Hello! I had endometriosis, cysts, tumor and blood thickening on my right ovary and and it was removed during laparoscopy 8 years ago. I had smaller problems with my left ovary, so after the lap and in the next 5 years I was on YASMIN pills for stopping the endo from growing. After these 5 years I had a punctuation done, because one of the cysts became bigger and after that I was on ZOLADEX shots for six months (in a condition of menopause - awful side effects!!!).

I feel hopeless so she mentioned that studies have shown the pill and also anxiety and depression meds can help the hormonal changes and regulate my moods and newly changing menstural cycle. I was so looking forward to turning 40 up until 5 months ago when my mood just shifted.

got way longer on it- I used to only bleed for 4 days on Aleese, then gradually this increased and due to weight gain and water retention switched to Yasmin...well after a year on that I was bleeding for 8 to 9 days (still bleeding even while taking the 'active' pills) also I started getting cramps and what not and my dr kept saying that should not be happening since you only have a withdrawal bleed...

You should see the doctor and ask him what kind of medication he can put you on that would help with the symptoms and weight gain. For me, what has worked in the past is a low carbohydrate diet and exercise. Having PCOS does make you gain weight, but at the same time, if you lose the weight (I know it's hard) it helps you start ovulating again and control the other symptoms.

I am now day 14 on the pills and been taking it very regularly at around the same time everyday. I am constantly feeling tender nipples, bloating, slight weight gain and now mild cramps in lower belly right side. I assume its due to ovulation prevention from the pills?

Before this I was on the depo shot. But it was causing me to gain weight. So my doctor switched me. And so i dont know the side effects very well for this pill. But i did hear that this pill was supposed to "regulate" your period. Thats why Im asking(: Any answers are very much appreciated!

I also normally only gain weight in my butt but now have back fat and love handles. I normally do not gain weight in my stomach and it is so bloated, I look pregnant even with sucking it in. I truly feel the most disgusting ever! I hope that the 8 pounds comes off easily after stopping the Yaz. I decided to take a pill break and hope things revert to normal. Hello, You take all 28 Yasmin pills (the whole pack) and than you take a break of 8 days without Yasmin. In that 8 days you should get your period. On the 8th day you start the new pack of Yasmin. And every time the same. That's the process. When you want to end taking them for good you just stop taking them or consult a doctor if they are prescribed like some kind of therapy. Take care!
