My daughter has only been taking YAZ for two and half weeks and has begun calling me every night from college in tears. She doesn't know what's wrong. Just feels like crying all the time. Also had an episode where she became so dehydrated that she fainted last week. I don't know if either of these things can be attributed to the YAZ, but I plan to call the OB/GYN tomorrow to check. Will post what I find out.
3-4 different kinds of pills, the patch, the shot and I had terrible side effects for all of those including worse pains, numbness, and my entire leg and arm tingling and going numb. But on Yaz there were no side effects and all my cysts were gone.

Hi, YAZ birth control pill causes cholelithiasis. According to studies done, YAZ birth control pill increases the risk of gallbladder disease only marginally. But if you are symptomatic, like if you have pain in the upper right quadrant or if you develop nausea or jaundice, discuss your symptoms with your consulting doctor he may change the dose or the medications. So I am on my 8th week and everything bothers me, clothes, people, smells, some places. I just don't feel like myself right now. Is this normal?
I get so moody at times and am not sure how to handle it. Mostly I just don't wanna be bothered. Any suggestions?
How can you gain weight if you have lost your appetite? I know that everytime I have lost my appetite I have lost a tremendous amount of weight. In the book that comes with Yaz it says that spotting may occur. Some of these pills work for some and some don't work for others. I have used Yaz and like it the best and my friend used it and it made her sick. It's too bad they didn't have a way to plug in your information and out pops an answer of what pill you should use.
Since I had been taking the Yaz for almost two months straight (I skipped my period by not taking the placebo pills) do you think this changes the possibility of me being unprotected?
Of course, my husband and I are very upset and shocked since she was always extremely healthy until recently. She also has been very moody and irritable. We were hoping that starting insulin injections would help relieve the moodiness, but it seems to have continued, even though her sugar levels have been kept under control. Is this a common occurence at the beginning phases of Type 1 diabetes?
He is by no means abusive or cruel, he just withdraws and closes himself off and if I leave him alone and give him some space he seems to bounce right back and be even more loving and affectionate for it.
It's tons of little things, like we'll be in the process of doing something like watching TV, taking a walk or doing dishes and suddenly he'll seem restless and even confused.

I am a 49 year old female in perimenopause. I have a history of migraines since starting my menses at age 13 years old. Been in perimenopause for the last 4 years. Four years ago began having panic attacks-one occurred during visit with GYN. I was place on low dose niravan for anxiety.

October 15 - Started YAZ, also my first day of period (4 days light period only)
November 10 - Period came
November 11 - Last day of YAZ (first pack)
November 12 - First pill of second pack of YAZ very heavy bleeding
November 13 VERY HEAVY BLEEDING
November 14, 15, 16, 17, 18 Regular bleeding
Nov19- 27 light bleeding
Nov 28 bleeding gone
I went to my OB November 24 and advised me to take my remaining YAZ 3x a day.
Although the pill does prevent pregnancy it still happens. However if you have been gradually becoming more irregular it could just be the pill itself. I read some posts on other forums about women getting pregnant while on yaz but I'm not sure how common it is. I was on yaz for a year and a few months (just stopped taking it recently) and had awful side effects while on the pill and from stopping it.
