Avatar m tn My doctor also had put me on Gianvi as a birth control and it worked awesome everything was finally regular until my drugstore had changed my birthcontrol to larnya which is another version of Gianvi but halfway through the month I started to bleed I thought it was breakthrough bleeding so my doctor put me on Beyaz and told me to take 2 a day until the bleeding stopped and then the next month they will put me back on Gianvi or on Yaz (which is technically still the same thing)She also said I c
Avatar f tn 5 months and was recently switched over from yaz to gianvi which is the generic brand of yaz. I had no choice. I had my period around the end of the month and into the beginning of this month like normal. I started spotting around 2 weeks before my next period and its lasted about a week now. Its a brown discharge like color sometimes with little red blood and very small clots. I have tiny cramps sometimes. Is this normal? Why is this happening?
Avatar f tn My nurse changed me to Yaz in July. As I write this I about to switch back to Yasmine and the pharmarcy has lost my presciption..so I am cying! On Yaz these were the side effects 1: Extensive, long as 3 weeks periods for the first few months '(to limit this I made sure I took it bet 8 and 9 am every morning 2: Heavy heavy bleeding with clots.
Avatar f tn ve never taken my gianvi (generic form of yaz) on time. I had sex every Sunday since the beginning of the month including just this past Sunday and then I misplaced my bc pack so I hvent been taking birth control at all since Sunday. Your and my chances of conceiving pretty much all depend on when we ovulate. I also start ny new pack every 4th Tuesday. So I either just ovulated or still am which means my chances are probably higher. Most people ovulate 14 days after their period.
Avatar f tn Hello, last month instead of my period I experienced brownish spotting--it started a day before my period usually begins (though it has started a day early before), and only lasted 2-3 days at most. It only appeared when I wiped. It seemed odd but I assumed it was just a light period (no pain or anything unusual like that). This month, my period is late--only by 2 days, but in light of the weird period from last month I took more notice.
Avatar f tn Im scared because the doctos discharged me and told me to go see my gyne for a biopsy. I called to make an appointment this morning and shes retired! Please help me!!!
Avatar f tn I stopped the Depo shot 2 months ago, and immediately started Yaz, I got my period back at the end of my first pack of Yaz so about 1 1/2 months. How long does it take for Depo to completely leave your system, and if it's still in my system will it actually help protect me from pregnancy along with Yaz?
Avatar f tn I am uninsured and went to my doctor to get my IUD removed about a year and a half ago, as I thought the IUD was causing all of the problems I still have due to endometriosis. I thought the doctor was just hellbent on pushing IUD's when he said he was going to remove it but I had all the signs of endo, not complications from that. He put me on Yaz and I was regular for about 2 months. Since then, my symptoms have returned only worse.
484167 tn?1210001396 i couldn't stand these side effects so i went ahead and switched back to yaz...i can't stand feeling preganant all the time which is exactly the way the yasmin made me feel...there are too many different brands of the pill to have one of them make you feel like ****. there are a lot of options...

Avatar m tn i had the same problems with Yaz. I was on yasmin and when asking for more from my doctor she accidenty wrote yas...not yasmine so i tried it for a few months. it was horrible. I become very depressed and moody, gained weight, had bad acne, and become very paranoid. I switched to levora which i've been on ever since ( 3yrs). My symptoms all went away once i stopped taking Yaz. I'm not sure if it would take 4 months of your hormones to regulate...

Avatar f tn I have been taking Yaz for about 4 months now. I am almost ready to go to the doctor for my depression and anxiety. Then, I started researching my pill (Yaz) and have found that these symptoms are likely related to this pill. I want to stop taking it and my husband is in support of that. However, I have read about terrible side effects from people that stopped, too. Anyone have experiences to share?
405998 tn?1222396217 I don't know about using Yaz to shrink cysts, but I was on Yaz for years until I eventually had breakthrough bleeding and had to stop. Yaz was the only birth control pills that didn't make me feel crazy from mood swings or depression. I see those lawyer ads on TV also, but I really liked Yaz.
1310992 tn?1274217387 I hope we dont scare you more but you really need to do research on Yaz and give it to your parents and Dr! Good luck sweety and keep us updated please!
178590 tn?1294176767 The answer is yes! Yaz can cause depression to worsen. I also suffer from major depression but find that I only felt bad the week before my period. I was happy to find a birth control pill that would help with depression during my period. However, I notice after talking yaz that I felt more depressed and had more anxiety then before. I had extreme mood swings and crying spells while taking yaz. I stopped yaz for a month then started it again. I also had the same symptom after starting yaz again.
Avatar f tn s experiences with yaz, I am starting to think my feelings are linked to this pill. I want to stop taking it and my husband is in support of that. Has anyone experienced similar feelings while taking Yaz? If so, how soon did you return to normal after stopping the pill?
Avatar m tn ve heard from more than one source that the bc pill Yaz also sold as Yasmin, same stuff, is dangerous. If Yaz is causing you to be depressed, with panic attacks and anxiety, I would suggest getting of Yaz altogether, with the help of your family doctor. Wouldn't even finish the end of the package of Yaz. I've heard it can cause blood clots. Seeing as you had unprotected sex with your boyfriend, this would be a good time for a doctor's visit. Good luck.
Avatar f tn Hi, YAZ birth control pill causes cholelithiasis. According to studies done, YAZ birth control pill increases the risk of gallbladder disease only marginally. But if you are symptomatic, like if you have pain in the upper right quadrant or if you develop nausea or jaundice, discuss your symptoms with your consulting doctor he may change the dose or the medications. Regards.
