and summer, when it's neither cold enough for a snuggly blanket nor yet hot enough for de-humidified air conditioning to crank up, I am the most miserable... husband & I can't sleep well at night, even with the ceiling fan and a mere sheet during these seasonal lulls.
