yaz and ovulation

Is it possible that because I missed all those pills, an egg WILL be released on my ovulation day this time and could very well be fertilized? Or, if I stick to my plan and take two per day until Saturday, can I still save an egg from being released? I'm really, really scared now. I've only ever missed a maximum of two pills, never three, and I've always been lucky not to get pregnant. I'm scared I've used up all my free passes.

re on a birth control that does NOT contain BOTH progesterone and estrogen it is a combination pill and DOES ALL THREE. I was on Aviane, which is also known as Alysee and several other names, and bc pills like Yaz and others do the same thing. Look up how your specific one works, but I'm pretty positive that if it's a combination pill it works the same way.

I took Yaz years ago when it was called Yazmin and I can't remember what it looked like exactly. Are the inactive pills the first or last 7 pills in the packet? They are a different color. The 7 pills of different color are just sugar pills. Either way it is incredibly unlikely that you are pregnant missing one pill at the beginning of the cycle based on when a woman's fertile time is (middle of cycle), however if it was the sugar pill it is completely impossible.

I'm 21 years old and have started to have weird ovulation cycle lengths since I stopped taking my birth control pills (Yaz). I had been on a pill-form birth control for 6 years when I decided to come off of it. In the first two months my period was pretty much the same (starting, time, flow, etc.). The next few months after that my period was starting to take a little longer to arrive by either a week or two, but when it did come it was a normal flow.

I had issues when I was on Yaz for the first couple packs. After that I LOVED it. I lost 30 pounds taking Yaz, skin cleared up and feeling great. If I wasn't TTC, I would be back on it! (the 30 pound gain was a killer, thank you PCOS).

ive been on birth control since i was 13 for PMDD and recently switched to yaz from seasonique. i had unprotected sex while i was switching meds. i took a pregnancy test three days ago and it was negative but i still havent started... what should i do?

Hi, YAZ birth control pill causes cholelithiasis. According to studies done, YAZ birth control pill increases the risk of gallbladder disease only marginally. But if you are symptomatic, like if you have pain in the upper right quadrant or if you develop nausea or jaundice, discuss your symptoms with your consulting doctor he may change the dose or the medications. With that being said you have not officially missed a peroid so i would wait until you have fully missed it to spend anymore money on tests! Yaz happens to be a GREAT birthcontrol and if taken properly has a 99.9% effectiveness!!! Keep us all posted on what you find out!

Hi everyone So for the past few day Ive been very gassy, feeling bloated and crampy on and off and constipated, and have very sensitive itchy nipples. I had these same "symptoms" and more late last year/early this year and was sure I was preggie but found out it was just the BC I was on (Ortho Tri-Cyclen which makes your body actually think its preggie and once I stopped it and got on Yaz in Feb all that stopped).

I have been on birth control for about 5 years. For the last year I have been on YAZ. I did not have a period for about 8 months and then finally stopped taking to pill for about 6 or 7 weeks-only to receive a very painful menstruation. Since then, I still miss pills occasionally and am surprised that I haven't got pregnant. Overall, I don't take them regularly. When I get off them completely, how long does it usually take your body to "re-set" itself to ovulate regularly??

Brought first response ovulation tests 1st 2nd and 3rd showed 2 pink lines strong so have been having intercourse period due 2day no symptons took pregnancy test on wednesday came out negative...really dont know what to do previously came off yaz bith control in may...had my 1st normal period july. ttc since may had no luck....

But right now I am a little worried because these last few weeks I thought have been having what was my usual PMS/ovulation symptoms. Mostly just a little cramping, some bloating and heartburn, and this past week the feeling I might start my period that day, but so far nothing. I looked up early pregnancy symptoms and saw that I haven't felt anything of that sort (like the dizziness, spotting, and the food cravings and the breast soreness).

hey there i was on Yaz almsot 2 years ago and was only one for 3 months my period was the full 2 months and did not stop and horrible cramps. and now i am engaged and ttc and have been trying for over a year with no such luck could yaz have anything to do with this? or what else may be thee problem?

puts me on a month of Yaz when I get these cysts, and they go away in that month. I HATE Yaz, but he says that you need the strong hormones and not all birth controls have that strong of hormones. It has been working on the months when I need it, but it does slow up the process. Having the cyst does impact ovulation and/or follicle production, so it is important to get rid of it. I THOUGHT that since I had two easy pregnancies, I would have no problems, but it has been a year and a half now.

These days are presumably after I already ovulated, so I tried not to worry myself over it, and I took two pills on the 19th and two on the 20th. On the 21st, I started bleeding. I bled all the way up until the 28th. It was very light at first (I'd only see it when I wiped), then got a bit heavier, but was relatively light the whole way through. Because I'm also worried that I have some sort of bacterial infection, I thought that it may have been a symptom of that.

i have two ovarian cysts one 3cm and the other slightly smaller, i was already on mirena an iud and now put on yaz to for birth control to shrink the cysts but now my breast are swelling really bad, what should i look out for as for complications, is this safe?

Just today I am now feeling tenderness of my nipples, is that common too? Does anyone know how long it will take to get out of my system? i'm on Yaz and i went to Hawaii june 2nd through june 10th and i was supposed to be on my period during that week but i double up on my birth control so i wouldnt have a period during vacation but before that i was sexually active with out protection and i had not taken my birth control at the same time those days. but i guess i was just wondering could you get pregnant during that time? are you fertile if you do that?

m thinking these tests were useless due to the Yaz and that she needed the free levels checked but does the TSH look high? We have stopped the Yaz and will retest in a month or two. Thanks.

I am a 49 year old female in perimenopause. I have a history of migraines since starting my menses at age 13 years old. Been in perimenopause for the last 4 years. Four years ago began having panic attacks-one occurred during visit with GYN. I was place on low dose niravan for anxiety.

I wondering if anyone knows when your on the Yaz birth control pill if you can skip your period for the month? I was on Ortho tri- lo another pill and I was able to but I am now on Yaz. Please let me know if you have done this or KNOW for sure!

so I have been on yaz for about 10 months and for some reason my pharmacist said that I was out of refills and switched me back to yasmin which i had taken before. Unfortunately I missed day 7 of my yasmin pill, not taking it until when I took my pill on day 8... About a day or two later, my stomache started cramping up all over... I kept saying it must have been from something I ate, but now 5 days later, my the cramping continues.
