yaz vs ortho cyclen

I went from ortho tri cyclen lo, to ortho cyclen, to ortho tri cyclen. All of which have made me have anxiety. I was on the depo shot for years and beside minor bone loss i had no issues. Is there anyone who has had this problem and actually found an answer?? I am sexually active and not ready for a child at all.

I've been on Ortho-cyclen, Ortho-tri-cyclen, Ortho-tri-cyclen Lo, Nuvaring. The types I have not tried was progesterone only, shots, IUD, and implants. Nuvaring was my latest and that was the worst experience I have ever had. Every single type I have used, I have had the same symptoms: nausea, headaches, dizziness, irregular cycles, spotting, weight gain, and mood swings. Since May of this year, I have been doing it naturally, but I am still trying to figure out when I ovulate...

I've been on ortho try-cyclen(LO) going on the 2nd mth. Before that I was on Yaz for 2 mths. I have a bleeding a very painful sore on my vagina. I am 18 and am not sexually active. My doctors nurse said birth control pills throw your body off for the first 3 mths and not to worry, but I still am.

Second-- Yaz. Started taking it right after ortho-novum, worked great for first few months. Everything felt fine, until I began developing daily headaches and later had such depressing mood swings, I didn't know who I was. I was described as "a new person." Made things I love in life very miserable, and stopped taking it altogether at the end of March.

I've never been on Yaz, but was on Ortho Cyclen for 5 years and eventually had to have my gallbladder out because it was full of stones. My twin sister is just now having symptoms of gallbladder disease, but she hasn't been on the pill as long as I was. I'm still on it and wondering if it could cause other problems even after the gallbladder is gone.

I switched to Estrostep 1/20 for 6 months and it got even worse. Then I switched to Ortho Cyclen in hope that the higher estrogen dosage would help. It has and my face is almost clear after 3 months. However, it has made me gain weight and be bloated all the time. This is not okay, so I definitely need to switch again because I cannot afford to buy all new clothes in the next size up. What should I ask my dermatologist for next? Yaz and Desogen have also not worked out for me in the past.

hello everyone my cousin recomended me ortho tri cyclen as birth control mostly because it worked so goog for her... Before that I was using mirena ... And i had it removed due to very bad side effects... So I asked for ortho but they gave me trinessa a generic form of ortho ... Now from all the research I've been doing and the side effects I've had so far with it makes me belive that I should be using the name brand...

I was debating between Ortho Cyclen, Ortho Tri Cyclen or Othro Tri Cyclen Lo.. I am currently on Ortho Cyclen but I was thinking why am I pumping all this hormones into my body each month. Me and my partner also use condoms as backup. I am even willing to try other brands if 1 is better? I guess I just dont under the difference between them all and the effect on your body good/bad. Well because of my insurance I had to switch to Ortho Tri Cyclen this month so i decided to skip the brown placebo pills so i could "skip" my period, but on exactly Day 1 of Ortho Tri Cyclen it made me start my period Full on! I am on Day 3 and still have my period...... ugh!!!

And the sex drive is back=) So, i would say if you need to be on BC, try to switch to a different one. Ortho Tri Cyclen was great for me. Hope this helps.

I started taking ortho tri-cyclen birth control pills since august 4, 2013 to help regulate my periods. I started my cycle/bleeding august 14 to 24 which was very odd to me b/c my cycles r 5-6 days long but this time it wasn't and my period came august 14, 2013 but it would usually come At the end of the month or sometimes the beginning or not at all. I went to the gyno yesterday and was given Ortho Tri Cyclen Lo to help regulate my periods. I have not had a period since March 2008. My doc told me to begin my first month of pills on the Sunday following the beginning of my next period. Problem is, i don't have any idea when that could be. Ok...so i began taking the ortho tri-cyclen lo last friday as the quick start option. I am normally supposed to be on my period right now. BUT it has not started yet and i'm beginning to worry. Does taking the pills as the quick start prevent my period from normally happening? Or is it supposed to just start when i get to the "inactive" pills in the pack? I stopped taking my Ortho Tri Cyclen Lo on the 20th of this month, but before I even stopped taking it (the 19th) I was having some light spotting, it continued for 3 days, just light brown/pink spotting, I noticed it was EW like, just brownish, does that mean I ovulated this month, or is that just a side effect of stopping my BC, having EWCM??? I was taking Ortho Cyclen for 2 months and my doctor changed my pills to Ortho Novum. I bled a little when i started the new prescription, about 3 days before the inactive pills, I bled very very little (like 2 days but not enough to even use a tampon). I am 5 days into my new pill pack. I take my pills before bed and i did forget twice last month but took them as soon as i woke up.(between my 2 and 3rd week) I have been feeling moody lately and pretty crampy.
