336415 tn?1212359542 I am new to it...but I have also been doing light yoga. I am not a yoga type. But if you have a good guided practitioner in yoga, then you will walk away feeling sedated without drugs. It really takes effort to focus but if you roll with it, it helps you to settle a racing anxious mind. It is almost like a massage but on the brain. Again, I recommend a stress relief type of yoga...it may not be for you but give it at least a couple of sessions.
139792 tn?1498585650 while durfing on yoga, i came accross a website on Satkriya. I hve read Sat kriya( true identity) in many webseites. The websie mentined bedlow gives a good presentation. It will make a non-believer to do this kriy (practice) and harvest the benefits of holistic therapy. One can start the practice from the first day of reading the article. http://kundaliniyogabootcamp.com/sat-kriya/ It will be a treatment, exercise and meditation. Aff in one.
Avatar f tn Can you pls advise on this? Also have you heard of vision therapy? Is that an alternative to surgery in correcting double vision?
Avatar f tn He got him a book on yoga. So, maybe you could go to the library and find one with yoga exercises that has pictures in it, and I suppose it might help. For me, I find relief from my back pain by laying on the floor with my legs in a chair, I scoot up so my thighs are perpendicular to the ground, and let my arms fall out to the side. This takes all the pressure off the back. I personally think you should go ahead and get the surgery.
Avatar f tn also, i wanted to know if alternative therapy such as reiki or yoga or meditation and such helps? i believe it does but does anyone know of such a case where this has helped? please do let me know. wishing everyone who reads this, a healthy/happy life. best, arpana. Avatar f tn Exercise helps a lot with lower back pain. I walk a lot and also do yoga. Don't let your muscles stiffen, standing up all day doesn't help with that! You can google prenatal yoga and will find tons of web sites with poses for pregnant women.
Avatar f tn Im 34+2 is it okay for me to be doing yoga ? My babies prefectly healthy and i am to, does anyone know ?
Avatar f tn Starting yoga tomorrow. First time, ever! 24 weeks and a few days and im a little nervous! Any other mommas do or doing prenatel yogA?
Avatar f tn Is beginner yoga safe while pregnant? Or would I have to do yoga for pregnant women?
Avatar n tn I do basic yoga asana (asana means that it is less cardio more posture and stretching) since the beginning of my pregnancy. I will be 35 weeks on Tuesday and it relieve my minor pains (hips, pelvic, lower back, buttocks and thighs). It also help to have a good posture and strengthen your core muscles for birth and baby position. It is great to take that time for you to relax. Sincerely, yoga is a revelation for me.
Avatar f tn Thanks! Do you all take regular yoga or prenatal ? I already joined a gym and they have yoga classes a few days a week but not prenatal yoga.
Avatar f tn Alone with hormone therapy (if not balance) you may learn and regularly do or join class of Kundalini yoga. Free yoga class is available on line.you may do male deer exercise and kegel exercise along hormne therapy. If you do Mahabandh (All three locks togerther, energy is generated easily and your libido will be res tored. You may do male deer exercise as well. Google the above exercise. Various website are there to offer all types of help.
Avatar f tn ll refer you to an orthopedist, who will most likely request an MRI, and then most likely refer you to physical therapy. Yoga therapy isn't covered by any but the most Cadillac of plans, and you have to be careful who you choose to do it because yoga can be hard on the back if the teacher doesn't know you have a weak one, or if the neophyte doesn't know they have a weak one. Lots of options, no?
450257 tn?1268343617 I have been trying to get my mind interested in doing some light yoga. Borders has a book called Easy Does It Yoga that I am thinking of getting. Maybe if I put it under my pillow it will work by osmosis!
667016 tn?1238891904 Hi everyone, I'm a newbie to this community & hurt my back Oct '06. I lifted a heavy bucket out of the sink & experienced excruciating pain in my lower back R hand side. Later that night I temporarily lost feeling in both legs, they were like dead weights - I had to crawl to bed. Next morning I was still in agonising pain & my spine was severly bent sideways - to the point where I looked deformed & felt like I was going to topple over.
Avatar f tn I was a gymnast for 13 yrs (no injuries), diver in HS for 3 yrs, a cheerleader for one yr. I have been doing yoga for years. My wrist would hurt after yoga and just shrugged it off. I hurt my wrist in May 2021 and found out I have stage 4! I had no idea that I had this disease til then. I had a radial Shortening Osteotomy on the right hand in July 2021. I am 5 months post op. I have not started Physical Therapy yet. Now the surgeon is concerned about the lunate bone!
