hey my sister took yaz for 3 months and she had bad side effects, unable to get out of the bed due to having very bad stomach pains that pepto bismo would only ease the pain for a few minutes. she had to get several tests done because of all the pain she was in, she is currently going through a lawsuit with yaz because of what it has done to her.

ive been on yaz for almost 3 years and in the last year i have been sick every month for five months right before my period with gastroenteritis which is vomiting for 2 hours with diarrhea and being very dizzy . i also have very bad mood swings anger irritation very easily, cry for no reason and more, not really sure what to do because my doctor hasnt really suggested i go of of it?

Year ago I started Yaz and on the 4th day I got severe leg cramps in my left leg and stopped. About a month and a half ago I started orthocyclen on the 5th day the same thing happened, Sharp stabbing pains in my left leg and leg cramps! Dr. switced me to micronor, thinking No estrogen would help, on the 2nd day the same thing happend! So yesterday I started aviane (lowest dose BCP) and again the same situation.

I was told that I have PCOS a week ago. I was wondering what side effects you have had from these drugs. Over the past year, I have gained 50 pounds by changing nothing at all. This gain happened while I was doing 1.5 hr cardio a day with weights & eating around 800 calories. (5'4, 160 now). My Dr. told me that Metformin would help with lowering my weight.Yet, I'm now on Yaz. Yaz has been said to cause weight gain in some girls (maybe just from the horrible intense cravings).

3-4 different kinds of pills, the patch, the shot and I had terrible side effects for all of those including worse pains, numbness, and my entire leg and arm tingling and going numb. But on Yaz there were no side effects and all my cysts were gone. But remember, everyone is different. Hope this was helpful!

I used to take YAZ. It helped with menstrual cramps and made my breasts a cup size bigger! But I stopped taking it because it causes severe blood clots and now my breasts have gotten a lot smaller. Can anyone recommend a great birth control where you've experienced an increase in breast size?

Aren't such side-effects as abdominal cramps have been reported for Yasmin? As I have found them in the drugs description.

I am afraid to go off Yaz from all the side effects I hear about it and would like to get pregnant in the near future, instead of going off of it cold turkey and experience all the side effects any suggestions to how many pills I should miss in order to get pregnant?

I don't believe I'm pregnant it's just causing the worst side effects. Like feel mad/ frustrated constantly..

i have been on some form of birth control since i was 16 (i think, or 17). i am 20 now. i have been on yaz for the last 2 years. i can't see my gyno, being out of state now, but i will talk to her about this of course before doing it. what should i expect? i went on it initially because i had heavy periods and bad cramps. when i get my period now, it's light with minor cramps. i never had acne or anything, but i think it might have helped clear up my skin a little.

Hmm, I just started Yaz again (had to switch to Yasmin for a bit) and my period has been going for two weeks. Now technically I'm supposed to be starting my period tomorrow and the bleeding is finally tapering off.

My OBGY said its not yaz. But I am worried. I am 40 and I'm not use to feeling like this.

I believe these are just side effects of the pill. I never experienced them myself but my sister experienced both increased hunger and tenderness of her breast on both the pill and the shot.

I'm on YAZ, and so is my roommate, and we both have trouble with being dry. I actually had to buy lube because it was such an issue. I only switched from Seasonele because of the money, but I'm thinking of going back because of the Yaz side effects. I didnt have any on Seasonele, and I found out that its the same thing as Seasonique (except Seasonique has hormones in the "placebo" pills) and Seasonique is covered by a state program... hopefully everything will work out!

Any major side effects I should be worried about...I was reading that it causes bigger breast, weight gain, and low sex drive...is that true for anyone else who has taken it?

You stated your girlfriend is using YAZ as a form of birth control. Are you aware that YAZ can have some serious side effects. The product YAZ has made some women very sick. Tell her to google YAZ and she can see for herself. As far as the odds she is pregnant, and you not using a condom and saying you may have come a little inside, and pulled out 97% of the climax, hopefully not. I wish you well.

Upset stomach, back pain, leg cramps. I can hardly drive or walk for that matter. Most of all the symptoms that I have read on this I have had. At one point I thought I was dieing. I have had Insomnia and I have sleep apnea too. I am calling my Doctor to either take me off of it or lower the dose. I can't live like this and feel like this. I am also very Depressed. I was almost bed stricken this week-end with pain.

it would be a good idea to see a doctor so he or she can help ypu figure out what is causing all this. ive never heard it a side affect from the yaz. where did you read this? i am also on yaz.
