Avatar f tn 10) so the doctor told me that ususally WBC over 15 they do consider it bacterial infection and he told me if till tomorrow he remains fever free we will not give antibiotics and later when ESR came high 35 he said maybe you can start antibiotics for him! I am not a fan of antibiotics, so I took other opinion and doctor told me to wait till tomorro if the fever will not come back so don't give meds! I don't know now who should I listen to?
Avatar f tn Its hard to know what the ins and outs of your relationship are to give you confidence in how you should handle it. Sometimes when someone pulls away, its what's best for them or you and its hard to not worry but you have to be okay with that.
Avatar m tn None of them seem to relate to the closure of the windpipe and cant give me a straight answer when I ask them. Has anyone an answer or better still has anyone else had this problem.
Avatar n tn I'm 8 weeks pregnant with my 2nd baby my daughter is only 18 months and I'm a little embarrassed because I don't want to hear the criticism that being prego again so soon entitles, when is a good time to tell people?
Avatar n tn s probably bacause the bacteria are resistent to antibiotics. You may need to swithch to another antibiotics. However, elimination of the source of infection is essential, which consists of endodontic treament or surgical procedure.
Avatar f tn I have a friend who is doing suboxone and he loves it. I hate to admit, I am too scared to give up my lortab rx. The suboxone clinic checks your rx history and follows it each month so I would have to give it up, plus not being able to take it because of the med in it that makes you sick. What if the sub. doesn't work and then i dont get my rx anymore. Geez, I just read that, sounds like a drug addicts excuse if i ever heard one. i am so pissed at myself.
Avatar f tn t be anything your doc can do otherwise. There is nothing to be done for a normal stomach virus and antibiotics are only used for an infection which would have an accompanying fever. Just ride it out!

Avatar f tn We told my step-kids (17/14) at 18 weeks (21 wks now). I think it would be fun to tell your kids at Christmas & the kids can have fun guessing if baby is brother or sister and be a part of your pregnancy. Congrats!
Avatar f tn Dear Marie, Thanks for your response. I did less well on Synthroid than I do on generic levothyroxine, however my prescription is written to be filled from Mylan labs and no other to avoid the fluctuations common to various generics. I did not do well on T4 only and ONLY feel a difference with the administration of T3, and I cannot take a generic for that, it made my labs go crazy until I went back on Cytomel.
Avatar f tn What ever you do, Do not give up. It happens from time to time. Just get back to what you are suppose to take. If you have the pills to do it, Don't go to fast.Or you will have w/d's. But don't trag it out so long that you lose hope... And whatever you do, Do not beat yourself up!! This addiction is powerful...
Avatar f tn Pseudomonas is typically a very hard bacteria to kill and becomes drug resistant when antibiotics are used very often. My daughter had pseudomonas several months ago and had to have her ear swabbed and cultured. The pseudomonas was resistant to all the drug classses but the newest cyclosporin. She has had chronic ear infections since she was a baby (she's 13).
Avatar f tn I know the pain will be bad but it all will be worth at the end. My mum gave birth to 7 kids all natural without any drugs. With my first I want to experience it all on my own so when they hand me my bubs I wsnt be druged up and not knowing whats going own. All I want is my husband there holding my hand and rubbing my back.
242516 tn?1368223905 When do I need antibiotics for a cold, as an adult? Never. Are you sick with a runny nose, sore throat, cough, possibly even goey green and brown stuff coming out? Well, you're not alone, you've got a cold like millions of other adults right now around the world. Colds are upper respiratory infections that are almost always caused by viruses in adults. They typically get better after a week to ten days.
Avatar n tn When we started tracking CFS patients who were on antibiotics for chronic infections like Mycoplasma and Chlamydia, we noticed that after some period of time many of these patients complained that they had reached a plateau where the antibiotics were no longer affording them additional help in their recoveries. However, after they switched to other antibiotics, their recovery continued.
Avatar f tn Okay so I'm 22 and I been having trouble with bv since I was 18...Bv is a infection inside the vagina that causes discharge and a fishy odor. Trust me when I tell u it's embarrassing and something I don't like talking about but I have no idea what to do anymore.
451334 tn?1322512919 I go outside where she is at and she was shaking really bad and her eyes were rolling to the back of her head. Everyone there kept trying to give her food and her inhailer (sp?) while we were waiting for her ride so I finally grabbed my teacher and pulled her a side and told her what was going on ( she was very understanding). She gets taken to the hospital and a few hours later I got a phone call from her saying that she was better.
Avatar n tn have an appt. to have tooth pulled out on the 14th. How long should I give the lump to go down before going to ER for Iv antibiotics?
Avatar f tn yes, that is a symptom of a bladder infection or urinary tract infection of which they will give you antibiotics for it. They also give you pills that help until the antibiotics kick in with the pain/burning. They turn your urine a funny color orange but definitely help with the discomfort. so, see a doctor asap. Either first thing tomorrow at your regular doctor/ob/gyn or at an urgent care today.
Avatar f tn I'm a first timer, so i don't know exactly how you feel but up until 19 weeks I was freaking out, over stressed, lost my job, baby daddy didn't have one, had to move into my parents and rely on them a lot. Baby daddy left me and all I wanted was an abortion every since I had found out. But you know what, baby's are a true blessing from above, after awhile it gets easier, yiu get more excited towards the middle to end.
Avatar f tn If the doctor gave you an antibiotic without running any tests, they were negligent. You are not supposed to give antibiotics for viruses, because they won't work on them. And if you possibly have spinal meningitis, they should be testing you for that and seeing if it is viral or bacterial in nature. I believe it is typically accompanied with high fever. Meningitis can be life threatening, so if you still think you might have that get to the doctor ASAP!
Avatar f tn I was sick the week of 3/10 and had to go on antibiotics. I took a pregnancy test and it was negative. The next week it was positive! Then started itching like crazy- SEVERELY, red welts, rash, over my ntire body. I thought we bugs in the house... pest control sprayed and found nothing. I thought maybe I was allergic to jelly beans (easter)... not them... My first midwife appointment was this past Monday... She thought it was the antibiotics.
Avatar f tn There are some medications that some are more prone to be allergic to when it occurs in the family. My grandpa is allergic to penicillin and 2 of my aunt's are too and so are their kids. It very much can be in the family. But I doubt that there would be an effect to your unborn baby. But I'd ask for a different family of antibiotics if you our any of your Dr seem concerned.
