Avatar f tn im tring yoga, but after a couple days i am ready to quit from the pain. does it get better or should i quit.
Avatar f tn If your doctor gives you the go ahead, you might want to try some physical therapy, chiropratic or massage therapy. If your insurance doesn't cover these or you can't afford them (they aren't cheap) then try some yoga at home. It's easy, effective and free. If you don't believe your doctor has diagnosed you correctly, perhaps getting a second opinion would finally put your mind at ease that you have a messed up back like all the rest of us and not some terrible disc disease.

336415 tn?1212359542 I am new to it...but I have also been doing light yoga. I am not a yoga type. But if you have a good guided practitioner in yoga, then you will walk away feeling sedated without drugs. It really takes effort to focus but if you roll with it, it helps you to settle a racing anxious mind. It is almost like a massage but on the brain. Again, I recommend a stress relief type of yoga...it may not be for you but give it at least a couple of sessions.

Avatar f tn He got him a book on yoga. So, maybe you could go to the library and find one with yoga exercises that has pictures in it, and I suppose it might help. For me, I find relief from my back pain by laying on the floor with my legs in a chair, I scoot up so my thighs are perpendicular to the ground, and let my arms fall out to the side. This takes all the pressure off the back. I personally think you should go ahead and get the surgery.
Avatar n tn Being stressed over every day life sure won't help that chest pain. I recommend yoga. My father-in-law has heart disease and was um lets say an angry person, well he has been doing yoga for eight years now and he has been doing very well. Sure he has some medication he takes, but to help with stress, do yoga. Maybe pick up a hobby which sounds lame, but anything thing could help.
1763313 tn?1313878457 I know that I can use Cognitive Therapy, and stuff like that, but has anybody used something else that has helped out with their anxiety. I have heard that message therapy, acupuncture, yoga, stuff like that has helped with anxiety. It would be nice to go to a councilor or psychologists, but my goodness that charge ALOT! It's hard being 20 and paying for college, plus paying 150 dollars an hour. Has anybody found something that they use besides medicine that immediatly soothes anxiety?
Avatar n tn Hi, From which part of prnis did you remove the extra skin?, you mean the foreskin covering the head? Also, do you mean to say that your erected size and ejaculation is normal?, in that case I personally feel it should not matter, since it is doing its biological function well. Your best bet will be to ask the doctor who operated whether the new behaviour is alright or not. Some times such effects could be a short term side effects of the operation and will get resolved in due course.

Avatar n tn I'm 7 weeks pregnant and just took a hot yoga class not thinking of the severity of it. After leaving I looked online and read how bad this is especially during your first trimester. Should I still be upset or is 1 class not going to hurt me? I won't be going again until the baby is born!
Avatar f tn Can you pls advise on this? Also have you heard of vision therapy? Is that an alternative to surgery in correcting double vision?
667016 tn?1238891904 Hi everyone, I'm a newbie to this community & hurt my back Oct '06. I lifted a heavy bucket out of the sink & experienced excruciating pain in my lower back R hand side. Later that night I temporarily lost feeling in both legs, they were like dead weights - I had to crawl to bed. Next morning I was still in agonising pain & my spine was severly bent sideways - to the point where I looked deformed & felt like I was going to topple over.
Avatar m tn Hi Chris, Surgery is always the last resort. Try physical therapy, back exercises, yoga and pilates. Only do these exercises when you are in less pain. Pilates is the less rigorous exercise so maybe try this first. Try and strengthen your back and spine as surgery then may hopefully not be necessary.
Avatar n tn I have recently started meditation and plan on trying cranio sacral therapy. Although I realize that these are not traditional treatments, I am at my wits end and refuse to take seizure meds, sedatives or dopamine meds. Has anyone heard of these therapies being helpful. Since I know that bfs is really overexcitability of my nervous system, I'm hoping these treatments will calm my nervous system down. My calf muscles have had it.
