The numbness has happened since I started taking them and the confusion and tiring started about a month in. Yes, Lamictal is the only medication I take and yes, I am still in school. I am in the 11th grade. I space out at random times even in the middle of class, and although it is rare I sometimes space out when I drive.

i know=[ ) im really scared, oh im on Yaz, lamictal xr, abilify celexa, stratera, (and some pill to help me stay awake that i havnt took in like 2months) also my mum thought i had a uti so she put me on some antibiotics (but i cant remember if i atucally took them) so that might have been me saying something useless...i took a blood test at the ER (but i REALLY dont trust the ER soo..) and it came up neg. The found that there was too much of the drug in her system even though she was only taking the prescribed dosage. As far as the Lamictal goes, it and other anti-convulsants can cause a lot of side effects including the headache, dizziness, loss of balance and confusion. Talk to the doctor right away about lowering the dosage of Lamictal or taking her off of it. For me, all the anticonvulsants I took just made things worse. I felt drugged all the time and would still have some seizures.

But if you are symptomatic, like if you have pain in the upper right quadrant or if you develop nausea or jaundice, discuss your symptoms with your consulting doctor he may change the dose or the medications. Since I had been taking the Yaz for almost two months straight (I skipped my period by not taking the placebo pills) do you think this changes the possibility of me being unprotected?

i have two ovarian cysts one 3cm and the other slightly smaller, i was already on mirena an iud and now put on yaz to for birth control to shrink the cysts but now my breast are swelling really bad, what should i look out for as for complications, is this safe?

Just today I am now feeling tenderness of my nipples, is that common too? Does anyone know how long it will take to get out of my system? Also my libido had depleted to nothing, how long should it take for that to come back?

m thinking these tests were useless due to the Yaz and that she needed the free levels checked but does the TSH look high? We have stopped the Yaz and will retest in a month or two. Thanks.

I am a 49 year old female in perimenopause. I have a history of migraines since starting my menses at age 13 years old. Been in perimenopause for the last 4 years. Four years ago began having panic attacks-one occurred during visit with GYN. I was place on low dose niravan for anxiety.

I wondering if anyone knows when your on the Yaz birth control pill if you can skip your period for the month? I was on Ortho tri- lo another pill and I was able to but I am now on Yaz. Please let me know if you have done this or KNOW for sure!

27-yr old female with overall good health but some emotional issues. Currently on Wellbutrin for depression, Lamictal for mood swings, Xanax as needed for panic attacks, and birth control (Yaz). Mental health well-managed with therapy and drugs. History of B12 deficiency that has been resolved. No history of headache. The pain has been completely unresponsive to all analgesics. No medicine has caused even slight relief.

m unhappy with this so my OBGYN switched me to Zovia, which I do not like. My question is, could YAz and Topamax at 50-100mg, be taken together?

I've done okay with lamictal, but lamictal and celexa, not so good. And now lamictal with wellbutrin, not so good. At least I think it's not the lamictal. I know my PsychNP put a big no in her notes regarding me and celexa.

I have been on lamictal 100mg to 150mg, and I haven't noticed any facial hair growth, although I think my hair is thinning out. When I take a shower and put cream rinse in and work it thru, I have lots of hair coming out.

The new pills made my period crazy, but yaz made it come the same time every month. However, yaz made my periods last longer, and I would bleed on and off for a week towards the end of using yaz.

I just started my yaz again after being off it for 3 months. and I just got my new contacts on Thursday. WEll last night I was wearing them and they were really dry and blurry. I read the little booklet that comes with the Yaz and It says to contact your doctor if you can't see using your contacts with your birth control. Why is this? Is it just because they become dry? Will eye drops help this?

Although the pill does prevent pregnancy it still happens. However if you have been gradually becoming more irregular it could just be the pill itself. I read some posts on other forums about women getting pregnant while on yaz but I'm not sure how common it is. I was on yaz for a year and a few months (just stopped taking it recently) and had awful side effects while on the pill and from stopping it.

It should work once it reaches an appropriate dose. Occassionally at higher dosages Lamictal can sometimes worsen mania but it takes time and a psychiatrist has to see how they are responding in general. Keep a mood tracker here and print out the results for your psychiatrist and ask them to follow up.
