Hello, You take all 28 Yasmin pills (the whole pack) and than you take a break of 8 days without Yasmin. In that 8 days you should get your period. On the 8th day you start the new pack of Yasmin. And every time the same. That's the process. When you want to end taking them for good you just stop taking them or consult a doctor if they are prescribed like some kind of therapy. Take care!

I've been taking Yasmin 28 for nearly two years. As far as waiting for your period, it's supposed to happen during that week you are not taking pills (Yasmin 28 has placebos that I take during that week so I don't forget to start a new pack). Hello, I also have dealt with the same since I was 19 I am now 28. My doctor have only prescibed birth control "Yasmin" to help control or even "cure" my facial hair from under my chin; However, I can't say that the Yasmin didn't work because I never really stayed on it long enough to find out b/c of the side affects. Nevertheless, you may be a different make-up than me. My body just couldn't handle it.

Yasmin (at least the only one I've ever heard of) is a birth control pill. It's not going to abort. If you've already ovulated, there is nothing that's going to stop it. Wait until your period is due and if it's late, take a pregnancy test. If it comes as usual, start using condoms and birth control.

I am a healthy 45 yr old woman who started taking Yasmin on November 26, 2008. My last period was around the 12 of November. I started taking the Yasmin immediately because I wanted to try to hold off the horrible PMS I've been having for the past 6 months or so. I actually want to get the 28 day Pill Pack, but where I live, they only sell “Yaz” and “Yasmin” ( 28 day pill pack)and I only heard bad things about those two pills, so my only option is to get the 21 day pill pack. If I start taking it, I have to take it everyday at the same time for 21 days and then have a 7 day break. What if I get my period during the 7 day break and it stops before the 7 day break finishes.

hello, Im orni 28 years old. After trying to have a baby for 10 months without results i went to a gynecologist. After the ecography he explaind me that my left ovary is filled with menstrual blood, because of endometriosis. He gave me Yasmin for one month, and than we tried again for other 2 months and still nothing. My husband's spermiogram resulted ok. Now my question is: Are This 12 months of infertily normal, because my right ovary seems normal.

Hi. I was on Yasmin three years, after that I was on Zoladex and now I am on Yasmin again. I don't know for sure, but I think that Yasmin prevents ovulation and it makes harder for sperm to reach uterus (it is harder for the fertilized egg to attach to the uterus). I have read this: The primary mechanism of Yasmin is inhibition of ovulation.

BUT, im mad because i know the dr will tell my dad. And, i cant have that. I dont want my family knowing. Do i have any course of a lawsuit? What do i do? I want to talk to my fam dr but im embarrassed becasue i feel like he wont understand and he will look at me as a dope addict. I never dr shopped, ever. Never.

So I hear (and I have also read) that yasmin is AWESOME for women with PCOS.. Any comments? I am about to switch from alesse to yasmin but I am nervous because there have been many birth control pills that give me uncontrollable mood swings, anxiety and depression. Alesse has been okay for me, not the best, but ok. Does anyone else experience this when they take birth control pills? I think that it is related very closely to PCOS.

i know u may not want to put her on the pill, but it may be the only option you have so she will have a normal 28 day cycle. a pill like Yasmin which I take, is a low dose pill. If she has acne then Yasmin will also clear that up too.

I would say to try the pill out for a few months, like 3 UNLESS your symptoms get worse. The body needs time to adjust to any bcp and 3 months is the normal. I'm on Yasmin too and never had any problems with it. Yasmin is one of the top bcp that is given to woman with pcos because most woman can tolerate it better then other bcp. The only thing I've found while taking Yasmin (and I think this goes for ALL bcp) it raises my blood pressure a little.

i took yasmin for nearly one year then stopped(my periods were regular while taking yasmin), got pregnant after 2months of stopping yasmin, but unfortunately it was ectopic and so i lost it. i would advice you to be careful once you stop yasmin. Also i was taking caltrate(vitaminD+calcium) tablets once a day.

I too am on Yasmin, but never had any problems while taking them. I was told that Yasmin bc is the best choice given to those with acne problems and pcos. It's a mild dose of bc. Try to give yourself 3 months to regulate it in your body. Consult your doctor if you have serious side affects. Are you taking any other meds for your pcos? I'm also on Metformin for weight issues. I started my journey in September 2008 at 333lbs and I am now at 272lbs.

I have PCOS and have been on Yasmin BCP for like 6 years to control my PCOS symptoms. The reproductive endocrinologist told me Yasmin is the gold standard for PCOS patients because the drospirenone works best in mitigating the symptoms of high testosterone like acne and hair growth. Well my gyn nurse practitioner called and I guess there is new evidence out that Yasmin is causing causes more blood clots than other BCPs, and this is a risk that increases as you get older.
