I would definitely talk to your Doctor or Midwife before taking anything at all. I had a yeast infection very early on in pregnancy as well and my doctor prescribed a one dose treatment called Gynazole that worked quite effectively. It was expensive even with insurance but it worked really well for me. I would definitely call your doctor however before doing anything.

Call your ob, like I just did lol, they'll prescribe you what's safe for you to take. I get yeast infections maybe once a trimester & they can be uggghgh! Pregnancy hormones can trigger an imbalance of your ph & yeast and cause yeast infections throughout pregnancy, not just early pregnancy. I'm 24wks. Baby #3. Soaps, detergents, tight clothes, not airing out, different clothing materials...etc.

Your OB/Midwife should give you a paper on what's safe to take for a yeast infection/other infections throughout your pregnancy. I had a yeast infection a couple times while pregnant, and I took the cream from the pharmacy that was prescribed. It's best, IMO, to get it properly diagnosed as it could be a different vaginal infection (unless you're positive it's yeast) and get it treated. At the very least, your doctor can advise you on what brand/type to take OTC.

I never had a yeast infection in my life until this pregnancy. Ive had at least 9 yeast infections in a matter of 9 1/2 months. Can't wait until its over I cannot take it anymore. Tell your doc at your next appointment. He'll prescribe you either cream or a 1 day pill. I wouldn't try OTC because it may not be safe for you little one.
