I actually want to get the 28 day Pill Pack, but where I live, they only sell “Yaz” and “Yasmin” ( 28 day pill pack)and I only heard bad things about those two pills, so my only option is to get the 21 day pill pack. If I start taking it, I have to take it everyday at the same time for 21 days and then have a 7 day break. What if I get my period during the 7 day break and it stops before the 7 day break finishes.

Hi my gyno put me of birth control pills to help get my ovaries producing hormones again and she said they would help releve some of the other symptoms...excess hair, acne etc. But I just started taking them two weeks ago and I feel sick to my stomach all the time, I feel exhausted tired....I am really over weight so that could be the cause of the tired feeling. But I just feel sick...has anyone else felt this way with these pills and are they really help full with treating symptoms??

Where I am from its called plan B. you can get it at your local health center. some places have a program so you can get it for free as well as birth control and paps. this is something i Suggest you check out.. best of luck.

I've been taking Yasmin 28 for nearly two years. As far as waiting for your period, it's supposed to happen during that week you are not taking pills (Yasmin 28 has placebos that I take during that week so I don't forget to start a new pack). I'm also waiting for my period, but it's almost two weeks late and all the tests I've taken are coming back negative.

Im really tired of getting sick from birth control. Though its not every week like when I was on yasmin, nuva ring still makes me get sick every month and a half-ish. Im real close to going back to the crossed fingers over the crossed legs method. Worked for 5 months before!

Hello, I am 20 years old and I am in college, I started taking Yasmin birth control about 6 months ago. I have never been an overly-emotional or person nor have I ever dealt with depression. Depression doesn't run in my family either, overall I am a pretty happy-go-lucky girl. However, when I started taking Yasmin I noticed I would get extra emotional usually around my period, or I would get angry and snap for no reason. This is not how I normally act.

Just wondering if anybody has taken syeda for birth control,and if you experienced any unwanted side effects.Nausea,weight loss/gain?My daughter is now taking this,and wanted to know about any side effects that anybody has experienced .

am on Yasmin, the 28 days one. I just finished my course of antibiotics [Augmentin] - took the last pill this morning. I also took the last of my active yasmin pills in the pack last night. I will drink my first inactive pill tonight, BUT today I had unprotected sex. What should I do? I just bought Norlevo emergency contraception (single intake 2 tablets). But if I take it, I won't be able to see if my period does come. I also bought a clear blue pregnancy test, when should I take the test?

Ok so I started my cycle on the 19th after 5 months of not having one (PCOS) Anyways, when I was intially diagnosed about a yr or 2 ago doctor's prescribed me birth control but I never took it. Could be from the type of birth control you are on. I came off my pill (yasmin) in August 2009 and have started to have an increase of vaginal fluids. Does the fluid smell? If so, does it have a fishy oder? If not, then it's most likely just normal body fluids. Do you have the discharge everyday? Check with your doctor.

m going to go back on oral birth control (yasmin) after baby bc I want another baby a year or so later. After baby two, I'll do an iud.

Hello, I also have dealt with the same since I was 19 I am now 28. My doctor have only prescibed birth control "Yasmin" to help control or even "cure" my facial hair from under my chin; However, I can't say that the Yasmin didn't work because I never really stayed on it long enough to find out b/c of the side affects. Nevertheless, you may be a different make-up than me. My body just couldn't handle it.

You will not need any other method of contraception or any back-up birth control method. After starting any new method it may take 2-3 months for your body to adjust to the changing hormone levels. I just wanted to let you know that Yasmin is a very expensive birth control pill and they are not a very good form of it, due to problems Yasmin has encountered. As far as if you are safe I cannot say 100 % you are safe, but I can say that you are taking the right measures to prevent pregnancy ( other than abstinence ).

Any comments? I am about to switch from alesse to yasmin but I am nervous because there have been many birth control pills that give me uncontrollable mood swings, anxiety and depression. Sometimes after being on birth control you have to wait until your cycels are regular. Are you keeping track of when you get your periods? Are you sure your Ovulating?
