why do you throw up after smoking

I'm 22 years old and a smoker (not sure if that matters) but for awhile now (a year or so) i will throw up what I'm guessing is bile. it is lime green in color and comes out very "watery" and "mucus" like. It happens right when i wake up and take a shower. after i brush my teeth i get extremely nauseous and throw this "substance" up, it last all of about 10 min. I feel fine before and after.

Every once and a while (maybe once a month, maybe more...) I'll need to throw up the meals I've eaten that day. Its not a nauscious feeling, just something telling me I need to go throw up. Its usually in the afternnon or evening, and it's like I didn't digest anything for the day. ALL of the food I've eatin that day comes out the same way it went in. It's almost never broken down and this is HOURS after I've eaten it.

) and its a good way to quit smoking after ur pregnancy too. I dont plan to start smoking again. And i made my bf quit with me but if he wont there is nothing u can do. But i saw my nephew playing with a lighter and a pack of cigs at my brothers house once and that will never be my baby. So good luck.

Just a little FYI...my mom stopped smoking 13 years ago after a lifetime of lighten up. She was just recently diagnosed with COPD and is now on full time O2 and will be for life. The onset was very sudden. COPD is the 4th leading cause of death in the US. Take your drs seriously!! Sorry to be such a downer I just worry about all you smokers!

my cousin was throwing up up until she delivered. have you asked your doctor for nausea pills? try some water with a lemon wedge in there. it helps me.

I'm 12 weeks an for the past 3 days I feel like that.. my stomach growls/makes noises and I feel hungry then when I eat I get full so fast.. then I feel like imma just throw up. I've been taking 3 tums before I eat or after. I've been eating pretzels.. they don't make me feel sick they sorta help. Have your doctor check you for whooping cough. If you cough so hard that you throw up, it may be that. If you have GERD or Reflux, you may not necessarily have heartburn or chestpain. Your stomach may secrete extra acid and this will cause symptoms like coughing/choking. If you do have GERD the medicine NEXIUM would help tremdously.

If you were my patient, I would advise you that there are many reasons to quit smoking if you are pregnant. Smoking does not cause birth defects, but It can cause other problems like failure of the baby to grow well. It is also harmful to the health of the mother and the baby after birth. SO if you can quit, you would definitely be advised to do so! Good luck!

Other people who ended up smoking again after a quit have told me similar stories. I think that as long as you and I don't have even a drag off a smoke and remind ourselves why we quit, then we should both be fine. In my opinion, we are like alcoholics who quit and have to remember to not have even 1 drag as we will become full on smoking addicts again if we do. One smoke becomes a million. so yesterday i was eating a bowl of top ramen chicken flavor soup and i was coughing more then usual that day. and about 20 minutes after eating the soup i continue to cough and eventually throw up. i through up all the soup along with this black liquid. ive had no stomach pains or any other symptoms. Whst you need to remember is quitting st some point would be a good idea but going cold turkey is not how to do it. You can throw the baby into shock. And enf up causing problems. Try every week cutting back a certain number, until done. And like the other woman side.
