yaz and ic

Hi, at my doctors appointment last week, my Md told me that I also have PCOS along with hypothroid. I was put on the birth control IC Microgestrin FE 1-20 and the directions said to start the pill on the day I get my period? All other birth control pills you start after your period is over, whats going on, is it because of the progestrin?

Hi, YAZ birth control pill causes cholelithiasis. According to studies done, YAZ birth control pill increases the risk of gallbladder disease only marginally. But if you are symptomatic, like if you have pain in the upper right quadrant or if you develop nausea or jaundice, discuss your symptoms with your consulting doctor he may change the dose or the medications. I was later diagnosed with IC, and prescriber 100 mg of amitripteline. Since I had been taking the Yaz for almost two months straight (I skipped my period by not taking the placebo pills) do you think this changes the possibility of me being unprotected?

i have two ovarian cysts one 3cm and the other slightly smaller, i was already on mirena an iud and now put on yaz to for birth control to shrink the cysts but now my breast are swelling really bad, what should i look out for as for complications, is this safe?

t think IC itself caused it... there are contributing factors. First exercises and diet are huge IC flared triggers for me so less activity and since soda, tea, citurs and tomatoes are off the list- we are left eating more fatty foods like white sauses vs. tomatoe etc.

Hi Everyone. I've been diagnosed with interstitial cystitis last yr. I had it for about 6 yrs. prior but it went undiagnosed. Ok...short synopsis. I have been given the medications that are commonly prescribed for IC and they don't seem to be helping. I've also had 3 hydro-distentions and while they worked short term the pain always came back. My new uro tested me with an electronical device...didn't work.

October 15 - Started YAZ, also my first day of period (4 days light period only) November 10 - Period came November 11 - Last day of YAZ (first pack) November 12 - First pill of second pack of YAZ very heavy bleeding November 13 VERY HEAVY BLEEDING November 14, 15, 16, 17, 18 Regular bleeding Nov19- 27 light bleeding Nov 28 bleeding gone I went to my OB November 24 and advised me to take my remaining YAZ 3x a day.

The new pills made my period crazy, but yaz made it come the same time every month. However, yaz made my periods last longer, and I would bleed on and off for a week towards the end of using yaz.

can anyone tell me some things about it? or if and how it could relate to endometriosis and pelvic pain? Does IC have anything to do with periods? and I was also wondering this: when a doctor presses around different spots on your abdomen, would certain spots hurt more than others depending on what you could have? Because when she pushed on my bladder it didn't hurt, but when she pushed more to the sides of my lower abdomen closer to my hip bones it hurt a lot more.
