m in my first trimester and pregnancy is already making me experience the wonderful world of yeast infections. I went to the doctor to make sure it is indeed a yeast infection and it is. He didn't prescribe me anything because he said it's too early and to wait until the second trimester, but I've heard of natural remedies, such as the garlic clove in the vagina that cures yeast infections. Has anyone tried this during pregnancy? Is it safe?
Latly i been getting a lot of yeast infections i never had them before ....when my doctor gave me medicine it was a one day pill i had relief for two days then it came back so i baught a three day treatment from walgreens and its worked for a week or so and now.
Well that's tricky ... Discharge is common but with a smell that's scary ....
Next appointment bring it up again to make sure he or she knows you are concerned about the odor of your discharge it could be an std ....

You should not engage in intercourse during a yeast infection though because 1 it's very painful and 2 he can get your yeast infection on his penis. Just be careful and be clean. Wash your vaginal area often even when you don't have an infection and wash before and after sex every time.

Its very common to get multiple yeast infections during pregnancy. There isn't really any way of preventing as hormones change constantly. Speak with your doctor to see about preventatives but I've learned they don't help much.
Is there anyway to prevent yeast infections? Other than staying clean down there. This is my 4th pregnancy and I get them constantly throughout my pregnancy. I'm 4 weeks along and already have developed my first one.
I just got done with both of those infections and it drove me crazy but its very common in pregnancy I never used the monistat 7 while pregnant but I don't cause pre term labor but the infection can well that's what I was told so it has to be treated as soon as possible

they will prescribe you something safe for baby. Sometimes yeast infections can mimic bv, a common bacterial infection in pregnancy.
Call your ob, like I just did lol, they'll prescribe you what's safe for you to take. I get yeast infections maybe once a trimester & they can be uggghgh! Pregnancy hormones can trigger an imbalance of your ph & yeast and cause yeast infections throughout pregnancy, not just early pregnancy. I'm 24wks. Baby #3. Soaps, detergents, tight clothes, not airing out, different clothing materials...etc.
