What I found interesting, was that after looking at my favorite top 5, increase and decrease in libido was not even mentioned although they were quick to note side effects such as depression, vaginal dryness and legathy. Even the official website for Arimidex itself and the "largest known site for the most comprehensive list of side effects" doesn't touch libido...at all. Hmmm However, women taking this medication tell a different story.

Im not vomiting any more but still am nausious. Its been a month since then. Can the side effects last this long or is there another reason for the nausea?

The manufacturer has by law to list all known side-effects on their product data sheets, even rare side-effects. Remember many people get through their treatment without suffering any major side-effects and hopefully this will be the case with you. So I would relax and forget it. If you worry about a decrease in libido, you'll definitely get a decrease in libido!

Many AD's have side effects that affect the libido, guess it applies to both sex es. As far as I know all AD's have this drastic effect . Hopefully you'll find one that's OK for you . Good luck.

with the Ortho it took me 4months to get over the side effects. took it for 6 months before TTCin n it wasn't so bad. as for the Yasmin, it gave me horrible migraines and I kept on vomiting every time I took it. if ur sure about the Yasmin pills then I'd recommend that u wait until u finish ur ortho first to avoid unnecessary bleeding. However, I recently read that studies have shown that, although less common than with SSRI antidepressants, Wellbutrin can cause sexual side effects, such as decreased libido and impotence. I would like to know if anyone else on Wellbutrin had these symptoms? Will these symptoms subside? My depression is getting better, but these sexual problems are starting to take a toll on my self-esteem. Any advice or help will be greatly appreciated.

m already feeling the side effects like dizziness, irritated mood, lack of libido and it is taking long to get an erection. I have a high libido by default but I'm not feeling it anymore this morning. I read pregabalin causes this. Is this permanent? I'm only 21... I also read it causes brain tumor - that's scary... and I read I must not stop this medicine unless doctor says. So I'm kinda trapped here and I don't want to loose my libido.

Aren't such side-effects as abdominal cramps have been reported for Yasmin? As I have found them in the drugs description.

I used both, and found that side effects are similar; tiredness, weight gain, and a slow pulse. Side effects are more pronounced as the dosage is increased. I had dosages from 25mg to 200mg. daily. Other reported effects are loss of libido, tightness in the chest, itching, irregular breathing, and irregular heartbeat. If you have any further questions, I'd be happy to respond based on my experience with the drug.

Hi everyone, I was diagnosed with endo 6 months back and was operated on immediately. The gyne later commented i had stage 4 endo which was very sever at my age (I'm 26 this year). Subsequently, i was given Decapeptyl for 3 consecutive months, stopped for 3 months and now starting to take Yasmin..I've read about the side effects of Yasmin but there seems to be few people taking Yasmin to help with endometriosis..can anyone advise?

I just want a little clarification. I've had the Nexplanon implant for about...3 months now. I've done my research and read all of the side effects. I haven't had a menstrual cycle since the implant, I have also taken a pregnancy test and came out negative. I know this is mentioned on a lot of side effect lists but I just want to make sure there's nothing I should rush to a doctor to get checked out.

I was on the pill and had side effects from yasmin but tricyclin was ok and alesse was good too. I cant remember to take tehm daily so Im switching to the ring and see how that goes.

I have heard about Yaz and Yasmin causing more of a risk for blood clots in women....BUT (yes there is a but) almost all birth control pills can cause blood clots especialy if you have had them before, or have had a family history of them. If your nurse wants you to switch to a genric then you can still take Yasmin (but it would be Ocella). It's the same thing.

Hello there, If I can give women out there an advice it be NOT to take BC Pills! I was on Yasmin for 5 years, unlike others I did not experience physical side effects but it did ruin my marriage since it destroyed my libido, no sex drive at all! I decided to stop it in December of 07, and i have been on the most horrible ride of my life.First the periods were allot in one month or back to back. They would last for about 10 days! and then came the Acne!
