If you say you understand the risks, then I would think you would realize that your health is worth five mintues a year of discomfort. If your health and not becoming pregnant is important to you, then go get an exam done. It really is not that bad.

I would definatly consult your family physician or your OBGYN about a suitable birth control for you. I took Yaz a few months ago for a short period of time(just a week and a half) and it messed with my emotions and feeling like crazy. I strongly suggest you don't use Yaz. I still don't feel like myself even though I am off the pill. If you like being happy, don't use Yaz, please, its not worth it. I have not heard many good things about Yaz since I have taken it.

I used to take YAZ. It helped with menstrual cramps and made my breasts a cup size bigger! But I stopped taking it because it causes severe blood clots and now my breasts have gotten a lot smaller. Can anyone recommend a great birth control where you've experienced an increase in breast size?

I have found a lot of information linking gallbladder disease with the BC pill Yaz. I myself have been going through some major health issues since about 2 months after I started taking the pill. Although the pill has cleared my acne and evened out my hormone levels, I've been to several doctors because of a pain in my right side. I've also had my appendix removed because of a misdiagnosis. Now my doctors are convinced that I have to have my gallbladder removed.

I am on Yaz and have been on it for almost 2 months before I started taking Yaz I was on the Depo shot. On my second pack of Yaz I missed two pills one on Monday and one on Wednesday I took them right when I remembered to but I'm afraid maybe I could get pregnant ..what are the chances??

So im 21y/o no health problems what so ever. I have been on yaz for a yr and i love it. i havnt had any problems with it at all and lucky to have no side effects. I have a vacation coming up soon and unfortunately i am scheduled to start my period at that time. If you still have that cyst after a year of Yaz, the Yaz is not working for you. Please get a gyn checkup.

Hi, Im sixteen years old. Im perscribed to Prozac and YAZ. Ive been on Prozac for more than a year and YAZ since the summer of '09. Every since I started the YAZ back pains grew horrible. I started taking the YAZ because my OBGYN thinks I have indometriosis. For the past two months I have to be wearing a pad because I cant stop bleeding. I feel like Im sixty years old. My bones are week. I cant breath. My feet randomly go numb. When Im on the pink pill durng the month.

I completely agree w/ this. I have never taken YAZ and never will, but just the fact that you aren't getting your period regularly is definitely a HUGE problem. You have to let your body do its natural thing or else there WILL be infection, weight increase or some problems that could be way worse. Its common sense. Idky they would even come up w/ such a medication!

Hi cassiee014, First and foremost got off Yaz. The birth control Yaz is dangerous. There are actually some women who have lawsuits against the manufacturers of Yaz. Getting off Yaz may solve your depression. Actually I just read you have a mild history of depression. You also said you haven't taken any medication for your depression. Okay. I would make an appointment with your family doctor . Is your doctor aware of your mild history of depression?

October 15 - Started YAZ, also my first day of period (4 days light period only) November 10 - Period came November 11 - Last day of YAZ (first pack) November 12 - First pill of second pack of YAZ very heavy bleeding November 13 VERY HEAVY BLEEDING November 14, 15, 16, 17, 18 Regular bleeding Nov19- 27 light bleeding Nov 28 bleeding gone I went to my OB November 24 and advised me to take my remaining YAZ 3x a day.

If you asking on behalf of a female contemplating the use of the contraceptive product called YAZ or already using YAZ, please tell her that YAZ has been found to be a questionable product for birth control. By questionable , this is what I mean. I have seen commercials where lawyers are telling women who have used YAZ and have suffered severe side effects from using YAZ that they are entitled to a settlement. I conclude that the product YAZ can , in some cases, cause severe side effects.

I was on yaz for a few years, and then I switched. The new pills made my period crazy, but yaz made it come the same time every month. However, yaz made my periods last longer, and I would bleed on and off for a week towards the end of using yaz.

I would stop taking Yaz definately! There is lots of bad things going on with Yaz it could be counteracting with the Prozac also..im surprised the Dr has not took you off! and went from 101 to 116 lbs. After the first two cycles of being on Yaz, I gained a cup size. I feel bloated ALL the time, and look it too, all through my cycles, and more so when I have my period. Even after lifestyle changes (more exercising, watching calorie intake) it still feels like there's a layer of puffiness and bloating covering my whole body! Anyone have any suggestions?! The only meds she was taking at the last blood test was Prevacid for nausea. Before that she was taking Yaz for irregular periods, but since being off the Yaz, the T4 has not really gone down. Her other symptoms are: constipation, weight loss, extreme fatigue, nausea, fluttering in chest/throat and most recently pressure in her head (squeezing feeling on top and sides). Does this sound like anything anyone has heard/experienced.

I stopped yaz for a month then started it again. I also had the same symptom after starting yaz again. My doctor change my birth control bill back to Ortho Tri- Cycle Lo this month.
