yaz

Avatar n tn I was prescribed Lexapro for mood and maxalt for headache by PCP ( have been on numerous triptans for the last ten years for good control) When my perimenopausal symptoms began to increase hot flashes, sleep difficulties and mood, I was placed on Yaz. It has overall been great. Controlled by anxiety except for right before menses.
1232362 tn?1333135406 t know when is typical to expect menopause for my family. I thought I was losing my mind till I looked up symptoms and found those and some others I've been experiencing (weepies, forgetfulness) were on the list. I'm supposed to get married next month! I'm on yaz oral contraceptives. Am I going to stay like this from now on? What can I do? I feel like I'm having a nervous breakdown but glad there seems to be an explanation.
Avatar f tn I was just wondering a) if anybody else has felt sick on Yaz; b) if going off it helped; and c) how long it took for the pill to get out of your system? Thanks for any help. (I'm 18).
Avatar f tn When I was perimenopausal I had very low progesterone levels with abnormal and frequent bleeding. After being checked for everything else under the sun and having that aspect ignored, I ordered a saliva test done to determine this to be sure and used an over the counter natural progesterone cream (as opposed to synthetic progestin) after trying several, I found Pro-Gest by Emerita to be the most effective. My sister in law used the same one.
Avatar n tn m new to the community, see you posted last month. I was on Yasmin, I think its related to Yaz but not the same for about two years. I had some really odd symptoms with Yasmin and begged my dr to take me off of it, since then I was on Apri, which is just generic desogen.
Avatar n tn What I was wondering is whether or not YAZ can cause pregnancy symptoms after stopping them two months ago? I have been pregnant before and I really feel like I am pregnant. It may be too early to tell if I am pregnant, but I am so concerned with the lawsuit against YAZ. Can anybody help me?
405998 tn?1222396217 I don't know about using Yaz to shrink cysts, but I was on Yaz for years until I eventually had breakthrough bleeding and had to stop. Yaz was the only birth control pills that didn't make me feel crazy from mood swings or depression. I see those lawyer ads on TV also, but I really liked Yaz.
Avatar f tn s when he said he was going to remove it but I had all the signs of endo, not complications from that. He put me on Yaz and I was regular for about 2 months. Since then, my symptoms have returned only worse. I finally went back today and they still strongly suspect it. I am waiting out a surgery to see if any hormone therapy will do the trick because I have to pay out of pocket. The doctor wants me to try loestrin 24 for 3 months. My question is, does anyone have experience with both?
1252901 tn?1271131868 As I go through your set of symptoms,it seems to have some relation with your pregnancy and drug history..Its better you take the pregnancy test and confirm that you are pregnant no way.If you are pregnant then every symptom seems to have a relation with it.But as per the drug history it drives me towards the adverse effects of Effexor drug which causes anorexia, headache, and GI problems like the one you stated. So why have been using that prescription for?
Avatar f tn Hi, Just hang in there until you see your Dr. . There isn't a whole lot we can tell you, except to try not to worry.. Cysts are common and 95% benign.. I wonder though, will you be seeing a GP or a Gynecologist? A Gyn. is really a better choice since they specialize in womens' health issues. How were your cysts diagnosed? Did you have an Ultrasound?
Avatar f tn Hello. I was on Yaz for about 5 months and in mid march (2 months ago) i decided to go off of it because of the crazy side effects! i got my first non pill period somewhat on time and now im waiting for my second period but it is almost a week late. i highly doubt im pregnant because i always use condoms with my bf. I am kinda worried anyways though but i just wanted to know if it was normal or not?
Avatar f tn Before these 5 months I was on Yaz for about a year i believe and i never had these symptoms...only this time around.
Avatar f tn I have been taking Yaz for about 4 months now. I am almost ready to go to the doctor for my depression and anxiety. Then, I started researching my pill (Yaz) and have found that these symptoms are likely related to this pill. I want to stop taking it and my husband is in support of that. However, I have read about terrible side effects from people that stopped, too. Anyone have experiences to share?
Avatar f tn I too have been taking Yaz for 5 cycles now and I have experienced the same bloating you are talking about. I am a very athletic person and I run almost 70 miles a week. Before Yaz I was skinny 5'3 110lbs and I didn't have much of a tummy at all.I am still the same weight but now I look almost pregnant, and i am positive i am not, but my stomach sticks out so much from bloating and it is making me miserable as well. I just want it to go away.
Avatar f tn Hi, YAZ birth control pill causes cholelithiasis. According to studies done, YAZ birth control pill increases the risk of gallbladder disease only marginally. But if you are symptomatic, like if you have pain in the upper right quadrant or if you develop nausea or jaundice, discuss your symptoms with your consulting doctor he may change the dose or the medications. Regards.
Avatar n tn I am on my second week of Yaz-put on it for really bad PMS and extremely heavy periods. (When my period came back after having my daughter and nursing her for a year, my PMS symptoms got progressively worse each month.) Now, on YAZ, I am having mood swings from extreme calm to extreme anxiety (close to full blown panic attack) and back again. I am easily irritated and have had heart palpatations since the second day on this medicine.
Avatar f tn s possible that the Yaz is already excaberating my mvp symptoms) Ideas anyone? I really must have some medical help for my debilitating ADD symptoms, but I don't want to worsen my heart/anxiety symtpoms. Thank you SO much for any help!
Avatar f tn I was on Yaz and LOVED it!!! I had no symptoms what so ever. AND my normal PMS symptoms were gone. No cramping, back aches, head aches, moodiness, pain anywhere. I even had normal flow. Usually I have incredibly painful, long and heavy cycles but not with Yaz, and in fact, I have had normal cycles since (although the cysts have come back) I hardly even knew it was that time of month other than the obvious.
Avatar f tn the reason i ask is because my symptoms seem much more mild than most of what i have read for hiv. i did not have a rash, no sores, no sore throat or cough (the cough...i could be wrong about...i had been smoking cigs while in mexico and i could have overlooked it as cig related if a cough did exists as i am not usually a smoker and have sensitive lungs). about 4 or 5 months later i got 1 or 2 dime sized psoriasis patches in new places. ALSO to consider...
Avatar n tn For a couple weeks, I was getting a lot of leg spasms. I am guessing these symptoms are all related to YAZ! So, if I find anything out about getting OFF THE PILL, I'll let you know! Why are you discontinuing it?
Avatar f tn I have been with my boyfriend ever since I was 14, I started my sexual life with him at age 16. I am almost 18 now. I have been through a lot recently, losing some family members to cancer. I've had this extreme baby fever and the will to start a family on my own.
Avatar f tn If you look at the posts on menopause eiterh on this wite or any others it seems that more woman write in for perimenopausal symptoms than they do for post menopausal so my theory is things just must get a whole lot better after than before.
Avatar f tn I took Ortho-tricyclyn for 7 years and decided to switch to yaz only because Ortho-tricyclyn made me moody and crazy only 1 week out of the month(big mistake on switching). Well I took Yaz for 2 years and stopped taking it in July of 2009. Suddenly all of the these symptoms happen to me anxiety, rapid heart beat, numbness and tingling after stopping yaz. I became numb, shaky, and pale at work shortly after that and they had to call 911. They told me I was having an anxiety attack.
Avatar f tn I have been taking Yaz for 6 months and have not had a period AT ALL for 3 months, no spotting nothing! I like the pill in general but I hate not knowing if im preggo month to month...My face broke out bad the first month also...
Avatar f tn I have been on yaz for 3 months now. I am tired all the time. I can't sleep at night but can't get out of the bed in the morning. I have been have cramps all over my body. My legs, side, face, and every where in my muscles. I went to the Dr for blood work. They said my thyroid is not working right so they did more blood work. I am tired of hurting all the time. My OBGY said its not yaz. But I am worried. I am 40 and I'm not use to feeling like this.
Avatar f tn My doctor has recently placed me on a Yaz treatment method for 6 months to treat nonclassical congenital adrenal hyperplasia. Any thoughts on this treatment method? So far the Yaz is ridiculous. I'm experiencing every common side effect but vomiting (then again I'm only on day 5). Any feedback would be appreciated.
