5121963 tn?1363905257 After these 5 years I had a punctuation done, because one of the cysts became bigger and after that I was on ZOLADEX shots for six months (in a condition of menopause - awful side effects!!!). After that I started with Yasmin again and stopped after one years in order to TTC. After I stopped with Yasmin, my endo condition became worse, the cysts were rapidly growing and the painful and awful periods are back.
730826 tn?1317943334 Im not vomiting any more but still am nausious. Its been a month since then. Can the side effects last this long or is there another reason for the nausea?
1313343 tn?1274833215 Aren't such side-effects as abdominal cramps have been reported for Yasmin? As I have found them in the drugs description.
Avatar f tn i never wanted to take pills because of the side effects. its my 1OTH DAY of taking the pills. no drastic improvement with my acne yet. im quite sleepy lately, i dont know if this is one of the effects of the pill. anyway, my greatest concern is that after i stopped taking the pill after 6 months, im afraid of acne breakouts. is there anyone here who after stopping never had problems of breakouts?
1051017 tn?1349636853 I've personally never been on Yasmin, but I have heard from other women about the side effects they experience. They almost always end up switching to another brand.
Avatar f tn This is because birth control hormones are the hormone therapy that is least likely to cause bad side effects. For this reason, they can be used for years, while other hormone therapies can only be used for several months to two years. Birth control pills can also be used to stop or further slow endometriosis growths after endometriosis surgery. Like all hormone therapies and surgery, birth control hormones do not cure endometriosis.
Avatar f tn Hi everyone, I was diagnosed with endo 6 months back and was operated on immediately. The gyne later commented i had stage 4 endo which was very sever at my age (I'm 26 this year). Subsequently, i was given Decapeptyl for 3 consecutive months, stopped for 3 months and now starting to take Yasmin..I've read about the side effects of Yasmin but there seems to be few people taking Yasmin to help with endometriosis..can anyone advise?
1761691 tn?1313171747 with the Ortho it took me 4months to get over the side effects. took it for 6 months before TTCin n it wasn't so bad. as for the Yasmin, it gave me horrible migraines and I kept on vomiting every time I took it. if ur sure about the Yasmin pills then I'd recommend that u wait until u finish ur ortho first to avoid unnecessary bleeding. Good luck!
Avatar n tn How long will it take after stopping the Yasmin pill.
Avatar m tn Google has terrified me with stories of ovarian cancer and other serious conditions. Can someone please tell me if these side effects are normal?
Avatar f tn Has anyone had any bad effects from using Yasmin birth control? I had my iud removed and the dr. put me on yasmin but before i start taking them i just wanted some feedback... thank you...

Avatar n tn i just began taking yasmin today (never taken birth control before). so just now i began doing my research on yasmin, and it seems that the side effects are crazy! i cant say anything because this is only my day. i know pills work differently for everyone but i am really quite scared. what should i do? anyone have any good stories about yasmin??
Avatar f tn I have been on yasmin pill for 3 months. It gave me too many side effects so i stopped on the fourth month half way through.. I had my periods right after (big cramps, lot of blood) - my first period day was on 31st of may. I should have ovulated on the 13th then, although I feel like i ovulated 7 days after that, so on the 20/21st of june.. I have been waiting for my periods and they are not coming. I have some weird symptoms as if i was pregnant.
Avatar n tn It is possible to have a baby, don't worry! Talk to your doctor about Yasmin - this medication can help, but it depends of your condition. Have you talked to your doctor about some kind of treatments? I had laparoscopy done three years ago, but my situation with endometriosis was serious, and after that I started taking Yasmin (i did't felt any side effects that were serious). After the lap, I lost my right ovary, but I am still able to have a baby. So, don't worry about that.
Avatar n tn I was on yaz for a year and a few months (just stopped taking it recently) and had awful side effects while on the pill and from stopping it. I was regular at first but then became irregular after a while, one of the more minor side effects. The first thing you need to do right now is see your doctor, which you are doing. If you are not pregnant you should look into the side effects of yasmin and possibly switch to a lower dose pill.
Avatar n tn i took yasmin for nearly one year then stopped(my periods were regular while taking yasmin), got pregnant after 2months of stopping yasmin, but unfortunately it was ectopic and so i lost it. i would advice you to be careful once you stop yasmin. Also i was taking caltrate(vitaminD+calcium) tablets once a day.
Avatar f tn Hi Mils86, I'm extremely familiar with Yasmin and it's post-side-effects. I was on the pill for 7 years before I decided to come off of it and let my body regulate itself out, much like what you're wanting to do. About three months after coming off of the pill, my cycles were highly irregular and I experienced similar symptoms to what you're describing.
Avatar n tn I was on the pill and had side effects from yasmin but tricyclin was ok and alesse was good too. I cant remember to take tehm daily so Im switching to the ring and see how that goes.
