I have found a lot of information linking gallbladder disease with the BC pill Yaz. I myself have been going through some major health issues since about 2 months after I started taking the pill. Although the pill has cleared my acne and evened out my hormone levels, I've been to several doctors because of a pain in my right side. I've also had my appendix removed because of a misdiagnosis. Now my doctors are convinced that I have to have my gallbladder removed.

Suddenly all of the these symptoms happen to me anxiety,rapid heart beat,numbness and tingling after stopping yaz. I became numb,shaky,and pale at work shortly after that and they had to call 911. They told me I was having an anxiety attack. I coud not believe them I have never had anxiety before in my life.

I would also investigate potential GI causes. A stricture, mass, gastroparesis, liver or gallbladder disease can lead to nausea. I would consider an upper GI and/or upper endoscopy, as well as imaging the abdomen with an ultrasound or CT scan. If the GI workup is non-revealing, you can consider neurological causes as well, including a brain CT scan or MRI. These options can be discussed with your personal physician.

I have read several posst and I've been able find other people with similar symptoms like mine. I have had IBS type symptoms for about 11 years, but a few years ago I began having stomach issues that just didn't seem like the usual IBS stuff. it may be the yaz... i was takin yaz and it kicked my butt.. i had to be takin off of it.. my mood swings and stuff were uncontrolable. if i were you i would check with your doc but alot of what your goin through sounds like me when i was on yaz... i have never taken meds for depression but while on yaz the dr said i might need it.. once i quit takn the yaz i was alot better and i mean alot..

Have you checked out the possibility of Sphincter of Oddi dysfunction? I had similar problems after my gallbladder surgery and it took a couple of years of "attacks" and pain and nausea to figure out what I actually had. This is a great website for finding the answers, and CalGal is the one that keyed me in on this dx. Also, I have since discovered that this may have developed after taking the pill Yaz and Yasmine. We are currently investigating this possibility.

I am not sure if there is but I suffered from a bad vertigo attack in July 07 had ER visits and all kinds of test that were normal and then in Nov 07 started with upset stomach and vomiting and just had my gallbladder out in Jan 08 (no stones). No one has told me that they are related but I wonder?

I have disease and gallstones and, yes, I get exactly what you describe and as a sidenote, same thing happens about 15mins before kidney stone activity.

I developed a small rash on my side two weeks ago, started out as just some raised bumps, not itching or anything. It very quickly spread across my side, and now itches. I've put hydrocortisone on it which made it start to shrink. My sister (a nurse) thought maybe it was a delayed allergic response to my tattoo, which i got in early August. Is your pain located mainly on your right side? If so have you had your gallbladder checked?? Sometimes when you are having symptoms such as yours, and all of the tests(CT scans, Ultrasounds, MRI) come back normal, it could be a condition called biliary dyskinesia or Acalculous cholecystopathy(gallbladder disease). Which is in essence gallbladder disease without stones. I'm having my gallbladder removed soon because of it. Ask your doctor for a HIDA Scan.

i have two ovarian cysts one 3cm and the other slightly smaller, i was already on mirena an iud and now put on yaz to for birth control to shrink the cysts but now my breast are swelling really bad, what should i look out for as for complications, is this safe?

m just wondering if anyone has had a similar experience with panic and anxiety as a result of yaz? And have you found that it even got worse when you took yourself off of it? Just today I am now feeling tenderness of my nipples, is that common too? Does anyone know how long it will take to get out of my system? Also my libido had depleted to nothing, how long should it take for that to come back?

m thinking these tests were useless due to the Yaz and that she needed the free levels checked but does the TSH look high? We have stopped the Yaz and will retest in a month or two. Thanks.

In January of 2010, I was diagnosed with gallbladder disease and had surgery to remove it. I wondering if anyone knows when your on the Yaz birth control pill if you can skip your period for the month? I was on Ortho tri- lo another pill and I was able to but I am now on Yaz. Please let me know if you have done this or KNOW for sure!
