yaz vs levlen

I have been on the birth control pill levlen since january this year, i missed one day and the night after me and my boyfriend had had unprotected sex, i know that there is always a danger of falling pregnant from having unprotected sex, but i was wondering if the danger had increased due to my missed pill?

I had switched to a birth control called the nuvaring which i dont recommend by the way, and all of the sudden i start feeling nauseaous after eating, so i finally get back on Yaz, I still feel nauseaous after eating and now i have a discharge that looks like a yeast infection but i have no other symptoms of a yeast infection. I am really confused. Please help!!

Started on birth control pills 5 months ago simply to try and regulate my periods and lessen the severity of bleeding. First I was on Levlen which worked fine for about 3 months, even managed to skip a period successfully. Then started to get breakthrough bleeding half way through cycle which was continuous for 3 weeks but some days worse than others. Went back to GP who changed me to Brevicon which is a stronger pill.

I meant unclear exactly what kind of thyroid problem -- ie thyroiditis vs hot nodule vs graves vs abnormal labs of uncertain significance......vs possible pituitary issue.... would see an endocrinologist to sort this out. It is an unusual situation to have consistently normal TSH/T4 and high T3.

I'm 19 and have been taking birth control pills (a generic version of Yaz) for several years for acne. It's worked well, and I rarely get breakouts. So i was on Yaz for 5 months, and i just found it to be so expensive (unemployed uni student). I had just finished my last yaz packet on the 23rd of Dec. On the 24th of Dec, i went to the doctor and she suggested i change to levlen ed (since it is way cheaper), she prescribed me and told me to take the first levlen pill at my usual time on that day (which is always at 4:30 - SHARP). Anyway, she clearly told me not to have sex for one week...

Third time was the charm but I was left with nerve damage at this point and for those with nerve pain - think shingles or diabetic neuropathy in your lower left pelvis vs. your extremities! I take Lyrica, which helps some. Ultram ER, which does nothing and Vicodin as needed - but feel like a drug addict when getting refills at Dr. Pain Mgmt. Dr. tried a stim implant and it didn't help - due to the location - he said it was the hardest to treat - imagine my joy! Not!

You may need a higher estrogen dosed b/c like nortrel. I bled constantly on Ortho Tri Cyclin, Levlen, and Yaz only finally settling on Nortrel. My GYN did an ultra sound and found that me suppressing my period was actually thinning the lining of my uterus so much I was somewhat hemmorhaging. A couple weeks of estrogen and a switch to a higher estrogen dose pill did the trick for me. May be something you want to look in to.

I was on levlen ed for 3 months but then stopped that because I wanted a non-generic brand. Then I had bleeding 3 days after that lasted for 3/4 days after I stopped which I know is normal, however I didn't get my period for two months after. now I have my period and I started the pill brevinor but I have had 2 periods now and they are brown in colour and not red. anyone know if this is normal because I didn't have my period for two months, maybe its just the old blood from that??

October 15 - Started YAZ, also my first day of period (4 days light period only) November 10 - Period came November 11 - Last day of YAZ (first pack) November 12 - First pill of second pack of YAZ very heavy bleeding November 13 VERY HEAVY BLEEDING November 14, 15, 16, 17, 18 Regular bleeding Nov19- 27 light bleeding Nov 28 bleeding gone I went to my OB November 24 and advised me to take my remaining YAZ 3x a day.

If you asking on behalf of a female contemplating the use of the contraceptive product called YAZ or already using YAZ, please tell her that YAZ has been found to be a questionable product for birth control. By questionable , this is what I mean. I have seen commercials where lawyers are telling women who have used YAZ and have suffered severe side effects from using YAZ that they are entitled to a settlement. I conclude that the product YAZ can , in some cases, cause severe side effects.

I'm currently using Levlen ED for having a lighter period and less cramps. It hasn't been working like the doctors said it would and I still get very heavy periods and been getting very bad cramps, and only in the last two months have I been getting very, very light periods, I don't even need to wear a tampon or a pad, just a panty liner is enough. I am sexually active and I'm just worried that I am pregnant as I have missed a pill or two in the past.

I would stop taking Yaz definately! There is lots of bad things going on with Yaz it could be counteracting with the Prozac also..im surprised the Dr has not took you off! and went from 101 to 116 lbs. After the first two cycles of being on Yaz, I gained a cup size. I feel bloated ALL the time, and look it too, all through my cycles, and more so when I have my period. Even after lifestyle changes (more exercising, watching calorie intake) it still feels like there's a layer of puffiness and bloating covering my whole body! Anyone have any suggestions?! I stopped yaz for a month then started it again. I also had the same symptom after starting yaz again. My doctor change my birth control bill back to Ortho Tri- Cycle Lo this month.

I have been on yaz for a year and I have noticed that since then I have been suffering from anxiety, panic attacks and depression. This is not like me at all and have even gone to the point of therapy. A major side effect of the pill is depression and I know this is what is causing this. Last week I had switched to the brand Loett to see if it makes a difference. I know this could take a few months to notice change but now I'm considering coming off it all together.

No, I did not suffer from depression or anxiety prior to taking yaz. I started Yaz on a Thursday and by Sunday I was super excited to see my boyfriend and then that night and the following day its like someone flipped a switch on me..I just felt weird all the time..even with him. Do you know why that is? I started taking Cypralex a month into taking Yaz. I did go off Yaz within 9 days because i thought something was weird...

A couple of weeks ago I decided to go off the pill (Yaz) because I was wondering if it was making me feel sick (I've been taking the pill for over a year now).
