Yaz hormone levels

Common Questions and Answers about Yaz hormone levels

yaz

Avatar f tn m being treated by an endocrinologist. I had a hormone panel done and my cortisol levels do not decrease drastically during the day nor are my androgens as out of whack as he had originally had claimed. With that said, he said Yaz may in fact be an adequate treatment without the nasty steroid side effects. I did some research and Yaz and Yasmin have been prescribed to treat LOCAH with success. Problem is it will take about 6 months versus 3 days on steroids to start seeing results.
Avatar f tn I have found a lot of information linking gallbladder disease with the BC pill Yaz. I myself have been going through some major health issues since about 2 months after I started taking the pill. Although the pill has cleared my acne and evened out my hormone levels, I've been to several doctors because of a pain in my right side. I've also had my appendix removed because of a misdiagnosis. Now my doctors are convinced that I have to have my gallbladder removed.
Avatar f tn A blood test will check your hormone levels and if very low u can have low dose of hrt to correct most things. I tried it but sent me loopy ha so still trialing herbal stuff.
Avatar f tn The only meds she was taking at the last blood test was Prevacid for nausea. Before that she was taking Yaz for irregular periods, but since being off the Yaz, the T4 has not really gone down. Her other symptoms are: constipation, weight loss, extreme fatigue, nausea, fluttering in chest/throat and most recently pressure in her head (squeezing feeling on top and sides). Does this sound like anything anyone has heard/experienced.
Avatar f tn I got off PMS last summer when I turned 50 because I wanted to get an accurate reading of my hormone levels which are normal. It seems like once I got of Yaz I started having these problems--complex cyst, pain, etc. I've heard some horror stories about Yaz--women having strokes but my doctor assured me it was safe to take. If this doesn't work then the doctor is recommending a laparoscopy and perhaps removing the endo and maybe ovary---depends on what they see.
Avatar n tn Is this an extreme change in hormone levels or something else? it has been going on for a year, which started when i was 29 years old. thank you.
Avatar f tn Probably because your hormone levels have evened up and you may not have enough of the one that makes you 'wet'. It's probably the level of oestrogens. Either use a lubricant during sex or change your pill again.
Avatar f tn I had endometriosis on my ovary three years ago and took birth control for it. I am off birth control now because I'm told it will affect my hormone levels as I am trying to adjust my correct Synthroid dosage. I don't believe the ingredients are harmful if mixed with Levo. Some people don't do well on Levo and they switch to Synthroid, which is yet another synthetic thyroid drug.
Avatar f tn Yes! Because birth control messes with your hormone levels, woman get moody when there pregnant because of hormone changes, I experiencd this with my sisters! So since birth control causes hormone changes as well as pregancy, id imagine the results can be alike! So maybe it is from stopping your birth control? If you read about it doing that online, it is very well possible! You should talk to a doctor about it, just to be on the safe side!
Avatar f tn m afraid there is no nuva ring yet, I ever tried IUD, BC pills, and hormone injection, I would like to change to hormone injection, but I don't know it could affect my uterus recovery or not?
Avatar f tn t fit into any clothes, I hate my body and I have no idea what else to do. I had my hormone levels tested and my testosterone is a little high (45pg/ml). My estrogen levels aren't, could have been due to the fact that my periods are irregular and I also now have heavy periods, therefore I wasn't put on estrogen/progesterone. I'm also bloated, constipated all the time so I take buffered c and probiotics to help.
Avatar f tn I have dedicated a website for women who are currently or previously taken Yaz Birth Control. This is a support group for women to see the pro's and con's of taking this prescription. Please take a moment to view YazForum ******* and post a comment of your experience while taking Yaz. Thank you.
Avatar f tn Also, I have missed pills before but this time the switch in hormone levels has me concerned. Has anyone had any experience with this? Or does this cramping sound like pregnancy?
727136 tn?1231182664 I do agree with Cherie that you need to have your hormone levels checked. Sometimes estrogen out of balance with the testosterone can cause cystic acne. Maybe an increase in estrogen preferably estradiol. I am so sorry you have had such a hard time. I hope things get better soon.
Avatar f tn I hope this stops soon, perhaps my hormone levels are stil off...no idea, planning to see my doc for answers. The truth is any pill will more or less affect your body and its hormone level, so be prepared to side effects. The best is probably to never be on a pill and keep your body's natural cycles. Oh well... Good luck to everyone!
Avatar f tn t know about the breastfeeding part....but when I was on the pill...Yaz gave me beautiful even clear skin..... Maybe you could ask your doctor about those.
4974520 tn?1366757591 What were your hormone levels ? @5weeks mine were 10,400 and @ 7weeks mine were 80,000+ im now 14weeks and have no idea what they are now.... what is a normal range ?
1936698 tn?1333915193 I'm confused. My doctor has never told me anything about hormone levels and looking out for them or anything. My friend just had a miscarriage last night at 11 weeks, and I feel terrible for her and I just want to cry because she was so excited. Her hormone level went from 73000 to 1200. How do you tell if your hormones dropped and what is so important about them during pregnancy? I'm 31 weeks along and I am so confused about all of it.
Avatar f tn Hormone levels as in HCG? I'd say no, that's not possible, there is a specific type of blood test (I believe) that you can get done to tell gender, but I don't think insurance covers it, so you'd have had to pay it out of pocket, did you have any issues that would require a specific blood test, or did you request one?
