Common Questions and Answers about Yaz recall symptoms

yaz

Avatar f tn Each woman is different, but if yaz was the cause of your symptoms, you may start to feel relief within the first few weeks of discontinuing it. It can take a few months for it to filter out of your system; each woman varies on this. You'll know soon if going off it helps your symptoms. You should also talk to your doctor about your concerns.
Avatar n tn What I was wondering is whether or not YAZ can cause pregnancy symptoms after stopping them two months ago? I have been pregnant before and I really feel like I am pregnant. It may be too early to tell if I am pregnant, but I am so concerned with the lawsuit against YAZ. Can anybody help me?
1252901 tn?1271131868 As I go through your set of symptoms,it seems to have some relation with your pregnancy and drug history..Its better you take the pregnancy test and confirm that you are pregnant no way.If you are pregnant then every symptom seems to have a relation with it.But as per the drug history it drives me towards the adverse effects of Effexor drug which causes anorexia, headache, and GI problems like the one you stated. So why have been using that prescription for?
Avatar f tn My doctor suggested Yaz because I have very intense pms symptoms, probably PMDD. This is not the answer! It gave me headaches- no, migraines. I was so nauseous, tired, out of breath, and my anxiety level went wayyyyyy up. Instead of having awful PMS symptoms around and during my period, I was crazy all month! After to talking to every woman I know, many of the same symptoms were confirmed in them. I dont know anyone who has had a good experience on this pill.
Avatar f tn Before these 5 months I was on Yaz for about a year i believe and i never had these symptoms...only this time around.
Avatar f tn I am almost ready to go to the doctor for my depression and anxiety. Then, I started researching my pill (Yaz) and have found that these symptoms are likely related to this pill. I want to stop taking it and my husband is in support of that. However, I have read about terrible side effects from people that stopped, too. Anyone have experiences to share?
Avatar f tn Hi, YAZ birth control pill causes cholelithiasis. According to studies done, YAZ birth control pill increases the risk of gallbladder disease only marginally. But if you are symptomatic, like if you have pain in the upper right quadrant or if you develop nausea or jaundice, discuss your symptoms with your consulting doctor he may change the dose or the medications. Regards.
Avatar f tn [quote="anonymous"] When I was a senior in high school I went on Yasmin because I had heard so much about it and my gyno gave me a few samples to try. Well I did try it and LOVED it and stayed on it for about 2 years until my gyno's nurse suggested I try Yaz. She said it was about the same thing and I get shorter periods.
Avatar n tn I dont wear tight pants and only cotton panties. I am however taken yaz birth control... could that be it? yeast infections are a side effect of that... i dont know.. if anyone could help me that would be great..
Avatar n tn why was I stuck on YAZ? Anyway, are these symptoms dangerous? Should I really wait out the month or would that be risky? To me, anything to do with the heart isn't something to mess with. I'm also very atheletic and and worried about the palps + exercise.
Avatar f tn I have been with my boyfriend ever since I was 14, I started my sexual life with him at age 16. I am almost 18 now. I have been through a lot recently, losing some family members to cancer. I've had this extreme baby fever and the will to start a family on my own.
Avatar f tn I was on Yaz and LOVED it!!! I had no symptoms what so ever. AND my normal PMS symptoms were gone. No cramping, back aches, head aches, moodiness, pain anywhere. I even had normal flow. Usually I have incredibly painful, long and heavy cycles but not with Yaz, and in fact, I have had normal cycles since (although the cysts have come back) I hardly even knew it was that time of month other than the obvious.
Avatar n tn For a couple weeks, I was getting a lot of leg spasms. I am guessing these symptoms are all related to YAZ! So, if I find anything out about getting OFF THE PILL, I'll let you know! Why are you discontinuing it?
Avatar f tn Here is a little something I pulled up while researching yaz problems Yaz and Yasmin are different from other birth control pills available in the United States because they contain drospirenone, a progestin which can increase blood potassium levels and increase the risk of: * Heart Attack * Stroke * Blood Clots: Deep Vein Thrombosis (DVT) and Pulmonary Embolism (PE) * Gallbladder Problems * Kidney Damage or Kidney Disease * Cardiac Arrhythmias * Sudden Death Call y
Avatar f tn Your symptoms are worse than what you started. Yaz, like many other birth control pills will cause side effects, but since they are so popular and have put their name so far out to the public, the company is seen as doing the opposite and worse than other companies.
Avatar f tn I have been on yaz for 3 months now. I am tired all the time. I can't sleep at night but can't get out of the bed in the morning. I have been have cramps all over my body. My legs, side, face, and every where in my muscles. I went to the Dr for blood work. They said my thyroid is not working right so they did more blood work. I am tired of hurting all the time. My OBGY said its not yaz. But I am worried. I am 40 and I'm not use to feeling like this.
Avatar f tn My doctor has recently placed me on a Yaz treatment method for 6 months to treat nonclassical congenital adrenal hyperplasia. Any thoughts on this treatment method? So far the Yaz is ridiculous. I'm experiencing every common side effect but vomiting (then again I'm only on day 5). Any feedback would be appreciated.
Avatar n tn Has anyone used yaz to treat endometriosis? has any one got pregnant after using it? and also has inflmmation in the uterus?

Avatar n tn I was prescribed Lexapro for mood and maxalt for headache by PCP ( have been on numerous triptans for the last ten years for good control) When my perimenopausal symptoms began to increase hot flashes, sleep difficulties and mood, I was placed on Yaz. It has overall been great. Controlled by anxiety except for right before menses.

Avatar m tn If you asking on behalf of a female contemplating the use of the contraceptive product called YAZ or already using YAZ, please tell her that YAZ has been found to be a questionable product for birth control. By questionable , this is what I mean. I have seen commercials where lawyers are telling women who have used YAZ and have suffered severe side effects from using YAZ that they are entitled to a settlement. I conclude that the product YAZ can , in some cases, cause severe side effects.
Avatar f tn 5-12) and T3 uptake 17 (23-35). Incidentally she has been on Yaz for 4 years for excess androgens. Recently, her cholesterol(280) and triglycerides(244) have gone thru he roof. She doesn't drink or smoke, is not over weight and rarely drinks a soda. She has been complaining of being dizzy and has lost a ton of hair. My mother has hashimotos hypothyroid. Does this sound thyroid related?
