Avatar n tn 6 is is complaining of abdominal pain around his belly button. He is very lethargic and he will not eat. He is not voiding as much. What could be wrong with him. There is no diarrhea or vomiting.
Avatar f tn Hi there been a little worried since this morning not sure how I should go about it. Last I went on drinking binge so woke up with pretty horrible hangover my body feels like it got ran over by a bus also have lower back pain feels like it's on my pelvis and radiates to my hips basically feel terrible today nothing surprising.
Avatar n tn Kelly almost everything can be seen. About the only thing that wouldn't be picked up would be nerves, or possibly mild inflammation. Adhesions might not be visualized. CT gives a good overall view, but even when it's clear if the doc suspects 'something' is going on you might have to have further testing done. In some cases of mild inflammation, it can result in adhesion formation and in many cases depending on where it's located it won't be visualized.
Avatar n tn Hello, There are many possibilities to your symptoms. The most likely one is appendicitis(inflammation of the appendix).Others are irritable bowel syndrome(irregular bowel movements of constipation and diarrhea along with the pain and nausea are there), Crohn's disease(Crohn's disease most commonly affects the last part of the small intestine, usually located in the right lower abdomen) ,kidney infections, intestinal obstruction, mesenteric occlusion or enteritis.
4734947 tn?1358531198 Specifically which tests were done at the ER and what were the results? Where is the pain located - again, specifically? Before your took the magnesium, had you suffered any other gastro discomfort? Are you on any medications, prescription or other? What were your bowel habits before the time you took the magnesium? Any GI issues run in your family?
Avatar n tn So also it can be a pain of appendicitis, where the appendix is placed behind the intestine. Ultrasound, CT or MRI of lower abdomen or whole abdomen would have ruled this out. The other possibility you can explore is Irritable bowel syndrome. The walls of intestine go into spasm often and cause sudden excruciating pain. It could also be pain of chronic intestinal obstruction relieved by vomiting. Maybe a barium study of the digestive systm will be able to diagnose the problem.
Avatar f tn and was told cyst becasue I told them I had one on my 1st visit with ob so given an ultrasould and you can see some growth like sticking out went to ob 3 days later they listen to heartbeat and said cyst was on other side but since I wasnt in pain ok everything is good stay regular everyday and drink lots of water. The pain has been here for 5 days now I can bearly walk. I have noticed Im constipated and everytime this happens the day before I pee 13 to 15 times any help out there.
Avatar m tn t seem to be a consistent thing that causes the pain (again the pain is mostly in the groin and right on the side) how much of that is a chance at appendicitis? I've had two CT Scans in the past year and would really prefer not getting another one if at all possible (after all, the last two showed nothing, and I'm sick of spending that much money and subjecting myself to that much radiation without something serious being found).
Avatar f tn My question would also be.....specifically where is the pain located? If you described your pain to your doc a lower right side and they took out your gallbladder, something doesn't 'jibe.' Gallbladder pain is usually located in the upper right quadrant. The only pain typically associated with the gallbladder that might be lower would come from spasms at the sphincter of Oddi - a place where the common bile duct enters the duodenum.
Avatar m tn But I still have slight pain where my appendix is, so I went to the doc again 2 days later and saw a different doctor who said that its not appendicitis and that its probably associated with Irritable Bowel Syndrome (ive had it since i was born practically). I dont have a fever, im not vomitting, i can move and walk fast and do my daily activities with no problem...but Im just weirded out by this slight pain where my appendix is.
Avatar f tn I have exactly the same pain when I touch the area on my spine where my syrinx is. It is sore all the time. Plus I have pain between my shoulder blades and in my sternum area all the time which is a raw pain much like the pain you get where you've had a deep cut or have had surgery. It is unrelenting but it does fad a lot if I am lying down and not moving. You are not imagining things. Pain is very individualized and it moves around and changes.
Avatar f tn Sometimes it wakes me up in the middle of the night. I have had pain in the center of my abdomen (where my belly button is located). I have been prescribed magnesium oxide, miralax, tramadol, and, omerzapole. Nothing relieves the pain.
Avatar f tn •Abdominal Pain. This is often located in the right lower abdomen or right iliac fossa. It is a colicky abdominal pain which just resolves momentarily without any intervention. The sufferer, usually a child, may be completely pain free between attacks. Characteristically, the pain moves from one spot to the other on the abdomen, in keeping with the movement of the bowel loops in the abdominal cavity.
Avatar n tn This is happened numerous times to me and 3 of the times i have been sent to the ER. Every time the first possible diagnosis is Appendicitis. Which is where your appendix is appears swollen on a cat scan and needs to be removed because it is going to rupture. Everytime i have had this pain i have been diagnosed with mesenteric adintis, which is when glands around the intestines are swollen. The pain is extremely bad.
Avatar m tn Hello~I am thinking it may be due to the appendix. Some folk have what is called "chronic appendicitis" this is where pain in felt in the area, but it does not get bad enough to warrant surgery. I would certainly discuss this with your physician to rule out any thing serious.
Avatar f tn Since then my bleeding has stopped but the cramps have not. Usually my pain is only located on my right side, but for the past week it has been all acrossed my abdomen. I am not sexually active and yet the last time this happened I was diagnosed with a Uterin Infection. I don't know how I got it but it took two bouts of antibiotics to kick it. I can't even bend over without the cramps getting worse. I need some ideas as to what it could be.
Avatar m tn I have had intermittent LRQ pain for about 3 months becoming more frequent in nature. It is intense, level 9, with rebound severe pain. It subsides after a couple of hours and there are no residual symptoms. No fever, etc. only very localized LRQ pain. It hurts to walk and I must sit down with great care, I have performed some of the tests for appendicitis such as lying supine with my right leg bent and pushing over to the left...this results in much pain.
Avatar f tn Yes the pain goes and comes plse help me without saying go to the doctors. My pain is in the lower right where the appendix sits. My sister told me if i had appendicitis, my pain would be getting worse cuz my aPpendix pain has been going for like 2 months now but only once the pain was severe and that was in the morning.
