911052 tn?1242791283 Is there a possibility that I could be pregnant? Or is it the pills and the fact my body is getting used to the pills and getting used to the IUD not being there anymore?
Avatar f tn Hi, If you have a good relationship with your doctor then I think you are doing the right thing. The only way to go about this and to be sure you get help is to be honest. Tell him that you have begun abusing the medication and you have become addicted. Ask him to set you up on a taper plan. That being said, know that tapering is tricky business and not always successful.
Avatar f tn m looking everything up and the bad side effects for coming off the pill. The reason I went on YAZ about ten months ago was to first (vainly), clear up my pimple problem which I never had before until I started to get my periods twice a month (which was the second reason I went on).
869854 tn?1239978206 Last week i was also prescribed yazmin but i had wanted yaz but my doctor told me it is the same thing. And I would get the same effects of it. I have had many of friend try this pill and have gotten great results. So i hope this question help and good luck!!!
Avatar f tn t seasonique a pille that you only get your period 1 time in 3 months? if this is so it may take your boday awhile to get used to the Yaz. Try to relax and things should regulate in a month or so.
Avatar m tn This is not like me at all and have even gone to the point of therapy. A major side effect of the pill is depression and I know this is what is causing this. Last week I had switched to the brand Loett to see if it makes a difference. I know this could take a few months to notice change but now I'm considering coming off it all together. My question is should I just stop taking it now or wait until the end of the packet for me to have my period first.
Avatar m tn I appreciate all the information that you guys have given me. Seems like the biopsy is the way to go. Is there any way for me to tell how knowledgeable a doctor is about this disease? I'm not easily forthcoming with trust when it comes to doctors ordering costly test that they perform themselves.
Avatar f tn I took Ortho-tricyclyn for 7 years and decided to switch to yaz only because Ortho-tricyclyn made me moody and crazy only 1 week out of the month(big mistake on switching). Well I took Yaz for 2 years and stopped taking it in July of 2009. Suddenly all of the these symptoms happen to me anxiety, rapid heart beat, numbness and tingling after stopping yaz. I became numb, shaky, and pale at work shortly after that and they had to call 911. They told me I was having an anxiety attack.
Avatar n tn i am on the birth control pill yaz. my last period was 2 days ago and lasted only 1/2 of a day when it is usually three or four. i have also woken up sick for 3 days now. is there any way if i were pregnant i would know by now?
Avatar f tn Is surgery the only way of being sure an ovarian cyst is not cancerouse. Can a blood test prove if there is cancer in a cyst on the ovary. Mum died with ovarian cancer years ago. when she was operated on they said it was cancer in the centre but that they had got it all. She died 5 years later. I have a ovarian cyst. I have had 3 C Sections dont really want surgery unless have to.
Avatar f tn I started taking Yaz two weeks ago I've had a good experience. the first week I had every symptom under the sun nausea, diaharreah headaches, but second week I 'm so happy my face has cleared up tremendously. I suffer from horrible hormonal acne since I was a teenager and I'm 25 now. I started noticing change within end of first week. Before I was on orthotrycycline and I was depressed irratable broke out horribly had a dark stain on my upper lip just horrible.
Avatar f tn I've been on birth control (Yaz) since late September, so my period follows a strict schedule, showing up every fourth Monday. Often times I've missed pills, but it's never resulted in an early or late period; it dutifully shows up on the day it's supposed to. Except for my last period. My period was due July 26th. I missed pills on the 17th and 18th, the same days I had unprotected sex with my boyfriend.
Avatar f tn it almost sounds like the anxiety is sticking around, possibly due to a fear reaction of how the intital Yaz-related anxiety made you feel. That can happen...there can be a medical or medication related anxiety that ends up morphing into chronic reactive anxiety. Have you ever had trouble with anxiety or depression BEFORE taking the Yaz? If so, what kinds of treatments, if any...did you try?
Avatar m tn If you asking on behalf of a female contemplating the use of the contraceptive product called YAZ or already using YAZ, please tell her that YAZ has been found to be a questionable product for birth control. By questionable , this is what I mean. I have seen commercials where lawyers are telling women who have used YAZ and have suffered severe side effects from using YAZ that they are entitled to a settlement. I conclude that the product YAZ can , in some cases, cause severe side effects.
Avatar f tn I see that the one hormone is the same but the other ethinylestradiol in YAz is 0.02 and in Yasmin is 0.03. What does this mean and is it safe to give her?
Avatar f tn I was on yaz for a few years, and then I switched. The new pills made my period crazy, but yaz made it come the same time every month. However, yaz made my periods last longer, and I would bleed on and off for a week towards the end of using yaz.
Avatar f tn One sure way to tell if it is the Yaz is stop taking it and see if the pains go away. I have been on BCPS for years. I am 44 and take Yasmine and do not have any trouble with the pill. Have you had your Potassium and Calcium and Vit. D levels checked? Yaz and Yasmine are not solely estrogen based and may cause elevated Potassium levels. I had low Vit. D levels and had muscle cramping and tingling from the low level. Hope you are feeling better soon.
Avatar f tn Hi- I never saw a previous post of yours, cause i just found this forum today- but, I have a pack of Yaz waiting for me in my bathroom closet, and I wanted to get on here and ask how people like it... I just had a baby 8 wks ago and am waiting for the first period to come along before starting it. however, I may have to just break down and take it because the first period is taking it's sweet time showing up. So, how do you like Yaz? Did you have any bad side effects?
Avatar n tn m new to the community, see you posted last month. I was on Yasmin, I think its related to Yaz but not the same for about two years. I had some really odd symptoms with Yasmin and begged my dr to take me off of it, since then I was on Apri, which is just generic desogen.
Avatar f tn t want to have BCP anymore with my last experience.
Avatar n tn has any1 been on the yazmin pill and had a noticable change in there cup size? its the only reason i want to go on yaz really. iv had the implant in my arm for coming up to nearly 3 years now and dont want another put it in. i would rather go on yazmin but from reading all the reviews on yaz im now rethinkin my decision but to be totaly honest i just want my breasts to grow from a 32A!!
Avatar f tn Hi Everyone, I have never written in one of these forums but after what i've gone through I feel the need to share my story and get some advice. I am 26 and have been taking birth control for roughly 10 years with no breaks. I started taking Yaz roughly a year ago because my previous pill was giving me bad headaches. Now that I look back my first sign of anxiety and panic attacks happened shortly after i started taking yaz.
