Avatar m tn saw my doctor the following week, took another look and no changes. told me it looks like its still yeast, and can linger sometimes and will go away in time,, said he has seen it last more than a year in some cases. this left me worried, as i couldnt understand how if it is indeed a yeast infection, it should be simple to cure. he advised to use no creams for a while and see how that goes. over the next couple months no changes.
Avatar f tn I've had one for about two weeks now. The first time I went to the doctor for it she prescribed me some cream based solely off of my symptoms. When it didn't go away after seven days I had to go back to the doctor. She did a smear and exam... even without getting the results she knew it was a yeast infection. I'm on the same treatment plan as I was the first time, so I really hope it clears up. It's stressful and I had no clue this kind of thing happens because of pregnancy.
Avatar f tn Also, every women has different symptoms. I never had the fishy odor and that is one of the classic symptoms.
Avatar f tn And although some kinds of yeast infections are more common in persons with HIV, vaginal yeast infections are not among them. On the other hand, diabetes is a common factor in persistent vaginal yeast; and certain antibiotics can also do it. But HIV does so rarely. Most important, HIV test results always overrule everything else. Your test results -- especially the combination of negative RNA at 2 weeks and antibody tests at 6 and 12 weeks -- prove you don't have HIV.
Avatar f tn Hi. I'm a 20 year female. for the past month and a half, I have been suffering with a yeast infection that won't go away. it first came about from penecillin antibiotic that I took after my wisdom teeth came out. I have been to 2 doctors that have confirmed yeast infections, and been tested for STD's to make sure and they came back negative. My first doctor prescribed me with a terazole (3 night applicator cream) and when that didn't work prescribed me 1 diflucole pill.
Avatar n tn I am 20 years old and I too have been suffering from recurrent yeast infections, or so says my gynecologist. What symptoms were you experiencing with your yeast infections at the time? And to what body areas did you apply Synalar?
Avatar f tn Your hormones are different and your immune system is weakened from pregnancy. I've had 2 thrush infections and treatment hasn't kept it away. Thrush is a oral yeast infection.
Avatar f tn Ive had a past with yeast infections were the discharge would not go away , got tested for any STI and I came out clean .. I would get treatment but somehow a month or so would pass and the discharge would just come back it's so annoying !
Avatar n tn about three or four fresh applications of peroxide at one go. Made it go away pretty fast. Then stayed very clean (partner too) and kept sugar intake down. Destress with exercise and water also sets the body right. Good luck!

Avatar n tn You need to go back to your provider and get tested for yeast and bacterial vaginal infections. milky discharge is usually due to bacterial vaginosis ( bv ) and you can' t treat that with otc medications. You have a lot going on down yonder it sounds like so you need to keep following up with your provider on all this.

Avatar f tn Valtrex has always worked quickly when I have had outbreaks in the past. The symptoms of this lesion (itchiness or soreness) come and go. What could be causing this? Could it be something other than herpes? Could the Valtrex be harmful to my baby? I go to the doctor again, soon, but want to be armed with all the inform. I can. The visits tend to be pretty quick.
Avatar m tn For one year now I've been having problems with this. Since spring two years ago, I've had coming and going problems with discharge and leaking in between bathroom breaks as well as the need to constantly go-go-go (which you can imagine how embarrassing that is when you're only 21 as I was at the time). I wore pads when it started up to control the leaking and stuff and it came and go.
Avatar m tn Hello, I had Oral sex with my husband on a Wednesday then vaginal sex. That day I was a little sore but I didn't think anything of it. By the weekend I had what felt like a yeast infection but I also had little dimples around my genital area. I went to the dr on Monday who said it looked like herpes and prescribed 400mg of acyclovir three times a day and sent a swab in for a culture. The results came in 5 days later as positive for hsv 1. The pain was awful even wroth medication.
6014380 tn?1378523315 If you are having chronic yeast infections you may want to try some things at home that may be the cause of reoccurring yeast infections. First of all, make sure you are not were clothes that cause yeast infections such as tight fitting clothing such as skinny jeans or tight fitting pants. It's important that your vagina to have adequate air flow bc tight fitting pants can cause the airflow to be low and with the riding of temp to your vaginal area is a breathing ground for yeast infections.
Avatar f tn I am diabetic and I am prone to yeast infections so I had to ask in case. They told me pro b for prevention and Monistat 1 not the 1 day but 3 or 7 and do not insert more than an inch. I hope this helps.
