Could be migraines. Does it throb right behind your left eye??? I've had migraines for years (comes with having 4 kids I think-ha); the only meds that help relieve most of the pain are Zomig (really expensive, but no generic version yet) and Meloxicam (generic for Mobic) - both pills taken together usually decrease pain within an hour or two. Hope this helps. My doc also suggested Imitrex when I can't afford the Zomig anymore.

d personally suggest getting a few triptan prescriptions or samples at once if possible due to the fact that you do not have insurance and triptans can be very expensive and you may want to be able to have a selection of price-points to choose from once at the pharmacy. The fast acting triptans such as Zomig Nasal Spray and Maxalt-MLTs are some of the best triptans on the market, but they are also the most expensive triptans on the market.

The triptan you are currently using is Imitrex, generic name Sumatriptan. The triptan that I use is Zomig Nasal Spray, generic name Zolmitriptan. Some other examples of triptans are Maxalt, generic name Rizatriptan and Axert, generic name Almotriptan. It would be worth it to give one of these other triptans a try. I would suggest getting a triptan in a fast acting form, either a quick dissolve tablet or a nasal spray.

For the majority of my migraine headaches, the triptan that I use is Zomig Nasal Spray. I find that of all the triptans I have tried, for me, Zomig works best. I use the 5mg Nasal Spray. I also have a prescription for Imitrex Injection too, although the Imitrex Injection is to use for my most severe migraine headaches (what I used to call my "suicide headaches" or what I now refer to as a 9/10 headache using the Pain Scale that was recently posted in Pain Management Community Forum).

And... it's not something that is specific to axert or anything... it can happen if you mix any of the migraine meds with other medications that do stuff to serotonin... it's just that axert is one of the stronger ones...

Headache on left front side with a crazy visual aura, took zomig, hour later took ibuprofen 600, albuterol sulfate and Ritalin. Dealt on my own for 6yrs (WAY TOO LONG). When the neurologist gave me an rx for relpax (along with two other things) couple of wks ago, had no clue why it only had six pills in the box. They worked like GOLD if I took them soon enough with an acute migraine attack. Didn't last long though. After four days, was out of the six pills. Thought that's why he gave me "5 refills" until dumby me went to the pharmacy to get what I thought would be the first refill.

ve been taking 1 zomig tablet practically everyday. Zomig are meant to be for migraines. They make my headache better most of the time but really hate the side effects they have. They make you really tired and give me this sick feeling. Apart from that I'm like a zombie all the time. It has of course affected my life negatively and feel I've lost my will do many things such as studying, working on relationships, etc.

It is the new generation rizatriptan and the side effects with me anyway were minimal in comparasion with other tablets like cafergot, migral and zomig. With zomig it used to give me a terrible sensation of my head been squeezed in a vice and with time it just got worse. I believe all medication messes with your liver and kidneys - the secret is to find one that works for you and has minimal side effects.

t snowball into a severe migraine...but the thing is, the Zomig will work (sometimes the headache comes back, though, which is normal), but then the next day I'll get the mild headache again! Zomig is a very expensive medication and although I am covered for perscription drugs, I don't think its a medication that is meant to be taken everyday. And like I said I don't think the migraines are bad enough to warrant preventative medications...

I felt a hot/warm sensation in my right ear then it continued to spread to half my head. I then temporarily couldn't see straight or focus with my eyes for about 1 minute, i thought i was losing my eyesight. Now i'm fine though, what's wrong with me? I'm scared. I have taken zomig for my migraines. it comes in a pill or nasal spray. if you can deal with nasal spray use it. it works really fast i just cant spray anything up my nose! haha one time was all i could handle. i take maxalt. for me it works the fastest. your dr. will probably give you several diff. kinds of samples and have you see which works best on you.

Hi.... in order that I use them: Home use: - Zomig nasal spray... it is a triptan... so, a migraine medication. At the first signs of a migraine. - Naproxen tablets. If the triptan doesn't provide relief. Help it out with Naproxen... a strong prescription NSAID that is often used for migraine pain. - Gravol tablets. Also will use this if the zomig doesn't help. OR i will use this along with the zomig right away if i have nausea with the migraine.

I took a clearblue digital test on the beginning of my second week of possible conception and it was negative. Tomorrow will be the beginning of my fourth week. A neurologist will be able to say for sure that this is a migraine and if it is not then you will get proper treatment for what it is instead of triptans which are migraine medication. If it is a migraine, which is probable, then a neurologist can prescribe preventative medication, which is better than using triptans daily...

I have been home for 5 days now only to wake up in extreme pain this morning and blow my own detox program by taking 2 norco at same time to avoid the Fiornal. (although i have used all of them at some point) don't get the tablets... like imitrex, the tablets don't work. But, the nasal spray DOES work incredibly well and this is what is usually prescribed anyway. - Almotriptan. brand name Axert. a very powerful triptan tablet.

s had problems with holding her urine. At times it will just come out. She was put on a med. from the Vet. Does anyone know of a generic brand or natural one that will do the same. I can't keep going back paying office visits everytime she needs a new med.

Pregnancy often exacerbates anxiety and depressive symptoms, bigtime. Right now, your disorders are NOT being managed. That would be a VERY bad idea. Also, your financial situation could be improved. It has been an interesting process, but I think I have finally figured out the medication issues. Here's the lay of the land: 1. I have always been sensitive to medications; they either work for me or the SEs are unbearable. 2. I have never had any luck when I have been placed on the generic brands of medications. Celexa especially; I was on it for 10 years, tried the generic several times and paid for it. 3. I have also been on Neurontin for the past 10 years.

My doctor tells me that OxyContin is going to be discontinued. Does anyone know anything about this? I have been on Oxy for about 3 years now and have never felt the need to increase the dose that helps my neck and back pain. I am on 10 mg twice a day, but I cut back to half a pill morning and night (so a total of 10 mg once a day now) and just withdrawing from that was hellish (i know, its a low dose but everyone is different).
