yeast-infection

Avatar n tn ive read that both yeast infections and anal bleeding are symptoms of hiv.
Avatar f tn ve read more than one article that says that chronic yeast infection is at the very advanced stages of aids actually... so maybe my yeast infections could be stemming from medications right? i mean it always happens when i finish a course of antibiotic, it doesn't occur just like that or by itself.
Avatar m tn For the simple reason that you guys are not even having an open mind to consider that I am having all the classic opportunistic infections (mind you I am using the word Infections, and not symptoms) of intial stage of AIDS. And then have a look at my cd4 counts. They co-relate. I have stated that I had UN-PROTECTED frottage with this wasted prostitute.
Avatar n tn s not an indicator of HIV. Oral yeast infections occur from time to time in completely healthy people; I had it myself once. Finally, oral yeast is not a common sign of ARS; it is mostly seen in people with longstanding, advanced HIV infection. It is one of the infections that classifies an HIV infected person as having full-blown AIDS. Canker sores (medical name aphthous stomtatitis) also are not an indicator of HIV.

Avatar n tn Hi, It is possible for a man to contract a genital yeast infection if he has unprotected sexual contact with a partner who has a genital yeast infection. However, sexual transmission of yeast infections is uncommon. In men, prolonged antibiotic use, presence of diabetes or impaired immune systems increases the risk of a yeast infection. Signs and symptoms of a male yeast infection include a reddish rash, and itching or burning at the tip of the penis.
Avatar f tn Also, every women has different symptoms. I never had the fishy odor and that is one of the classic symptoms.
Avatar f tn Ok so I have been having an excessive amount of discharge lately, sometimes it's watery, and sometimes it is really really thick, sometimes it smells weird(most of the time) I have already went to the doctors and gotten tested for all major studs except HIV/aids so no blood test..
Avatar f tn Seven months ago my boyfriend and I began having sex, and about two weeks later I started my period but noticed that I was having major pain and itching internally and externally towards the end of my period. I went to the OB/GYN and I did have a yeast infection for the first time ever. I wasn't on any birth control, nor taking any antibiotics, not pregnant, and the pap came back normal with no diseases.
Avatar f tn How do they test for yeast infections? I had an appointment about a week and a half ago and told my midwife I thought I had a uti because I always had to pee but when I went , nothing came out. so she made me pee in a cup. They never called me back so I'm guessing I don't have one. But, now that symptom went away and I'm just really itchy down there! I know that's a sign of yeast infection but do you think she tested my pee for that too when I went last time ???
Avatar m tn On April 14th I had unprotected intercourse with another woman. The days passed and I did not think much of this encounter until a couple of weeks after the event a rash appeared on my penis. I went to a GP on May 14th and took a blood test. The doctor thought it was herpes. A couple of days after my blood test I developed a sore throat, then a runny nose, then a slight fever with fatigue. I diagnosed this as a cold and did not think much of it.
Avatar f tn I have been to the gyno probably 30 times in 4 years, and it ranges from BV to yeast infections to cervicitis to vaginitis. I am not on birth control and I do not douche or use scented tampons. The last time I went in, I was itching with a heavy yellow/green discharge. The doc told me if I hadn't said any of that and he did my pap, he would say it was normal. He ran tests, sent in lab tests and all results were NEGATIVE. There is no way that this is negative.
Avatar m tn Also, your symptoms could possibly be caused by borrelia valaisiana, which is known to cause the symptoms you describe.
Avatar n tn Condom protected intercourse and oral carry no risk of HIV infection. I'm not sure where your friend got the idea that two yeast infections = HIV. That's just not the case. Even if your symptoms WERE indicative of HIV infection (which they ARE NOT), you can not use symptoms to diagnose HIV infection. The only way to find out your status is by testing. The situations you describe do not warrant testing.
Avatar f tn I have constant yeast infections and lots of white discharge as well as lots of fatigue! I immediately got tested thinking maybe just an std. But all I had was yeast infection. Now I have had this cold with with a fever for about a month. My lymph nodes are still a bit swollen. I have body aches. I have been tested at maybe 6 weeks and got a negative but the health dept in my area will not see me any more due to my recurring yeast infections.
Avatar n tn t happen all the times but most times when I am dry. I am 32 years old and he is 49 I have went to the doctor and I keep getting yeast infections. I use the over the counter meds fr it and sometimes the doctor prescribes me creams but it keeps coming back. Is it coming back because I gave it to him and he brings it back to me each time? He is a diabetic and is uncircumcized but he is very clean and has good hygienes in that department.
Avatar f tn If so, This will be my 3rd yeast infection in about a month. First time it was a yeast infection and BV. Doctor believes the 2nd yeast infection came from the antibiotic for BV. I just feel like I'm getting the symptoms again and I really hope not. This can't be healthy for me or my baby. It's driving me crazy!!! Anybody else going through this? I'm 17 weeks ftm!
Avatar f tn Douching upsets the natural balance of bacteria and yeast in your vagina and will cause infections. 2. Avoid bread and sugary foods as much as possible. If there is yeast in your vagina it is in the rest of your body too and sugar will just feed it. 3. Use condoms if you have sex. You CAN give a yeast infection to a guy (they usually get no symptoms) and then he will just keep passing it back to you. 4. Eat yogurt with live cultures in it - sugar free is best, but any kind helps. 5.
Avatar n tn I am 20 years old and I too have been suffering from recurrent yeast infections, or so says my gynecologist. What symptoms were you experiencing with your yeast infections at the time? And to what body areas did you apply Synalar?
Avatar m tn Genital yeast infections in women almost always cause ithing and irritation; white material alone doesn't suggest yeast. And yeast would be an unlikely explanation of your rash. In any case, yeast infections are not sexually acquired or transmitted.
Avatar f tn Latly i been getting a lot of yeast infections i never had them before ....when my doctor gave me medicine it was a one day pill i had relief for two days then it came back so i baught a three day treatment from walgreens and its worked for a week or so and now.
Avatar m tn Male yeast infections are uncommon. Many of the men who get them have either diabetis or AIDS... I do not have either... been tested recently for both. Other people who suffer have autoimmune disorders, and I have a family history of celiac disease and chrones disease + food intolerances. Good chance that my immune system is not 100%. SINCE male yeast infections are uncommon, and I receieved a biopsy diagnosis confirmation that it was indeed yeast: 1.
Avatar f tn Than i got 2 yeast infections, so I used the Home Access test at 16 weeks and that came back negative, but I got another yeast infection andd I just took another test today at 20 weeks and am waiting for the results. Should I worry or is the test at 16 weeks conclusive even though I keep getting yeast infections?
