hey my sister took yaz for 3 months and she had bad side effects, unable to get out of the bed due to having very bad stomach pains that pepto bismo would only ease the pain for a few minutes. she had to get several tests done because of all the pain she was in, she is currently going through a lawsuit with yaz because of what it has done to her.

Have you had your Potassium and Calcium and Vit. D levels checked? Yaz and Yasmine are not solely estrogen based and may cause elevated Potassium levels. I had low Vit. D levels and had muscle cramping and tingling from the low level. Hope you are feeling better soon.

I too gained a lot of weight.. and had random cramps.. most of my cramps would be in my legs and feet. I would never have a period.. which was confusing for me since I was told by my doctor that It would only shorten my period .. not take it away all together. I also lost all drive to want to have sex.. it was horrible.. I just recently switched back to Yasmin (what I was taking before the Yaz).. I hope the change helps. .. Did you end up changing BC?

Another thing that works alright is Hylands restful legs they also have stuff to help with pain calledleg leg cramps it helps with lower back and leg cramps. THEY ALSO HAVE SOME STUFF CALLED CALM FORTE. Hot showers or better. yet baths as hot as u can stand them. If u buy some of the hylands stuff buy it at Walmart it is like 5 bucks cheaper tham walgreens 3 something at walmart compared to 8 something at Walgreens.

I have a very similar experience, I am 28yrs old ,since I started my period when I was 11yrs old it has been an endless nightmare, of severe bleeding, PMDD (severe depression, anxiety, mood swings) and cramps so bad that I would pass out!! So i tried every home remedy and not to mention I was an athlete but nothing worked...

Year ago I started Yaz and on the 4th day I got severe leg cramps in my left leg and stopped. About a month and a half ago I started orthocyclen on the 5th day the same thing happened, Sharp stabbing pains in my left leg and leg cramps! Dr. switced me to micronor, thinking No estrogen would help, on the 2nd day the same thing happend! So yesterday I started aviane (lowest dose BCP) and again the same situation.

I just started taking the Yaz two weeks ago. My first week I noticed nausea. I still feel the cramps/pain from my cysts, and bloating. So not sure if that is from the cysts or has anything to do with the pill. My Dr is waiting to see if it helps before deciding what to do next. I had cysts last year and had to have them surgically removed and now they have returned as complex cysts. Here in Colorado they are gathering information too about the class action lawsuit.

And Yaz (recalled and undergoing a class-action suit in the US.) caused myself & my daughter to experience severe clotting, blood-loss, resultant anemia, & creation of serious plumbing problems in an old building that had been purchased via donations & grants for use as a community arts centre. Suffice it to say, I pray that they Never realise it was mostly due to That, and not faulty pipes - I couldn't ever afford to repay the damage and repairs that were undertaken...

At the point of seeing a stranger in my reflection with no one left to tell i just stopped caring about even taking yaz and soon after i fell like i was slowly waking up. I took Yaz years ago when it was called Yazmin and I can't remember what it looked like exactly. Are the inactive pills the first or last 7 pills in the packet? They are a different color. The 7 pills of different color are just sugar pills. Either way it is incredibly unlikely that you are pregnant missing one pill at the beginning of the cycle based on when a woman's fertile time is (middle of cycle), however if it was the sugar pill it is completely impossible.

At the end of May (on the 18th), I had surgery on my stomach and stopped taking the Yaz. I had been forgetting to take them all month, and had a very light period right before the surgery. Anyway, come June, I got my period in the middle of the month, like on the 14th, which was weird considering my periods usually come at the end of the month. Then, on the 24th, I lost my virginity. We used a condom and were careful, etc.

I used to take YAZ. It helped with menstrual cramps and made my breasts a cup size bigger! But I stopped taking it because it causes severe blood clots and now my breasts have gotten a lot smaller. Can anyone recommend a great birth control where you've experienced an increase in breast size?

Previously I had constant break-though bleeding (more like a period- for even 2 and a half weeks) and cramps. I switched to Microgestin and that made me so sick I stopped, and then restarted Lo Loestrin Fe. I have taken it everyday and have never missed a pill. The only thing that I have done probably incorrectly with pill use is only a couple of times I took it maybe an hour and a half/two hours late. I’ve spotted quite often- not as badly as before.

i have never been so depressed and emotional in my life! i am 21 years old, always happy and cheerful..and i cant even bring myself to smile anymore. my breakthrough bleeding is horrible and i have no appetite. ive lost almost 10 lbs in about 2 weeks..i plan on calling the doctor tomorrow because tonight was such a bad night as far as side effects go. ive been crying over everything and anything. has anyone else experienced these horrible side effects???

3-4 different kinds of pills, the patch, the shot and I had terrible side effects for all of those including worse pains, numbness, and my entire leg and arm tingling and going numb. But on Yaz there were no side effects and all my cysts were gone. But remember, everyone is different. Hope this was helpful!

Its a brown discharge like color sometimes with little red blood and very small clots. I have tiny cramps sometimes. Is this normal? Why is this happening? Sometimes its heavy and I need a pad, and sometimes I just need a panty liner. This is really starting to weird me out and it getting annoying. I have read some other posts like mine and I really just need reassurance.. Can anyone PLEASE PLEASE help me?

After the 5th day, I started having cramps and passing clots, which I hadnt done in awhile. I called the doc and they told me to take a pregnancy test. If it was positive to go in, if it was negative to triple my pills for the next 3 days, double sat & sun an regular on monday! Im worried and dont understand why or whats happening and Im nervous to take so many pills. It stopped for one day but its starting again. ANY HELP PLEASE!!????

FRUSTRATED. I'm so I'll. And so easily irratated right now! I started yaz a month ago and was pretty consisitant! Now no period... As of now 3 days late- at one day late I tested just to make sure so I could stop BC but now still no period! I've had cramps for over a week now! I'm getting so irratated.

I know while I am there to get my results he is going to try to get me to take YAZ, which he suggested when I got my PAP exam (I researched YAZ and found some horror stories!!) or some sort of IUD...I don't know how to feel about that either. Should I listen to my instincts and avoid birth control? It seems to me it's just a band-aid and not a real solution to a problem. If I do have PCOS, are there other alternatives besides taking birth control? Please give me some guidance. Thanks.

t stick to my diet in the first 2 weeks. It would cause stomach cramps, bloating and diarrhea. After the first 2 weeks were over, things went into place and I never had any issues again with it. Birth control can sometimes cause weight gain...but not every woman is the same. I never had weight gain with Yasmin. Sleepiness is not a side affect of metformin. And also, not every woman who has PCOS has diabetes. As far has the birth control, it did lighten my period and made it shorter as well.

ve been on yaz for about three years and have not had any complications with anything, no nausea, or cramps, nothing.But before getting on Yaz I never had PMS or cramps so that may be why I'm not experiencing the same symptoms as others. i have been on some form of birth control since i was 16 (i think, or 17). i am 20 now. i have been on yaz for the last 2 years. i can't see my gyno, being out of state now, but i will talk to her about this of course before doing it. what should i expect? i went on it initially because i had heavy periods and bad cramps. when i get my period now, it's light with minor cramps. i never had acne or anything, but i think it might have helped clear up my skin a little.
