yaz vs patch

Hi, I just wanted to post this article about injectable contraceptives and breast cancer: http://www.sciencecodex.com/comment/reply/89256 I also wanted to ask people's opinion about newer, somewhat controversial forms of birth control like Yaz and NuvaRing. From what I've read, there seem to be a lot of serious side effects and I'm always cautious about medications that haven't had that many years of data behind it.

now my doctor wants to put me on birth control, which what ever, nothing else has worked why not try it again. But my concern is the type of birth control that it is. YAZ!!! I have done very little research about it but what I have found shows that there are more people out there that have negative things to say about it. I have heard people talk about migranes(sorry for spelling) blood clots kidney failrue, which really scares me and horrible moodswings.

I meant unclear exactly what kind of thyroid problem -- ie thyroiditis vs hot nodule vs graves vs abnormal labs of uncertain significance......vs possible pituitary issue.... would see an endocrinologist to sort this out. It is an unusual situation to have consistently normal TSH/T4 and high T3.

I'm 19 and have been taking birth control pills (a generic version of Yaz) for several years for acne. It's worked well, and I rarely get breakouts. However, I recently became sexually active and it's sometimes a pain remembering to take them at the same time daily. I've been looking into more longtemr birth control solutions.

May be but thats like 1 person out or every 100 people who get those symptoms. Yaz is ok too, but yaz has to be replaced every month and you replace it. Mirena, the gyno does it and any type of insurance covers it...

Yaz is a combination birth control pill, so if taken as prescribed it will prevent ovulation from happening in the first place. I think that you missed the two pills close enough to your period start date, that you probably aren't pregnant, and the bleeding you experienced was likely your period. However, since you had unprotected sex and did miss two pills, there is still the possibility that you could be pregnant.

I was on morphine SR 60mg twice a day for years and my doctor switched me to fentanyl 25 patch. I ended up with severe withdrawal and went back to the morphine for a week until my next appt where he put me on the 50 patch. Still I am going through withdrawals. My pharmacist says I can't be but I know 100% that's what is happening. Anyone else deal with this?

If you asking on behalf of a female contemplating the use of the contraceptive product called YAZ or already using YAZ, please tell her that YAZ has been found to be a questionable product for birth control. By questionable , this is what I mean. I have seen commercials where lawyers are telling women who have used YAZ and have suffered severe side effects from using YAZ that they are entitled to a settlement. I conclude that the product YAZ can , in some cases, cause severe side effects.

I was on yaz for a few years, and then I switched. The new pills made my period crazy, but yaz made it come the same time every month. However, yaz made my periods last longer, and I would bleed on and off for a week towards the end of using yaz.

I would stop taking Yaz definately! There is lots of bad things going on with Yaz it could be counteracting with the Prozac also..im surprised the Dr has not took you off! and went from 101 to 116 lbs. After the first two cycles of being on Yaz, I gained a cup size. I feel bloated ALL the time, and look it too, all through my cycles, and more so when I have my period. Even after lifestyle changes (more exercising, watching calorie intake) it still feels like there's a layer of puffiness and bloating covering my whole body! Anyone have any suggestions?! I stopped yaz for a month then started it again. I also had the same symptom after starting yaz again. My doctor change my birth control bill back to Ortho Tri- Cycle Lo this month.

I have been on yaz for a year and I have noticed that since then I have been suffering from anxiety, panic attacks and depression. This is not like me at all and have even gone to the point of therapy. A major side effect of the pill is depression and I know this is what is causing this. No, I did not suffer from depression or anxiety prior to taking yaz. I started Yaz on a Thursday and by Sunday I was super excited to see my boyfriend and then that night and the following day its like someone flipped a switch on me..I just felt weird all the time..even with him.
